I love Norma TAC22. I started using it in my High Standard Supermatic Citation because it is recommended to use only standard velocity ammo in that pistol. During the recent ammo shortage, my usual CCI Standard Velocity became unobtainable. It was difficult to find standard velocity ammo. But I found TAC22 and it was even reasonably priced. Turned out to be the perfect combination! Best accuracy ever from that pistol and 100% reliable feeding. As wonderful and accurate as that pistol is, it can be a "jam-o-matic" with ammo it doesn't like. So, why not, my wife and I tried it in our target rifles (a Savage MKII BTV and CZ 457 MTR) and it gives outstanding accuracy in those also! Thanks for the video!
Great video. I realize this video is several months old but you are correct, per a Norma cs rep they just changed the packaging of the Tac-22 to reflect the actual 1083 fps. rather than the 1100 fps. Having over 7k rounds of the black box, which is my go to range round, I just received 4 bricks of the red box this week and tested both this morning from one of my CZ 457 Varmint MTR's. Both were identical in 50 yrd. accuracy out of my rifle, going to try the Match-22 next.

RWS makes the Norma .22 ammo. I've heard the Norma Match is the RWS rifle match and the Tac-22 is the RWS Target. If your gun likes RWS (which my Savage does) the Norma line is a little cheaper to shoot.
Both my T1x and B14r love Norma TAC (black box) out to 50. They shoot it as well as anything else. At 100 they do really well but show some inconsistency vs the more spendy stuff like Lapua and Eley and SK. At 200 it falls apart tho. Pretty great bang for your buck really at 50 and 100. I haven't seen the red box stuff. Can't wait to try it.
using the other two rifles with these three rounds would be a wonderful way to really showcase the ammo as a whole. Also, bring out 82G, i know it will take time to make it through 30 rounds, but my 82g is my gold standard for checking ammo.
My 82G loves Wolf Match Target at 100 yards and by loves i mean 1" maybe larger group. It's a good rifle but it ain't even close to being on par with my Walthers or my Anschutz 54 and can't hold a candle to my Bergara. mechanically and quality wise the 82G is great but i think Wilson may have made those barrels for them and Wilson barrels by and large are not so good. When Kimber Started out Chick Donnelly in Applegate Oregon was making their barrels and those would be real shooters Chick made fine barrels with tooling and equipment he bought from Parker Ackley here in Orygun and Parker stayed with Chick and showed him how to make good barrels. Kimber demand got higher than Chick, a one man shop could keep up with. Chick was a friend and mentor so in his words he told them to bugger off so they started using Wilson barrels who apparently owns Cooper Rifles I hear. I hope the Cooper Rifles shoot as well as they cost, from my exp. putting them on customer rifles they aren't even as good as a Green Mountain, Shaw or Pac-Nor barrel and I'm no fan of those either. looking at .22 rifle barrels in a bore scope gives you a pretty good idea of the care taken or not when they were made.
I have a Savage Mark II FVSR that loves Norma Tac 2, especially the black box. Yesterday at the range at 50 yards twice it made one hole with 10 rounds. Shot MOA at 100 yards also. My CZ 457 does well with it, but the Savage does excellent with it. Red box is close but not quite as good as the black box. Excellent ammo. Ordered another brick from J&G Sales for 39.00 a brick.

I can’t compare ammo that way. I have to acclimate the barrel to the switched to ammo, before it starts to group. Often, at least the first three shots after a switch to a different ammo, moves about before settling into a point of impact.
I have a lot of that red box tac 22, it shoots really well out of all my firearms. I’d love to see you shoot this ammo out of other rifles .👍👍Thanks for the video
I love this but, you need to re shoot the white match box. Because you had a cold barrel less fowled. Allways precision shoot. 10 shots before you go for final groups. Warm that barrel up first
Man, a few years ago I found some Norma match at Sportsman's warehouse for $5/box. It was on clearance for some reason. I should have bought a couple cases of the stuff. All of my rifles love it. From my 10/22's to my 1949 Winchester model 52B. It produces ragged hole groups, with all of my rifles. As for Tac22, it's not the best in some of my rifles.
Hey Elijah, I’ve done the same experiment with these three ammos in my Bergara B14R and found that they came out the same as your CZ and I also used my Ruger Competition 10/22 with the same results. Nothing good to say about the Match but the Black box still shoots pretty well with both, the Bergara still wins between the two rifles. The jury is still out with the red box, I’m finding more flyers than I like with less consistency. I would love to see what the Wookie does with them, I’m thinking about having Kenny build me a RimX and it would be great if it did well with the black box, I’m well stocked with them😂 Great video and we appreciate you.
I bought some Norma T22 during the pandemic. It was horrible, would not cycle in any of my semi's. It would work in (RPR), only but was not very accurate. I've been reluctant to try it since, maybe I should give another try. Good videos!

