Something I noticed right away, that wasn't mentioned in the decktech, is that you can brainstorm the dreadnought or Uro to the top before casting cloak. Hoping that comes up in the matches, this deck looks sweet!
I would be lying if I said that knowing you'd play Stoneforge alongside the Coat didn't factor into my decision to donate for this. Also this video coincidentally released on my birthday, so a pretty great birthday present to myself haha
Made a deck just like this last week, I prefer the name DREADCOAT. I also run 1 Brazen Borrower instead of lorien and 2x Uros Did really well with it last week at locals with face down coat beats and the occasional surprise from under the cloak Thanks for showcasing it! So much fun!
Helpful reminder for new players and cloak: A nontoken is a card that's sleeved and shuffled in a deck. A token is made of different card stock and never shuffled in a deck.
Not to mention stuff like slip out the back, but i was even just referring to Karlov Manor, where dreadnought got 5 valid enablers. Dreadnought really isnt missing enablers anymore.@@tylergoerlich9494
Cards that I love making waves in eternal formats: weird cards that give tier 2 decks a new angle of attack (cryptic coat) Cards that I don’t love making waves in eternal formats: cards that make the best decks better (Orcish bowmasters)
So, I think the concede g2 against nic fit was a little premature. You have dress down in hand, plus 8 mana. Topdecked nought is a dead ugin plus an indestructible trampling 17/17
Would be sweet with top of the library effects like Academy Ruins for unlimited Dreadnaughts or Volrath's Stronghold. Or you could go all in on top effects and run Counterbalance.
@@NightBader Because of the relationship between your life total and Shadow's power and toughness, the amount of damage it absorbs will always be equal to your life total minus 1. At 2 life, Shadow will be an 11/11 and absorb 11 damage from the 12/12 Dreadnought - result, 1 life. At 10, Shadow would be a 3/3 - Dreadnought tramples over for 9.
Came here to flag this because Brian said a flipped dreadnought becomes 13/12 unblockable with WARD 2 and Uro a 7/6 unblockable with WARD 2... that shocked me cause it would be busted 😮😅
@@gkakgraubgyou I'd be up for seeing Professor Onyx in Legacy, but realistically I don't think that's happening outside some Arena Rector shenanigans.
33:35 You could have put Uro on top with a land second - then you could play Uro, draw and play the land, and have one mana available to Plough Murktide.
1:18 hey wait a minute, this doesn’t look like TPS at all! (I love both Stiflenought and Stoneblade, and Cryptic Coat’s probably my favorite card from MKM so I’m excited to see how this list fares!)
I keep forgetting that Cryptic Coak doesn't fall off of face up creatures. Cause of there being no equip ability, I keep thinking that it also has like 'Can only be equip to facedown creatures' or something on it.
Still seems like he's not used to the unblockable part on coat, thinking bowmasters would trade it in combat. But nice to see we've reached the point he is actually killing people with ponder.
Does the flipped creature with the cloak retain the ward 2? When are you allowed to flip a creature? Before attacks, during attacks, Before damage is dealt?
You lose the Ward when you flip the card, you probably figure that out real quick in the video, but commenting boosts engagement so here I am blurting out my thoughts.

Its really awesome to get one of these challanges where the special card(s) dont get immediately sideboarded in game 2 and 3.

I really love how many ways there are to sneak out the dreadnaught in modern magic.

Nic fit in the 3-0 bracket is nuts
This is the first league I've seen where Stalactite Stalker has been more than a more than a Savannah-Lions-with-marginal-upside.

Wake up babe new stiflenaught tech just dropped
Undercover 12/12s comin through!!!!!! Dreadnought has gotten so much support recently, I will never get to leave the lab xDD
Glad I own my playset for sure. Saga, dress down, and now coat.
If you are going for saga, try out "Ransom Note", also a hot new addition to the dreadnought support@@LucksackGames

Deaths shadow leads to some funny interactions. A shadow blocking a dreadnaught always leaves you at 1 hp
Why?

I'm sure this will come up during the league, but if you flip up Dreadnought / Uro it no longer has Ward 2. #engagement
I love these dreadnought decks. If I ever save enough money for duals, I'm building some variation of this
Important clarification: the Ward {2} only applies while the creature is face-down, the creature won't have it when turned face-up

have you ever tried Ctrl+z after sorting ponder cards but before resolving the spell? I've seen EI choices be undone like that before
Yes, it doesn't work.

I'm really curious about how Cloak could pair in a Yorion Miracles build. Might be too much sauce but it sounds like it would be fun LOL

No it doesn’t, and you can flip any time you could cast an instant. Before attacks, after blocks, whenever you want

Hear me out. This list as the business justification to make Sensei's Divining Top restricted to 1 instead of fully banned
You need more reps with this deck. I think you missed more than one opportunity to set up cloak.
Those Surgicals in G2 were awful. Guys, don't play this card against anything other than decks that win with the graveyard. It rarely pays off.
First? I should play the lottery
This is a seriously cool deck. Enough cheese to pull cute tricks but not so much that the gameplan can collapse.
