- Family Guy Stewies Therapist Mysteriously Dies
While at the therapist stewie talks about his British accent but the therapist doesn't hear stewies British accent, stewies therapy goes back and forth, the therapist voiced by Ian Mckellen tells stewie of his childhood and tells stewie that he is pretending something hes himself and later admits that everything about him is made up including his voice and stewies fake British accent. during the therapy Cecil Pritchfield experiences a heart attack and stewie decides to let him die as he knows stewies secret but he still pleads for his life eventually he dies.

it's almost as if they are all the same person, oh wait they are.
This is proof that Peter, Lois, and Meg can understand Stewie but choose to ignore him cause they know that he is evil and is capable of doing terrible things so for their own safety they ignore what he says but lets him go off and do what he wants. He is able to interact with literally everyone else so clearly he is understood by everyone.

The therapist isn't real, though. It's implied that he's a manifestation of what remains of Stewie's conscience and his introspection at himself, and the therapist dying represented how Stewie threw away his insecurities about how kids see him and decides to live for himself.

Stewie's real voice was just Seth McFarlane taking a break from character.
What's making this scene morr disturbing than the actual murders of Stewie is that those extreme things are so absurd that we know it's a joke. But this isn't an over-the-top show of violence. It's just Stewie deliberately denying to offer help to a dying man. This one's realistic and the fact that Stewie did this is making me feel horrible.
It does show that Stewie has changed though, considering how he couldn't sleep at night after not helping him.

I’d say this whole episode proves that Stewie is either insanely homicidal or that Brian killing Rupert had more of an effect on Stewie than we thought! Then again it’s pretty obvious that it’s a bit of both!

I honestly feel like the therapist was just playing on Stewie's insecurities with the accent debacle. First he says he can't hear him speaking in a british accent, and THEN he says he can't hear the change, if he'd at least recognized Stewie's insecurities and the willingness to change his accent, maybe he'd be alive.

This was a very deep episode, it was a mix of funny and with real emotions and a very relatable image from Stewie ( not the killing part of course) I think this might be one of the most complex episodes that I ever saw Family Guy doing, very interesting.

I am still wondering if this was real or not because at the end of episode Stewie woke up from a nightmare and needed Brian for comfort, which can mean two things, first the whole episode was a nightmare and Stewie still didn’t process that felt very upset about that dream or he is having nightmares of what he did to therapist and felt really guilty.
Also does anyone remember when Ian McKellen said on the Graham Norton show that he was happy to see Professor X die and think that Patrick Stewart is watching this while thinking, "We're even?"

At some point family guy writers decided that characters being horrendously cruel to each other with no actual jokes built in was inherently uproariously funny
I watch family guy for a long time but this was the only scene that was really hard to watch for me.
It’s even worse than Olivia’s death in the burning cardboard house. But she deserved it. Dr. Cecil Pritchfield was actually trying to help Stewie. That’s what makes his death emotional. I cried during that scene. Sir Ian McKellen seems like such a sweet old man.

Just to set the record straight, Stewie has what's called an 'upper-class English accent'. You see, when an American (or anyone for that matter) says Stewie has a 'British accent', a lot of us English folks cringe! I think Seth knows this, that's why he does it. To wind us up.
Just consider the fact that there are four different countries within Great Britain. So, when you say 'British accent'... which one are you referring to? A Scottish accent? A Northern Irish accent? An English accent or a Welsh accent? I mean, they're all British, so when someone says "British accent" it's really not insightfull. Besides, there are over 30 dialects and accents within Britain anyway.
All of this would be like me walking up to a Canadian and saying... "You have an American accent." Or going up to an American and saying they sound Canadian. I guarantee you guys wouldn't like it much. You have similarities, but you're not the same. It's the same here!
