I absolutely love the GameBoy. THe pick up and play style is perfect for me. And the homebrew scene is fun and interesting!

I love the fact that it has real buttons and the technical limitations of the Game Boy sort of forces the game developers to be creative and in doing so all the games have sort of a unique feel. It was also a global hit and there's actually thousands of of games that we didn't get in the US so it's exciting to learn about them.

Well the Game Boy was on the market for 9 years before the Game Boy Color came out and they kept making games at work compatible with the original Gameboy even after the Game Boy Color came out. So there is a phenomenal amount of Game Boy games out there. Also a ton of Game Boy games that we released in other regions. Well I hope you enjoyed the video and let me know what you get as far as Game Boy games go

Also, 'Final Fantasy Adventure' came out in Europe under a different name, 'Mystic Quest' (with the game itself being identical). 'Tis my favorite 1st gen GameBoy game.

What is crazy is Final Fantasy Mystic Quest for Super Nintendo in North America is a completely different game. I am OK with there being different names between the US and the West but different names between Europe and NA is just confusing. The regional NA/EU names differences between the Ganbare Geomon/Mystical Ninja games for N64 are confounding.

I just picked up From Below Pocket Digital version for my Epilogue GB Operator and Geek Tech Batterless Save Cartridge. I plan on picking up Dragonyhm, Zephyr's Pass and Kudzu next as soon as they come out.

I love it when you can buy digital versions of new games. I am totally fine with paying for digital versions of new games I can play on my everdrives and emulators.

I've recently got into the Gameboy line up games and I gotta say your Gameboy starter guide video certainly helped a lot! Looking forward for the Gameboy Color video as well! Since I'm interested in the GBC line up but dont exactly know where to start in terms of the game line ups 😅

I think the Gameboy Color is right at a sweet spot where a lot of retro gaming collectors aren't paying a lot of attention to it, but there are a lot of great games for it with the exception of the big Nintendo games most other Gameboy color are still mostly very affordable.

Well Dragon Warrior 1 and 2 made my list and Legend of the River King was a runner's up.

Tetris is ok but I never liked it as much as my parents did. I always preferred Dr. Mario or Wario's Woods. I think a big factor is I like to understand what my character's goal is in games and why we are doing whatever we are in the game. Tetris leaves you no idea why we are trying to stop the blocks from building up. unless you reach the ending cutscene and even then I honestly still don't get how what we are doing leads to the ending.
I'm surprised no Mega Man games made the cut, and I would personally put both the second Saga/Final Fantasy Legend game and the second Gameboy Castlevania on the list over the first games in the series. I would probably include the third Saga/Final Fantasy Legend game as well because its gameplay is very different then the first two games.

I'd like to give the Mega Man Game boy games their own video. Especially now that I have the complete Japanese version and they just added them to the Nintendo switch online collection. I have the game boy version of Dr Mario but I always preferred it on the NES due to the color matching. I don't know I'll give it another try on the Gameboy.
There are so many things RPGs but I don't have time for because I'm too busy making TH-cam videos. It's ironic
