Yes, there’s a lot of space here Brendon but behind you is a large farmhouse and everyone knows their neighbour. It’s lambing time and sheep rustling goes on unfortunately and boat sheds get broken into. The RSPB centre and cafe are vulnerable too. Most of the locals rely on the lake and it’s surrounding land to make their living. They know the area like the back of their hand and are very security conscious. So, maybe they won’t physically move you on but they can make their presence known and can note registration numbers ‘just in case’. Also, re. drones - Jets from RAF Valley do occasionally test their low-flying skills locally!! Motor homes/camper vans are self-explanatory at night-time but a van may seem ‘dodgy’, so the locals won’t take chances. Btw, thanks for another great video.
Great video! We have learnt something from the video you had your window smashed. We have a berlingo microcamper, and if we are out in a park up and we hear anything concerning such as a car or person near us that doesn't seem right, we now make out presence known straight away by either turning on the lights inside and if anyone should try the door we now shout, before they have the opportunity to break any windows etc! Glad this turned out to be a decent spot in the end :D

Ever thought about coming up with the van to Scotland🏴? You know you should. We live in a country of fairness and equality... don't we ??? They should be fair and cater for all. We have overnighted there too. Beautiful place. Nice one buddy
That's a real shame... It's a beautiful spot that would really benefit from some kind of overnight parking system. £5 between 8pm and 8am maybe? Oh well..
@@BrendanExplores there is another guy on YT called Love Sundays and he does alot of vanlifing in Cornwall, he gets complaints but says to the locals charge £5 a night and generate income for the village/town.

I've noticed the majority of "stealth" campers use white colored vehicles. I know white as a vehicle color is common, so that would help blend amongst a group of vehicles, but alone it stands out. Is there a reason for stealth campers using a white vehicle, or is it just a coincidence?
Technically, they can stop you from taking off and landing on their land. If it is maintained by them, which I suspect it is... You can take off from the public highway. However, if it is a council sign, then that ends that. You can, of course take off outside of the property and fly over but you will be operating BVLOS and puts others & your craft in danger which is technically against the drone code. The only time you can do that is if you factor it into a risk assessment. This is for 249g drones onwards. Dont get me wrong we try and get the best footage for our audience but sometimes it is not possible or worth it. Keep on smiling, from Matti..

Especially when you're alone...you are simply at risk...and even company doesn't necessarily help much... If you're not going to spend the night in a safe environment...yo're simply asking for trouble...So why risk the adventure?... to save a few bucks... Inquiring minds want to know?
Good question and thanks for asking it 👍. You make some good points. My thoughts are that I've been stealth camping now for a couple of years and I can safely say that if I had booked hotel rooms with the kinda views I've woken up to then I would completely bankrupt by now.. you say save a few quid but the hotels around some of the locations I've been to can charge over £200 a night! I've saved thousands, possibly tens of thousands. I also like a bit of a challenge and excitement, stealth camping brings back that feeling of being a little kid making a den and hiding from your parents 👍. In the hundreds of camps I've been on, I've only had one truly bad expectancy and that was extremely rare. I hope that that answer clears up any questions you may of had and thanks for watching and leaving a comment 👍
While I can appreciate your stealth camping…I too was a victim of it… like “55” yrs ago at Big Sur CA… over a Thanksgiving wknd… they attempted to steal our GT6… apparently foiled in the attempt… we weren’t in it…at the time… people have a right to their privacy… just as you want… but not on “your” terms… why not try and negotiate with them… beforehand…
Great camp. We came through Welshpool on Saturday on our way to Fairbourne. Camped at Morfa Mawddach railway station carpark near Arthog, which I can thoroughly recommend. Very peaceful in the evening and you can walk across the bridge from the carpark to Barmouth. You’re right at the end of the Mawddach Trail, a 9.5mile disused railway now used for walking and cycling from Dolgellau.
Agreed! This route would be a good one to watch Brendon as he explores. I’m too old now to walk Barmouth Bridge again BUT I’ll let Brendon do the hard work for me!🤣
Hi dude I must object to your camp when there are signs up as it does give van and car lifers a bad name. I'm sure it will be brought up in the dept meeting. Oh wait till you get your aldi car park fine lol😂😂 I enjoy the car camp but I'm not staying if signs say NOOooooooo. Stealth means stealth give the community a great name m8.
I appreciate your opinion mate and understand where your coming from 👍. I have to disagree on the part on giving vanlifers a bad name though as that would be true if I dumped rubbish and waste (which I never do). Before long buddy, signs will be everywhere so as long as your responsible and look after your environment I don't see an issue. I appreciate we can have different opinions though and thanks for watching 🙂👍
@@BrendanExplores The issue is, you are parked up on someone else's property & this was made clear to you. Why ignore this, why not respect the landowner's wishes ? Would you want folk parked up overnight on your property ?
I've watched many of your videos with amusement, fair okay you are entertaining to a manner, but boy you need to man up a bit, stop being such a wimp and frightened all the time. You park in areas where nature lives and tbh was there a long time before so to them you are of interest. They too make noises, do strange things, and are very inquisitive, so really your very similar. Wales is one of the most beautiful places in the UK , rich with farm land, countryside etc, the locals are very protective of these and rightly so, it's been in there lives for many generations. I travel around Wales mostly in my t4 living my own vanlife and doing my own thing, so I appreciate the lifestyle of doing so. But I do know the boundaries, I know wildlife, I know farmers and such, and as long as all is respected, we all get along. Maybe you could make yourself known to the people involved to save any upset, maybe it'll effect your ratings but I'm sure as an entertainer you will overcome any issue there. Have safe journeys in all your adventures and maybe we'll pass each other at some point and share a cuppa. Remember a vows lick won't kill you but a angry farmer who thinks your stealing his flock just may do. Thank you for sharing all you do. I enjoy it, really. Watch that waistline also or you'll be needing a bigger boat (camper) 😊😊
New subscriber, really enjoying your channel, i would of stayed in that spot aswell, im always staying where im not supposed to, if anyone comes round the van i just ignore them unless its the police, although usually i dont hear a thing as im out for the count lol

I knew 100% that it was going to be Vrynwy 😅😂
I’m too old now to walk Barmouth Bridge again BUT I’ll let Brendon do the hard work for me!🤣
Let’s hope he does it Wendy! X
🤔
I’m in llanfyllin dodo the car park
Hi dude I must object to your camp when there are signs up as it does give van and car lifers a bad name. I'm sure it will be brought up in the dept meeting.
Oh wait till you get your aldi car park fine lol😂😂
I enjoy the car camp but I'm not staying if signs say NOOooooooo.
£2.65 for half a dozen chips I hope they used ky
It’s not for girls 🤠
That's the one! 🤣
You’re going to put so much weight on, so many carbs in one meal
Too late 🤣🤣
New subscriber, really enjoying your channel, i would of stayed in that spot aswell, im always staying where im not supposed to, if anyone comes round the van i just ignore them unless its the police, although usually i dont hear a thing as im out for the count lol
Yorkie.....Not for girls! 😂😂
Please don’t singgggggg
🤣🤣🤣
Slabs of pork all over!
Delicious! 😋
You must have been stuffed after all that meat, don't you get stomach indigestion issues when you are in a camper van laying down? What are you doing for late night entertainment on these videos? I see another guy on TH-cam who has a projector TV setup with Amazon.
Large stomach me mate 😉😋 and I do sometimes have some acid reflux but as a whole, I'm normally ok 😁
@@BrendanExplores I had a bad back a few years ago and spent a few months laying down and I hated it.
