  • Hi everyone!
This video is a deep talk, as well as a pep talk, from me as a triple amputee. How did I handle moving on with my life, and what are my best advise for you being in the same situation?
Please feel free to share this with people in need of help. No matter how dark things may seem there is a way back and life can continue, and guess what? - new happy things will also occur in the future even if you lost a leg or two. I'm a living example!
I really hope this video will help many of you out there because this is one of the topics where I get most the questions.

Hi, this is a great video. I'm not an amputee, but I lost my hearing very suddenly about 6 months ago. I went from full hearing to profoundly deaf in a week, which has been quite difficult for me.
It's really true that time makes such a difference. And it's really important to make sure that people understand that you're still a normal person, especially being deaf a lot of people just don't know how to even try to speak to me.
Thank you for making such an excellent video. It's really helpful for people with all sorts of disabilities, not just amputees.
    Nelle xx

Thank you Chris for your wisdom! You gave me an idea of how to help my friend.
My friend just lost a part of his foot (and may end up losing more). I wasn't sure what to say, but I hung out for a bit while he's in the hospital. I suppose, even if he ends up losing more, we'll just find a way to adjust.
I remember reading how it's very painful to adjust to being blind, but it's not very painful to those who were blind from birth. It's the big change that's painful.....I guess once one gets used to it, that's when you start living again.
My friend's lost piece of foot frails in comparison to someone who lost 3 limbs, but it's very humbling to hear a positive outlook from someone who has endured that kind of pain. Thank you!

    Dear Christoffer!
You have no IDEA, how GRATEFUL 🌹 I am, for giving this mental support.
After years of battling and struglling with my numb, sick leg, I really look forward to the surgery which will take place hopefully next February. (Depending on my health status and the Covid Situation after Winter)
It is just (!) one leg, so I cannot cope with you.
But I'm quite scared, how to do daily chores alone.
There is no family left for me anymore. Very few real friends. So, as there is no one I have to figure out daily life by myself.
But your video gave me COURAGE!
    THANK YOU SOO MUCH!!!

My leg amputation (definitely high above the knee!) cannot happen before the COVID Situation calms down in Germany.
Because I am not "a Person in need".
Wich means, my numb and sick leg is not life threatening.
Thank you very much for the links of amputee people's organisations!!! 🙏🙏🙏
I already made a contact 2 years ago to the German Amputee Organisation (BVAB...?) , they take their time...🙄
      I have so many questions!
And I am ashamed to ask you, who is in a much worse situation!
You lost both legs and your arm!
So I feel ridicoulous about this leg.

This video was informative and there were a lot of positive points made. The part of the grief after the amputation was the nail in the head for me, it was unimaginable. I could only compare it to like Christopher, with the loss of my mother. Though she passed away many years ago there is no pain like,e loosing a parent or child. Thankyou again for posting this and touching on this subject.

Hello Christoffer. I just came across your channel today (came up as a recommendation). You are quite an inspiration, young man! I'm twice your age and will undergo an above the knee amputation with osseointegration in about 2 months as a result of multiple failed total knee replacements. I'm not depressed about the impending limb loss because I see it as a way to eventually escape the chronic excruciating pain I deal with on a daily basis and a way to reclaim some bit of my life. My problem is that my friends seem to be having a tougher time dealing with the situation than I am! They don't understand my optimism and seem to want me to feel sad along with them. Thanks for sharing how you dealt with your friends and your efforts to prove to them that you are still the same person that you were pre-amputation(s). Your sharing has really helped me. Wishing you continued success.
