Trust me I almost shed a tear when Dom grabbed Marcus with Mad World playing in the background. My inner 17 year old self from 2006 was screaming inside. 😭
I realized that we’re going to have to watch Dom lose his kids in this game and I’m not ready. At all.

Despite what you saw in Gears Judgement the Chainsaw lancer wasn't designed until over a year after the war began. Also the song is Mad World
Yeah, I should have remembered the Lancer wasn't really there until during 1 since this is a prequel. It just get confusing since the bayonet one didn't even come out until later Gears 😭
@@KillshotKittyReactsBecause it was phased out real quick as it wasn't doing well against the Locust who rushed for CQC even when alone.
In the books it usually takes 3 guys with Lancers Mk II shooting at a single Locust Drone to stop him from charging or to drop him just as fast as a single Drone drops any Gear with a single Hammerburst shot/burst.
@@KillshotKittyReacts Yeah. The idea actually came from Tai, when he saved Marcus from a drone by grabbing a chainsaw and hacking its back apart. The book states he stood there covered in blood, a chunk of drone still on the Chainsaw, and with a smile on his face.

@@KillshotKittyReacts you think thats a lot? Halo has so much lore that nobody has been able to chronologically catalogue everything yet, theres a guy on Halopedia whos spent like a decade trying to do it, and he's not done

I had that door not opening bug also. i restarted the game at the last checkpoint and it fixed it.

As someone who despised all the characters, I played five as jack, best time I’ve had in four and five because I got to just play as the knock off locust after mind controlling them

Someone pointed out to me, just how scary the emergence hole was, the could just plunder your home and or the ground you stepped on, and you wouldn't even know it was coming. 😮 I played most gears of war games, I like that this trailer puts it into perspective the devastating power of the locusts on Sera, and the frightening strength of the locust fighting Marcus like that.
Dom's story... rough. There aren't many characters that their stories hit hard on me, but Dom. That made me shed tears. Even Sgt. Johnson from Halo 3 didn't do that to me.

Halo 3 got me a bit but nowhere near as hard as Dom, that one hit the feels HARD 🥲
Gears of War is my fav franchise for the XBOX and I too haven't beaten Gears 5, because i don't have the new XBOXs, I'm stoked for a prequel game and may buy an Xbox to play it. Tears for Fears did the original Mad World, but I think Gears uses the Donnie Darko version.
Gears is such an amazing game series! I hope you’re able to get an Xbox to play!
My take was a bit different.
I'm a Gears veteran too, you could say. I own every game, and my tradition is to conquer the campaign before diving into other modes. Without spoiling Gears 5's ending, let's just say I'm itching to see what's next.
Now, picture my frustration after processing this reveal. Because they've decided to sneak E-Day in ahead of Gears 6, we are potentially facing a decade-long gap between the releases of Gears 5 and 6! Five-year dev cycles are standard these days, so unless there's a secret Gears 6 team working overtime (unlikely, from a business perspective), fans hungry for the main story just got the middle finger. And all for what? A prequel?
There were plenty of ways to release E-Day that wouldn't stall the campaign for a decade. One example: Imagine if instead, E-Day had been a massive Gears 5 DLC showcasing the upgraded visuals and mechanics, and ending with a smooth transition into a short Gears 6 gameplay tease.
THAT would have been epic!

Only game I never beaten from gears of war was the last because my game got corrupted at the last part. So I played the whole game again and guess what, corrupted again at the same exact spot 🙄.
