Just start with illustrator and this video helped me a lot,so thank you!!! But i have a question, how did you add the color palette on the side?
Once again thank you for your help
they're just rectangles with fill color. First you need to find a color scheme you like (adobe colors, coolors.co, etc.), bring the color palette to Illustrator then sampling the color one by one using eyedropper tool.
Easy to understand! btw what is the function of the shape builder tool? is it similar to pathfinder?
I'm also curious to know
Thank you so much for this tutorial! But I would like to know, if it's possible, the color's code you used in this video :) (especially for water)

@@nobudesign wow, Thank you so much again for your fast reply! Have a nice day ^^
How to easily bend the line with direct selection tool?
How do you get the colors on the artboard? Great tutorial!
I just applied the colors scheme fromt to the small rectangles
Hi! Are you recording with OBS Studio? If so can you tell me how popups are visible while recording? I can't seem to make it visible in my tutorials.
No, I use camtasia 9 to record my screen.
please how did he/she put the swatches in the corner?
Hello! Can anyone help me please?! when i arrange my shapes, the very first shape when i send it to the back is disappearing. What I am doing wrong? Great tutorial!
maybe you have any objects behind it. A kind of Background Object like rectangle.
@@nobudesign same here but I don’t have a rectangle and the big shape cover everything
How do you get that color swatch setup on the side of the art board space?
^^
thanks for sharing. it is a very tutorial for ai beginner, but I think it's missing a step after the "shape building", which is to use "pathfinder" to "divide" the route, otherwise cannot achieve the shadow effect.
I dont think so, all objects will turn to single object after use shape builder tool. If you want to use pathfinder(divide), no need to use shape builder, it will produce the same result
@@nobudesign thanks, i think i didnot do it right the first time. Now I get it.
Nobu Design, your art work is really cool, i like this style so much, would you mind if i drawing like this
Thank you, yes you can make artwork like this, I dont mind 😁
so i was able to follow the tutorial till the background making decided to draw my own jellyfish instead of using the template provided was able to successfully draw one however the drop shadows i applied using your settings didn't look right and were far different from what yours looked in the video and idea why?
I'm not sure, I think you're not use the same unit, I'm use point (pt) in the video.
Just play with x and y offset with small value until you get it right.
okay the setting you provided for the jellyfish turned out wrong in my case had to adjust it accordingly to make the shadows look right but still a great tutorial :)
like great work but i didn't get the point if you will not make the main object which is the jellyfish it self
Can you please tell me the hex codes of the colours used? I am loving the colours!

Just one detail is missing - the highlight and the shadow on the edges of the cut. This makes it much more realistic.
I have a doubt...my blur isn't working on the 1st 2 shapes...it only worked on the 3rd shape
