Keep up the mods Manny! I have a 22 SF SP and am using these videos to guide me through a lot of the mods I also want to do. So please keep going to give me fresh ideas! Not to mention giving me the courage to do the deeper mods and MX myself! this is my 3rd streetfighter and I'm determined to keep this one away from the shop as much as possible and work on it myself and your videos help immensely!
D.I.D website has the dimensions of the rivets on it's website under the "Maintenance" pull down menu. The dimensions are listed in mm and inches. My D.I.D 520 VX3 chain master link rivets should be spread out to 5.51 to 5.79 mm; 0.217 to 0.228 inches. Take care and Ride Safe.

Very cool and great info. I am in the process of swapping my Monster 1200 Anniversario from 525 to 520. I ordered a DID EK 520, super lite front chromoly steel sprocket, and rear AEM Factory rear sprocket 520 and carrier with all titanium hardware. Only waiting on AEM factory parts from Italy.
You must be happy with the teeth count on front and rear sprocket. I have the streetfighter version of the sp and was considering either dropping a tooth in the front or two teeth in the rear Thank you for the time and video
I cannot remember if you said whether you ride on track, or if you do then whether you do it often. Considering the parts you sell, I’d find a track-bike build from a base V4 very interesting. Full suspension, wheels, other upgrades, etc.
Cornering less rotating weight, means the bike will be marginally more agile. Acceleration has all to do with how much more power is being transmitted to the wheel, I think it is the biggest difference it makes. If you watch our M1000RR sprocket and chain video we show the HRC MotoGP chain and talk about how their mechanics mentioned the chain makes a huge difference on how the bike accelerates.

Great timing - I’m looking at replacing my chain and sprockets on my SP2 and had been considering the same Sitta sprocket. Thoughts on the Sitta carrier or is the stock carrier perfectly ok? I don’t suppose you know the weight comparison between the Sitta and OEM carriers? If you were doing this for exclusively track use, which I am, what chain and sprockets would you choose? Your chosen items give a huge saving in weight and it’s rotational mass as well. Do you happen to know what brand/model the OEM chain is? I found that mine stretched quite quickly.
Oem chain may be a Regina but not too sure. The setup which we have used would be perfect for the track. It has the lightest components of each item. The Sitta carrier is nice but it is heavier than the Evotech.
@@Motomillion Thanks. The OEM chain seemed to stretch quite quickly, although I have insufficient experience to know how long I should expect a chain to last. I also considered CNC, but I had not thought of Evotech so I will give them a look.
We have seen too many failures with sprockets before that we do not like to take the chance. The brands who have been around and that specialize in sprockets offer great products already that it doesn’t keep us searching for others.
There are no figured on how much torque or power it will offer. If you go the route of the same parts as we showed on this video, it would be close to 4lbs off of your drivetrian which is pretty significant.
Touchy subject. We’ve seen too many failed sprockets from companies who are not specialized in sprocket manufacturing, hence why we carry only these two brands for the Ducati applications.
matte for mua.... saving up to upgrade to carbon soon @@Motomillion need wheel removal tool is a 3-in-1 tool.... that one you have it w/ the chain tension tool(already have that one on my side) [ which can be used to remove the rear wheel, rear sprocket carrier bolt and also the front wheel of your Ducati. Hi @Motomillion , I'd like to do the conversion 520 for my Monster 796 but I would like to keep the long life of the rear sprocket with the steel which would the option. Appreciate ;)

Right on Erik! Happy to hear and flattered that you are using this build as an inspiration.
That bike is just gorgeous, the touches he does are always top notch!
Thank you!
@@Motomillionhow much is all the cost of the upgrades you gave that bike sir?? must be too damn expensive right??😮😮
Thanks so much, I’m going to go buy those items, thanks Jerry
Have fun!

Good tip.
On EK3D chains you only need 5.35-5.40mm . That is spec for ek3d

Carbon ceramic light weight discs could be a good option?
Sometimes the price outweighs the benefits.

Both educational and entertaining! I was wondering why the 520 conversion! Know I know why!

I think of this everyday! Maybe once we have a clear schedule and access to a track privately we can make it happen!
@@Motomillion I think it would make some pretty awesome content. 👍
Besides more power to the wheel do you feel difference in acceleration or Cornering since it’s unsprung weight?

Any thoughts about carbon sprockets like Cerecarbon, would you recommend that for more weight savings or are alloys better?

nice gold chain
Thank you
The sitta front sprocket, how many teeth did you get?
The specs on the chain you listed says that it is for 1,000 cc bikes, my V4S is 1,103. Can I use the same chain? @Motomillion
I have the 2022V4S, What does the 520 chain offer compared to the Stock 525 chain as in torque and power?
There are no figured on how much torque or power it will offer. If you go the route of the same parts as we showed on this video, it would be close to 4lbs off of your drivetrian which is pretty significant.
Makes sense for track.
2k mile longevity for a sprocket doesn’t make any sense for the road unless you only ride around your local car park 😂
that's almost 3lbs of rotational mass...
it will definitely change the feel of the bike...
We will report shortly once we take it out for a ride!
Mani, any chance you can do a video showing how to replace the clutch plates?
We will look into this, Dry clutch or wet clutch?
@@MotomillionDry. I have the SP2 as well and would like to save some cash on clutch plate replacements.
A comparison of AEM, Motocorse, Cera Carbon and this setup would be interesting to see.

hi Manny, Would like to order the parts to upgrade my Duc SF V4 S 2021, also looking into carbon wheels for it.... thanks

Depends on how clean you keep that sprocket and chain setup.
Do you have full carbonfiber petrol tank for yamaha r1 2008 to 2014 model?
unfortunately no.
this bike is just sex on wheels...the m1000rr might be nice but it has no business in terms of looks to the sp2
