    This video has more warp in it than an episode of Star Trek TNG

    There are so many aweful people in this comment section. Yeah the video quality is pretty bad, there's some tear out, the joints don't fit perfectly, they could be made using a simpler method, and personally I think the tool paths aren't very efficient. Who cares? This video inspired me to design something better. Continue being miserable

      You're one of the awful people yourself. We didn't insult anybody, we were just pointing out details of quality. You on the other hand choose to make it personal. So you deserve the same treatment as they say.

    Loving it! Just starting with my diy CNC and can't stop watching stuff like this. Tnx for sharing the info and design. Hope to get to this level!

    not dove tails - they are finger joints.

    these are not dovetails. Box joints can be made quicker on a table saw.

      It's an experiment. I'm researching hardwood cnc joinery and I can see how this concept could be modified to create something that could never be done on a table saw. Try to stop thinking so linearly and more importantly don't be a pretentious prick

      @@kevincoates1597 I like the box but Ray is correct, these are inlay box joints.

    How did you clamp the workpiece ..most people don't have hole in CNC for this? Very interesting

    think the top and bottom would look nicer if you put an edge along it like they do with les paul guitars , it makes the edges fit more intoo the rest of the box and hides the ends of the top and bottom making the box apear to be made from one piece

  • @tomsears2471
    @tomsears2471 ปีที่แล้ว

    sometimes that camera makes it look like the piece is moving when it being cut. that is a nice project.

    Really horrible to watch as there is significant distortion in the camera lens.

      doesn't all wood dance like jello when you cut it? lol

    Probably not the best example to follow... two corners of the box base show white wood, so your cut was not parallel with the bottom of the box!

    The camera making keystone adjustments on the fly is unnerving, makes it hard to watch.

    WHAT KIND OF CNC MACHINE IS THIS

    • @richardfarwell6759
      @richardfarwell6759 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      (Surprised no one answered your question after two years -- but maybe you've figured it out.) It's a CNCRouterparts aka Avid CNC machine. They're a really solid kit -- not cheap, but rigid, which I think is the reason the maker can take such heavy cuts with a 1/2" bit.

    Must be Portuguese because THEY are not dove tails lol Everything you did would have been faster with a jig on the table saw BTW STOP saying hybrid dove tails lol they are not lol Like I said must be Portuguese

    You...should be more careful and less ignorant on the web.
