I love the design/ manufacturing quality progression of these micro drifters in the last few years, from sloppy toys to real machines. Thank you for keeping us up to date😎 And just a clarification: 1:12 The moral of a story is the lesson that story teaches about how to behave in the world. Moral comes from the Latin word mores, for habits. The moral of a story is supposed to teach you how to be a better person. If moral is used as an adjective, it means good, or ethical. ❤️
Hey Canyon, I agree these tiny chassis have come a LONG way in a short period of time but there is still more innovation on the horizon. I know of a couple projects in the works & 2022 should be a crazy year for this scale 😸 To clarify at 1:11 I edited out a couple minutes of me talking about my experience reaching out to Drift Art. If you look close you can see the cut/skip right at 1:11 to 1:12. I tried to cut “the moral of the story” part out but it sounded too jarring for the transition so I left it in. I should have said “point is” but originally there was a story so that’s how we got here. The video was over 15min & I cut a bunch of my rambling out 😹
The Drift Art chassis design is nuts, I didn't expect it to be as sturdy & robust as it is. Due to all the linkages I thought it would be delicate but they actually act as multiple securement points & keeps the steering knuckle rock solid despite the upper & lower arms needing to be shimmed still. Truly I'm blown away with the DA & I cant wait to spend more time with her, this might be the chassis that dethrones the TRC... We will see with future iterations, I especially want to see them work on rear active toe & helical gears. Price be damned, take my money Drift Art!!!!
Really appreciate the vids you and many others are putting out. Got my DWS and diffs upgraded yesterday and my MR020 drifts like a champ! Finding an aluminum -1 toe bar for narrow body is a pain in the ass right now but I was able to find some eagle racing ones on ebay.
Fr though having both chasis, the drift art 2.5 performs better than a drzv2 stock bc of that amazing angle. But when running a monoshock they run pretty similar. Drzv2 though looks so good, the gold accents is such a flex.
Meh... I'll argue with you on that on. The DRZv2 can have very similar steering angle as the Art by simply shaving the brass knuckles so the trailing linkage does not get hung up, switching to a curved ball cap (like the Art has), or you can bend the steering linkage to play with the acreman levels. Also, you are comparing the upgraded version of the Drift Art to a stock DRZ, the 2.5 Summer Edition had all option parts available at the time. the 2.0CC edition would be the fairer comparison. That said, I agree with you. the Art is overall a better chassis, has a much better suspension system & I don't even need to mention the DVF steering system. The Drift Art simply out classes everything on the market in terms of performance, however, the DRZv2 looks sooooooooooo much better full loaded. (Not sure if I have sown my full option DRZv2 on the channel but MAN it blings).
So pretty....want... its got a frigging FLYWHEEL! God... amazing. Ive got a set of those type of tweezers, theyre epic. This whole build seems just amazing and I want one. O.o
This chassis is nuts, I didn't realize how special it was when I ordered it, but now I'm actually looking at it HOLY CRAP! I cant believe I was sleeping on this chassis for so long... Cant wait to get it fully assembled & driving 😸
Drift art 2.5 is by far the best but they are sold out world wide right now, you may get lucky & find one in stock but it’s hard to find right now. My second choice would be the DRZ V2 then the BMR-X & last is the GL-D. GL-R is a racing chassis, you want the GL-D for drifting.
@@BMR3 so hard to buy this stuff it’s upsetting. Should I just buy the drift art 2.5 classic edition from RC SUPREMACY? I got a wl toys and made it rwd and did all that good stuff but I want something better that’s not $500. I have all electronics.
Just wait till you drive the thing..........for me blows others out the water...but thats just personal preference ...all versions blow that dust on everything out there currently........#DUSTY
What's up Linus, you know I cant wait to drive her! From everything I'm seeing on FB these tiny machines seem incredible, & I couldn't agree more that these blows all other offerings out of the water. I used to be a Stan for DRZ's but this DA might just change things up for me. If the Drift Art had active rear toe it would be giving the TRC a hard run for for the first place spot!🏆

The first time I heard about the tilted servo it sounded like a simple concept but it turns out to be really effective from what I can see.

This looks sick! Wish I discovered it before buying a Mini Z Ma-020 awd drift car.
Insane build! Enjoy Bro !!!
Thank you brother & I will! I'm blown away with this chassis so far & I'm thinking its going to quickly become my favorite & dethrone the DRZv2 😸
@@BMR3 Have fun with it, make cool videos about it!!!! Total support from France.
@@matthvids you are my my drift brotha from a French motha 😉
Is the width of this DA 2.5 chassis an issue of fitting some of the narrower body? When you put it side by side with a drz chassis, it looks wider.
No mine is the same track width as the DRZ & I have seen some people running the Drift Art with narrow mini-z bodies & 0 offset rims
Look up “Mini Rc Drifter Han” on TH-cam
@@BMR3 ok thanks.

Do we absolutely need that servo? Or will any micro servo work?
It dosent have to be this specific servo, just the same size. The shell for this servo was specially designed for the Drift Art but others will work.
It's more wonderful on the track. You'll never be disappointed 😃
I can tell already even though I haven't had a chance to drive her 😻 I think I'm in love
driftart 2.5 , atomic DRZ2, GLR, BMR-X . I'm confuse with these 4 brands . What is the best? . I Can't deceide to buy it.

@@thanadechboonsittipon5570 anytime brother I’m happy to help! Get your self a Drift Art while they are still in stock, you will love it.
is this chassis available right now?
cant wait to see your updates on this chassis, I think i want one now!
Yep you can get them from multiple distributors. Should have an update video out soon! Hopefully this weekend but we will see
how thick are the DriftArt2 Break Disks ? i want to know so i can choose my wheel offsets
They fit inside the rim, no need to adjust offset from that i have heard (dont use them myself).
What are the general differances between the art 2.5 and the art 2?
Metal rear Diff housing & the upgraded DVF steering system. I think there are a few other minor differences but the DVF is the big ticket item.
@@BMR3 Alright, thanks for clearing things up for me. But i wonder why the chassis seems to have no caster, or is that just my eyes decieving me?
It has caster adjustment, the top linkage on the knuckle can adjust caster.
@@BMR3 Ah, sounds good. Thanks alot!
@@ae-tp1ue happy to help brother! Good luck on your build
Sooooo whats the servo?
The AFG RC one specifically built for the Drift Art, it comes with markings on the case to adjust the servo position.

Hi BMR, can you fit any body chassis size on this drift art?
Yes pretty much, the drift art has by far the highest degree of adjustability.

I have some business I would like to propose with you BMR, some simple stuff. How would I be able to get in touch to ask you?

its the YOKOMO of micro scale....
Are Yokomo really that nice? Id think associated or maybe xray would be higher up on the totem pole wouldnt they?
Its the chassis that will dethrone the TRC if Drift Art ever address the rear end with helical gears & active toe 😼
