Writing and Drinking Like Stephen King

For this second episode of Writing and Drinking Like Famous (Alcoholic) Authors I took a deep dive into the life and writing style of Stephen King and actually read my first Stephen King book! Several beers and a few pages into 'The Shining" I questioned why I haven't tried reading any of his books sooner.
This episode was a bit easier to dive into because while Stephen King has struggled with alcohol in his life, he is now sober and still writing to this day! His story is a story of perseverance and overcoming the obstacles of life, which unfortunately will not be too common in this series...
After reading the shining I am excited to continue reading more of Stephen King's work! What would you recommend I read next?
Also, what author would you like to see me cover after Edgar Alan Poe (not really looking forward to that one)?

It's bad because... well I wrote it drunk. Despite the impressive list of authors that will be covered in this series I assure you alcohol does not help improve your writing ability at all (although it can add to the fun)!
