Jingles I think the reason why Lemming Train isn't used as often in FPS games anymore is simply because the map designs of the majority of shooters for the past 10 years didn't really have a large enough map for this to matter as you only had maybe three ways of getting at the enemy. In addition these same shooters rely on cover-based game play where in many cases the only option is to pile on the bodies to break the stalemate. With WoWs and WoT the maps are often more dynamic, offering you more flexibility in your attack options. More importantly, there is no re-spawn in these games. So the instinct of self preservation is a lot stronger, leading to people waiting for someone else to go first. In FPS games you usually have a re-spawn system which allows you the luxury of standing the victor atop the mountain of bodies. So in the realm of the shooter a Lemming Train has sort of become the standard. WoT and WoWs for the most part do not have re-spawns so many players tend to stay back until they feel it's safe since they know once they're dead, that's it.
@Jingles : The Term "Lemming Train" may have been use in gaming starting with first person shooters. But it has been around long before that! i think I first heard it use was way back in the boy scouts in the early 60's when one of the scoutmasters told us to not bunch up single file on a mountain trail so if the trail gave way we all would not lemming train off the side of the mountain (now all of our adult leaders were WWII and/or Korean war vets and that may have something to do with its usage). As I next heard it in the 70's while in Army basic training and then again in the Infantry Officer course ('76) use to describe rushing in one at a time single file vs spreading out with 1/2 rushing in at the same time from different directions while the rest gave suppressive covering fire .

I think the ARL had the 105mm equipped and the shot into the dead tank looked like this guy had a very bad case of lag, what would also explain most of the other "stupid" behavior
Yeah his movement looks like a really bad case of lag, which means it is possible that he lost connection early on and that's why he did move till most of the team was dead.
Could be he's playing via smoke-signal Wi-Fi somewhere out in the boonies. I remember during WoWS Beta, I was playing fora while on a G4 mobile connection (had to move house etc.) and I'd have these three-four _minute_ lag-spikes when the connection had a hiccup. He's not necessarily the _worst_ player ever, but if his connection is _that_ bad, I wonder at his persistence. I was ready to eat my keyboard after the second lag-spike cost me a good match.

I remember my team mates screaming in the chat, and I was focused on replying to them instead of driving. I guess they realized, finally, that I was too wasted to finish the game and I think we all had a good laugh.
I've taken to posting at the beginning of every match: "So which side are you guys going to Lemming Train too?" That way I can camp waaaaay back and farm DMG for their spotting.
as a joke on lakeville the other day i posted at start ' so the plan is we all rush in and die uselessly ok ? ' 2 minutes later 13 people had died in the valley ,next time i'll keep my mouth shut ;)
@@johnche6876 same map I was in my STRV S1 south base. whole team except one light and a medum went valley. I watched them die needlessly. "Train" used in the gaming context originated in Everquest , where you could aggro an entire zone of mobs and they would chase you either to the zone out or they killed you , people would fight their way through a zone and if they began to lose an engagement they would run back to the safety of the zone out , Often picking up many more mobs along the way , The OOC chat call would be TRAIN TO ZONE < warning anyone sitting there that there were 100 angry aggroed mobs inc to the zone in . WOW was basically the same .
Which in turn got the name from the mass suicide myth of actual lemmings (the rodent) perpetuated by various old media; most (in)famously "White Wilderness".
Is it bad that the gorgeous environment at 0:33 makes me want to give WoT a spin? It reminds me of when I played with plastic soldiers as a kid, setting up dioramas in a sandbox... Only this time with a full-fledged game and a real purty HD sandbox.
I think I have an explanation for the ARL V39. What my guess is that an older sibling was told to watch a younger sibling, the older sibling got sick of the younger sibling and decided to sick there younger sibling on some world of tanks match for the older siblings amusement or just to keep the younger sibling out of there hair for about ten minutes. That’s the nicest explanation I have.
Jingles, a hilarious replay 🤣! After my brain cells somewhat recovered I played a couple rounds of WoT to see how many shots I could aim and miss. Hint, this easier to accomplish than advertised.
The last one reminded me of the last time I played Mechwarrior Online where I needed 300 exp to unlock a skill, a win guarantees 200, a loss something like 20, and after 10 losses in a row I still couldn't get the skill. Course I was in a light mech which is good with a team around me and dies faster than a tier 1 tank without one, also had internet problems which arise when no one else was home to use the same slow connection.
The unseen issue with lemming trains is that players who know they are bad think ANY group is a lemming train. Try saying "stick close enough to support each other" in a ranked battle, and even-odds someone will reply with something like "So starts the lemming train" while they go in the exact opposite direction and wonder why they get blurped out of existence by the entire enemy fleet (that stayed together). Also guaranteed he will blame the player that said "support each other" for starting "that damn lemming train".
Great video as usual Jingles! But the purpose of my comment is different. Shout out for visiting yesterday’s Claus’ stream and making it unforgettable for next couple of years! Hats off!

