Hi Brent, another great video! Ha, that flourish at the beginning was EXACTLY the one I was wondering about from your previous tips and tricks video! I've heard it from other artists, like Mary Youngblood, but hadn't quite figured out how to duplicate it; thanks! That's a pretty nice setup you've got. I recently purchased a small reverb amplifier from Blue Bear flutes, and it just adds so much! Would love to work more towards what you've got going on there. That drum was really cool! I come from a drumming background, and the NAF has been a great springboard for me to really get into the heart and soul of the MUSIC. Like yourself, I've always loved music, but personally, never really found a way of expressing the music inside of me until discovering the NAF. Sure, I played around with keyboards a bit, but that was about it. I tell you, I marvel at this instrument, and feel myself waving poetic about it, wondering, what is this marvelous thing that I have found?? (Hearing Geddy Lee as I ask this! LOL). Anyway, enough of my life story. I just wanted to, once again, say thanks for another very well done video.
Thank you so much Michael. Your comments help me a lot...... I too really enjoy RUSH. Interesting..... I'm glad this helped you with how that embellishment is done, that is such good news to me. Thanks again, my friend. Flute On!
You are very welcome! Thank You for watching and for your comments. Was this what you may have been thinking about in regards to "Creating a Song"? Did it help you?
@@BrentAdams That was great!!!........Brent, I was thinking about differents scales we find the NAF. Native american flutes tuned in cromatic , pentatonic, diatonic scales .......are they compatibles? Differences , pros and cons, etc. Maybe it could be a nice subject. Thanks again.
@@olvimend I will think about that topic, but I'll warn you now...... I only own one Native American Style flute that is not tuned to the mode1/mode 4 6 hole pentatonic minor scale.
