If everyone knew the truth about the universe and what we are, they would understand that these types of fusions and hybrids and “collabs” are EXACTLY what must happen to further evolution. The reunification process is well underway, the one soul is beginning to recombine. It’s having thoughts of combining 2 extremes of music through you. Do t think about it, DO IT. Make the collaboration that can bridge cultural gaps, music is the sound of harmony (God) and through it we can learn to love each other again
Such a lovely listening experience. Something in these tones really brought on a relaxing release..weight from my shoulder's lifted type of experience. Can imagine a santoor + hang drum duo would be amazing. Thankful to have discovered this new(to me) ancient instrument!

In my 30+ years of travel in south east Asia I met the most amazing travelling musicians....but those who moved my soul to incredible heights were young Iranian and Turkish ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It's great to see you making this ancient instrument 'visible' and audible here. I played a 42 string hammered dulcimer, made by Roger Frood, in Somerset, England for years in the 1980s and 90s and travelled and busked with it across the UK, France, Spain and Ireland. I also played Indian santoor, 60 strings, sat in on sitar classes to begin to learn ragas and styles. However l only met 2 hammered dulcimer players in Ireland, one was an English guy who was living in Ireland. Also Andy Dowling who was about 90 when l met him, he lived in the bog lands of county Tipperary in the cottage he was born in. He bought his first dulcimer in a junk shop in Dublin aged 60 and as he was already a fiddle player he taught himself the dulcimer. So l have no idea why you think there is such a thing as an Irish dulcimer. People can mistake it for the Appalachian dulcimer which is not a tuned percussion instrument and has only 4 strings. Last century in the UK there was a dulcimer club and we would get together and play in large groups, both dulcimers, which sounded well together. As l understand it the first santoor type instrument was Assyrian, 4,000 bce. It travelled on the silk trade route east to china and west into Europe. It was and is again the lead instrument in a classical Chinese orchestra, it was of course banned by the Mao regime. Somewhere on the road l met an Australian woman who managed to study the Chinese dulcimer, yang ching (l may have spelt that wrong!) Part of her training was to play it upside down so the strings can't be seen! I could go on endlessly about this daunting instrument! I think it has an archetypal sound that resonates with deep ancient memory, in the northern hemisphere, l have not come across a similar instrument from the southern hemisphere. I felt it changed the mood of people on the streets and street markets wherever l went. It really is best played outdoors, l would practice in woodlands and birds would start singing.
Ye, 72 strings, that equals tuning 12 guitars in a row! haha! Honestly, the tuning is probably the biggest reason why not many people play this instrument. It's almost like an art itself :)
What magical playing! I feel like I am floating on the most delicious carpet resting and relaxing in ways I have never been able to feel before. Namaste 🌀🙏🏼

Thank you brother for this valuable work and your very high understanding of art. You deserve the best respect.❤🌱
Thank you so much, for your kind words of appreciation and encouragement. I highly value them. And I feel honoured you appreciate my music as an Iranian :) Thank you!
In my 30+ years of travel in south east Asia I met the most amazing travelling musicians....but those who moved my soul to incredible heights were young Iranian and Turkish ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yes, thank you, I can feel it
I love this sound❤
Thank you for sharing this with us, it's fascinating to hear about your bond with the music and instrument. Bless you and all the best
What is tuning this like?? I can barely handle my guitar lol
Ye, 72 strings, that equals tuning 12 guitars in a row! haha!
Honestly, the tuning is probably the biggest reason why not many people play this instrument. It's almost like an art itself :)
love your story. thanks for sharing
What magical playing! I feel like I am floating on the most delicious carpet resting and relaxing in ways I have never been able to feel before. Namaste 🌀🙏🏼