Yeah his movement looks like a really bad case of lag, which means it is possible that he lost connection early on and that's why he did move till most of the team was dead.
@@christamplen9320 Check his stats... he is 46% WR after 5k battles, 600 WN8. His actions match these stats...
@@MrMartwy doesn't mean he has stable internet, he could live somewhere with bad/unreliable internet coverage
@@MrMartwy Bad stats doesn't shield you from ping going wild, happend alot to me recently and fucked up some otherwise decent games, one reason why I say "fuck it" to this game.
“Descend further into comedy” 👌🏼 my god such a classic epic Jingles commentary
Great choice of “dramatic music” for the airborne T-34 Overlord Jingles got a lol and a like... plus a bonus weird look from a stranger for laughing out loud at my iPad 👍🏻
"bloody minded tenacity"
That is putting it VERY kindly.
after all this time watching your intros, i finally realized what i was watching: Lemmings jumping off a cliff. riot! live long and prosper, bro.
After the OI was released on console, I went to the team, in my OI on Lakeside "I am going over that ridge line in the valley and I aint stopping, whos with me?"...
Best successful lemming train ever :D
Thank you for remembering Dragon Ridge, it was an awesome map
Hello jingles , I also make videos and used a phrase you use as a title (fair fights are for suckers)...this was a monster game but what impresses me the most is the great commentary....ive learned to appreciate commentary a lot more after having to learn to commentary myself....love these replays and even more the commentary.
Been to long since I laughed at a world of tanks video. Thank you. Needed this
These are the type of videos. that make your sad week wholesome again. 😆
I had a game like that a couple of years ago, when higher than a kite on some green stuff, I sat as the only remaining tank on my team and completely forgot how to drive it. I remember my team mates screaming in the chat, and I was focused on replying to them instead of driving. I guess they realized, finally, that I was too wasted to finish the game and I think we all had a good laugh.
I've taken to posting at the beginning of every match: "So which side are you guys going to Lemming Train too?"
That way I can camp waaaaay back and farm DMG for their spotting.
as a joke on lakeville the other day i posted at start ' so the plan is we all rush in and die uselessly ok ? ' 2 minutes later 13 people had died in the valley ,next time i'll keep my mouth shut ;)
@@johnche6876 same map I was in my STRV S1 south base. whole team except one light and a medum went valley. I watched them die needlessly. The wrecks were so thick the heavy tanks on the enemy team had to push them out of the way to crest the ridge. I had by that time did my best impression of a german U boat in the lake
"return of the stupids"
me: They have never left to be able to return. They are still exposing themselves in every battle, dying in the 1st 30 sec.
6:06 "Actually Jingles, the term Lemming train originated from the 1991 puzzle-platformer _Lemmings_ ".....
Which in turn got the name from the mass suicide myth of actual lemmings (the rodent) perpetuated by various old media; most (in)famously "White Wilderness".
ARL: "DoeS yOu havE StuPiD?!"
Grille: "Which end is the front of my plane and where do I need to sail in it?"
5:22 never seen jingles lose it, 10/10
Is it bad that the gorgeous environment at 0:33 makes me want to give WoT a spin?
It reminds me of when I played with plastic soldiers as a kid, setting up dioramas in a sandbox... Only this time with a full-fledged game and a real purty HD sandbox.
Your WoW video from today about the blind player makes me more simperfetic to this guy
Don’t forget that the the grille’s name was “Worst arty brain”
The sheer comedy value of this video, nice one jingles hahahahahahaha
Jingles: you probably won't kill someone with, one shot
Kv2: 'spits out drink in horror'
I think I have an explanation for the ARL V39. What my guess is that an older sibling was told to watch a younger sibling, the older sibling got sick of the younger sibling and decided to sick there younger sibling on some world of tanks match for the older siblings amusement or just to keep the younger sibling out of there hair for about ten minutes. That’s the nicest explanation I have.
Perfect old man :))) we need more of this kind of videos :))
The Ryan Reynolds meme at the end... HAHAHAHAHAHA! Yeah, that is how I felt, but also, laughing my ass off with tears in my eyes from the laughing!
I have never been this confused and left scratching my head for so long on a TH-cam Video.
Never underestimate the leaf blower, not high damage but spits out fast enough to do damage.
And here I thought "lemmingtrain" came from the old pc game "Lemmings".
H3ell hammer! Salut Andrei! Ai ajuns celebru :)
My head hurts just watching that! Seems like its an everyday occurrence now since all the terrible players are stuck at home.
This is why i love this game
Wow, just wow!!!!
jingles damit, i couldent stop laughing whe he rewinded that t-34. Awesome!
Great video as usual Jingles! But the purpose of my comment is different. Shout out for visiting yesterday’s Claus’ stream and making it unforgettable for next couple of years! Hats off!
Lemming train: a group a lemmings (arctic mice) that are chased up a hill by camera crews and jumping to their deaths for our amusement.
Yes, the classic lemming train charges off a mass of rolling steel, encounter an enemy,. and then start exploding like popcorn. They are then new normal in WoT.
i can say, without a doubt, that the second half of this vid made me question people's IQ, again. thanks jingles...
Thanks Jingles, I needed this laugh. World of tanks never ceases to amaze me., Your commentary made it great 👍
"Hmmm I feel like playing WoT for the first time in months, let's watch this Jingles video on WoT."
[Watches video]
"Nope, not doing it. I'll keep my garage locked."
That leaping T-34-85 needed the bad slide-whistle effect from Thunderball.
Lemmings was a game, and the reference is to the games mechanic of Lemmings just following without questions, even to their own demise.
“Not dumb enough to pump shots into Hellhammer’s turret” : looks at the short length of the 34-85 gun and the hit recorder registering an HE hit....
Wasn't the Lorraine 40t the tech tree tier 9 french med that led to the BC 25t? The tier 8 was the amx 13 90
Ahh, I've missed these videos. Been too busy to watch as much as I'd like.
Send help. My brain just died
Don't worry. The video clearly demonstrated that the brain is not a vital organ.
Jingles, you started this video like all of my professors start their classes, by defining things for everyone who refuses to study.
💓!!They never left Admiral Jingles!! 🤣
god damn it jingles, I needed those brain cells for my test tomorrow
Some of those guys make even me seem only atrocious.
This video makes me want to cry
We NEED more of those vids! ^^
Did he just say "Volks" instead of "folks" at the very end?!?
[German heavy breathing intensifies]
“The return of the Stupids”
Me and the bois going back to school
