I feel sorry for the SCV. I mean, "We're going to drop you alone, on a desolate Zerg-filled planet with this big wonky antenna-looking thing. You're gonna heedlessly approach these genocidal monsters who could easily tear you apart in seconds.... and make friends".
Vrabo Lowko was actually referring to the enemy Terrans when he asked "Where's the Terran?" I think. It would make sense, considering his earlier comments about how empty the map was
Well yeah, the two Kerrigans are evidently completely different characters. This one is probably almost grateful to Mengsk for having a hand in her eventual infestation.
Kerrigan playing politics... She friend with her enemies. To achieve her goal. She killed Fenix first... When she now control all the zerg.. she bring her wrath
@@Leonhart_93 No she absolutely cared. She made it quite clear that she hated him a lot during True Colors. SC1 was just written better, so this wasn't the sole thing she talked about.

Mission 3 has a bonus objective that affects the one after. If you go back to the menu and select Mission 4 from there you'll lose the bonus. I recommend starting Mission 4 straight from the victory screen and just saving when gameplay begins.
It doesn't matter that much because you start mission 4 with a ton of resources next to a bunch of poorly defended command centers, so you can easily infest a few if you didn't start the mission with them.
Yeah, but knowing Lowko he'll want to reap the benefits of his personal efforts. There's something really nice about getting all those buildings and having them waiting for you at the beginning of the next mission. The utility of them isn't the point.
Lowko. Little Warning. If you want to play the Bonus Mission in a different session, save at the end of the previous mission. The Bonus Mission will *not* be unlocked for the mission selection screen.
Yep. Same as if you want to keep the buildings you earn during Mission 3. If you want you can restart the mission at the beginning of your video but don't open Mission 4 or the secret mission from the home screen menu.
I suppose Raynor helps because he believes the UED might be worse than the Dominion, and the UED-controlled Overmind worse than Kerrigan leading the Swarm. Of course, we never see the UED doing anything worse than anything the local Terrans do, so they seem the best choice for the Korprulu sector, and a sedated Overmind is much more passive than the scheming Queen of Blades. It's really just gambling on the lesser evil.
cdcdrr At this point, the UED has killed more than a few Protoss, which would definitely piss off the Raynor/Fenix duo. So far, Kerrigan hasn't done anything wrong (that they know of), and is only just coming to her terms with her Independence
My understanding is that the whole Korprulu Sector was a penal colony and there're still rivers of bad blood over it. Not started out as a penal colony like Australia. Was never anything other than a penal colony.
The UED is a xenophobic totalitarian dictature. And their PR department isn't working on their image. Their first repsonse to the Zerg and Protoss was to either eradicate or subjugate them. While Mangs is an egocentric megalomaniac, he doesn't have these kind of plans.Choosing Mangsk over the UED is choosing the lesser evil.
VoidMare You share your beliefs with most all Terrans at this point in the game. But Raynor has seen it from all sides. Tassadar and Fenix have fought beside him to save human lives, Zeratul has gone through Hell and back to save him. He also loved Sarah, and believes at this time that she's been brainwashed (she has, via Amon), and that there's still hope for her.
This was delightful to watch. That swarm at 17:41 made me smile remembering playing this mission exactly the same way years ago. Usually while listening to Radio Free Zerg.
4:00 At this time Raynor is pretty much working for the protoss by defending aiur with fenix and protoss helped mengsk escape too so my guess is it's just that the UED is so strong that everyone team up to take them down
this was probably one of my favourite missions back in the day simply because you can collect all these empowered units. especially being able to use the torrasque felt really cool :D
Has anyone noticed that when ever he is talking about a specific character the"herself" or "himself" to add depth? He does it in the first 20 seconds of the video
Same thing happened to me the first time I played the mission, using both drones and getting game over. Took me three tries to figure that one out. Mixed unit combat is always more entertaining to watch then a single spammed unit, having said that, nice Muta swarm. ;)
The Cerebrate from Episode 2 is actually a different entity from the Cerebrate in Brood War. The first Cerebrate was killed by Tassadar while Kerrigan was preoccupied.
Actually you can finish the mission with only your heroic units, find them all, regen their HP and let Torresque tank everything, this mission takes 5 mins tops.
Hey Lowko the Red Ones Are Hero Units they have tech upgrades for free and they don't cost control. Also when you gain your last zerg unit it trigger the 2nd part of the mission where you will start to get attacked.
The biggest thing from Day9 about this is that "more" is better than "better" when it comes to units. Even weak units win if you have more of them, moreso than in SC2. So even though Mutalisks are weak to towers, when you get a critical mass of them, they still win.
It can be hard to remember everything going on. Fenix and Raynor were basically fighting a never ending war with zerg cerebrates on Aiur (fighting against Daggoth/the new Overmind). At any rate, they were struggling with limitted forces. Kerrigan basically offered them aid, and told them how the combined forces of Daggoth and the UED would be even worse. Raynor probably feels the UED is the bigger threat, bigger than the Confederacy and Mengsk's Dominion (it is). No one knows what kind of threat Kerrigan might be even if she wins. Maybe Kerrigan will be easier for Raynor to reason with in the future? From Raynor's perspective he'd rather deal with Kerrigan than the UED or the Overmind or both.
A friend of mine used to refer to a group like that sa a cloud of mutas. Pretty sure a group of any kind of zerg is either a swarm, pack, or brood. Maybe all of one strain in one brood could be a brooding? Maybe that's too straightforward.
You have your swarm of bees, school of fish, parliament of owls, pride of lions, pack of wolves, thunder of dragons, and gaggle of geese. Mutalisks? Given the hive mind, perhaps a swarm?
May be a couple years late, but I find it funny that even on his first playthrough, and is a way better player, we had the same strat for this mission. Granted, I just went mass muta because "hey, new unit!"

Curious that they changed it to be a bit lighter in the Zerg campaign, which you could argue is the darkest of them all.
The SC Campaign is sooo good... Guess i'll buy the remastered. Although i got the sc2 mod for the Campaign and they made a marvelous job, the original is the best.

A stack of mutalisks seems appropriate, because that's how you usually micro them against marines or turrets.
Before even watching this, I'm sure he'll lose by spending all of his Drones.
17:00 How about a "Rain of Fire"?
A flink is a group of more than 12 cows. Considering how BW hotkeys work, this may be unusually appropriate.
Maybe that's the name for mass ultras?
A lot of mutas is called a gaggle, as coined by Nathanias and Incontrol. So you had a gaggle of mutas.

The proper term for alot of mutalisks is a gaggle
Finally, I have longed for a stupid amount of Mutas, thx!!!
lol the psi disrupter was sooo huge in that one mission but here its the size of a barracks
A swarm of mutalisk
Btw are you gonna Do all the starcraft 2 campaign?
Also, maxing out on Mutalisks is really really fun until you lose all of them to 3 psi storms :(

A collection of all zergs is called a swarm. A collection of specific zerg deserves their own name.
Like, a collection of zerglings is called a rush
How long til Lowko figures 3/3 upgrades 200/200 supply anything works?
is that SC Remastered can block the units more than twelve?
That Marine hiding in the Christmas tree lol
This murder of mutalisks could use a group of guardians or two! Slow, but so satisfying...

What about a 'stack' of mutalisks? Since mutalisk stacking was a thing in BW.
I tried this the other day. You can finish the mission using only the empowered unit
Lot of crows are called a murder of crows... so I guess a murder of mutalisks sounds about right.
