@@Crown_678An era of marching and playing, creative drill, and run-and-gun mentality. An era without scatter-drill flutter-step-to-your-next-dot, shotgun mics amplifying the whole hornline, individual mics on all the strongest players and soloists as a crutch, massive props restricting drill, TikTok type brainrot arrangements with 14 pieces in a ten minute show. An era where visual didn't just mean planting yourself on one dot or a prop for half the show, shaking that áss looking like some interpretative dance major.
If you could only describe what drum corps is with one video, I think this would have to be it. People running around a field in perfectly predetermined routes, with certain and uniform body, leg and foot techniques; all the while creating power and emotion through raw musicianship, all after a full day's hot sweaty rehearsal. And to do this day after day. This is no marching band.
My favorite part about this video is that at any moment a member you’re watching could just take off running to their next set. You really don’t notice how fast they’re going until you’re down there with them
Depresses me this era of DCI is long gone.
What era?

@@blueshort1011well said. Could not agree more
I love coming back to this video just to watch neon-green mello guy. Dude's an insane marcher.
Rule 1: STRAIGHT LEGS!
(unless you march somewhere that doesn't do that)
Good ole Kyle

I loved hearing Matt Harloff in the background, "Make history!!"
M Colby Well they did indeed make history with one of the most bad ass shows ever
thank you for this Bob Chreste #thefrontofthenoteislouderthenotestouchandtheresaslightdecay

Mellos at 1:53 I just want to run around my house yelling "WHAAAAT!?!?" So good
Took me a few seconds to figure out the guard wasn't just doing weird interpretative dancing.
They fact that this show got 2nd place was insane! Crown could have easily won 4 in 2010s
2012, 2013, and 2015. What's the 4th one?

Good God. Insane.
The video isn’t working anymore? :’(
:(
it is back
why does this look like slow motion
You could really tell how bad this group wanted it.
