So I'm still learning the lingo and all, but why are the front wheels set do far outside of the rest ones? To make room for a larger motor?
Perfect question and not one asked often. This offset allows all four tires to get a bit of fresh dirt. With these DOT tires it may mean only 4 to 5 inches of fresh dirt on the rear tires. But on the National 4x4 class it could mean up to 15-20 inches of fresh dirt for the rear tires. Also the further the front tires are the further the dirt it picks up gets thrown at the rear tires.