We are plinkers, but we have some of the black box ammo on hand...we use it to sight scopes, and the stuff would be fine small game ammo out to 50 yards...the price of it has finally dropped a little, to 5.99 a box in our area...that is equivalent to CCI prices, but the Norma might be more consistent...y'all dealing with .25 inch groups feel free to argue, we good...
Shot black box last week. My 10 shot groups were ..46 to .59. 5 shot groups were .25 to .58. I had 4 groups under .30. Ruger 10/22 Target. I always make sure I have a rag when I shoot this stuff.

I bought a couple of boxes of the red Tac-22 just to see what it would do in my CZ-457. It seems to like it. It does shoot about a quarter to half inch higher than the Wolf Match, SK Rifle Match and the RWS Rifle Match. I do get good groups with it, so I bought a couple of bricks of it. The price is right.

I just picked up some of the red box tac 22 and it shoots amazingly out of my ruger American rimfire lrt .3 -.5 groups unreal for ammo that cost me 7.99 SD of 18 extreme spread of 42fps I got an average speed of 1051 out of the 22” barrel I’m picking up 1000 rounds this weekend lol
The new Norma is better at 100 yards in my Rifles and deifnitely more consistant as claimed but at 50 the Black Box is the King. As far as the 10-22 goes they are like an AR15 if you want an accurate one it's gona cost you, to many moving parts. Norma is made by Ruag who makes RWS etc. it's probably like Eley Club or Target. No complaints from me for $4 a box i can tell you.
I picked up two bricks of tac 22 about two years ago it turns my marlin 6o, my ruger 10/22 and my sig 1911-22 into single shot guns it will fire in my marlin model 80 bolt action and my Remmington nylon 76 lever gun. thank God I have less than 200 rounds left
DATR, a pretty good test big fella, I have only shot the black box and my Kimber 82G likes them really good, since you have or had 1500 rounds, get a few more rifles on the bench and do a " really " big test...........

What, exactly, do you think one 10 shot group with each cartridge in two different rifles proves? It would have been nice to have seen a second group with the Match-22 in the CZ. The first group was shot cold bore and that's never good for groups.
@@Dayattherange Yes sir I did. Christensen took it in for repairs and sent back a very capable .22 rifle. They did quite a bit to it, under warranty. I've shot 5 shot 50 yard groups at .3" with tenx and even had a 5 shot Centerx group at 50 yards at .23". It shot a 4 shot bughole with some proprietary Lapua ammo a sponsored shooter at our range gave me. I wish I could grab a case of that! LOL He also gave me 10 rounds of RWS R50 that I'll shoot when conditions are optimal. It shoots CCI SV fairly well too. I need to tune it and replace the stock trigger which will make it better. Can't ask for any more than that! Thank you for asking!!
I am curious if you cycled several rounds through each of the rifles to acclimate the lube from the Norma ammo? I would like to see different rifle platforms doing this too!

Thanks for your info my friend. I have a couple accurate 22s rem 40x winchester 52d. Both great shooters.. have been testing ammo for along time. Kinda got tired of testing. I shoot cci standard in all my 22s when I want to shoot little groups I grab my 40x and lapua ammo..

If you are switching between brands i absolutely agree. This is the same brand with the same lube, same powder but supposedly QC that separates them.

I just ordered some 1/4" dots. My Bergara B14R is up to the challenge! It has no problem with the 1/4" KYL target at 50 yds.

I shot some of the black box Tac22 late last year and it was garbage in my Christensen Ranger. So glad I only bought 100 rounds of it.

My CZ453 loathes Tac22 (2" groups at 50), but my CZ457 sporter tolerates it, barely. Both easily prefer Eley standard bulk box ammo over the Norma.
My 455 loves this stuff.

I bought Norma tac22 once didn't shoot as good as auto match in my guns mostly shot out of my colt woodsman that is very accurate with auto match
It's a hard comparison with bolt and semi auto?

Thanks for your info my friend. I have a couple accurate 22s rem 40x winchester 52d. Both great shooters.. have been testing ammo for along time. Kinda got tired of testing. I shoot cci standard in all my 22s when I want to shoot little groups I grab my 40x and lapua ammo..

They don't make it anymore.
My 10 22 shoots the old TAC22 into .250" for 5 shots @ 50 yds. All new tried is 1/2" at best
I’m told that al 10/22s throw the last round out of the magazine high and right.

That carbon fiber barrel ..they suck...couple different materials there...they all act different to the heat ..never get good tight groups with them
I usually hit 1/8” dots 19 times out of 20 shots. I shoot ABRA benchrest. Too many do better than that…
