It's not even worth it to work anymore. I'm homeless in an old Toyota Sienna minivan in Los Angeles, after losing my housing twice during the pandemic, and couldn't afford the skyrocketing rents. I work and I'm not a drug addict.
I somewhat agree... work is only worth it if you're doing what you love. Other than that, do a few Instacart/DoorDash orders a day and you've got your per diem lol. That's how I lived in my Jeep during my last year of school ... and honestly... kinda miss it.
As long as you're sleeping in something you're not homeless. Your home just happens to have wheels, and there's nothing wrong with that. You're free.

You can get airside (past TSA) after midnight on the day of your departure. Airside at most airports have nice carpeting and it's a well known thing to sleep there as long as you are a ticketed passenger
Totally makes sense for a vanner with an early flight departure.
I love your van & that's the kind I wanted when I first started watching "Vanlife" on TH-cam 8 yrs ago !!! I believe if your flying from an airport u should be ok to sleep in your van since your leaving it there!!!👍✌️

What they think they know and what they can prove, are two very different things. 😅. I'd buy the panel van version of an Astro van and then install a metal partition and in front. Just let people knock and not get a reply.

I really do miss vanlife, I’ve slept in my fair share of parking garages and hospital parking. Afterwhile I felt like I couldn’t find anywhere to stay or find a gathering of van lifers
Ah sorry to hear you ended up feeling you couldn’t find fellow vanners out there! There’s a lot of meetups/expos annually I like going to and I make friends there! Or I follow vanners on Instagram which can also help.

$25/day. It’s not cheap ugh!
What are the carry on weight limits in the US? We only get 7kgs/15lbs as cabin allowances. And they weigh at the gate 😤
Oh that sucks!! From my experience they don’t have a weight limit for carryon in the US!
No weight limit but size limits.

😢 Sadly, the use of swearing for emphasis or as fillers is getting worse with each generation and is filtering up to older folks who never used to swear.
