      I watched someone play it recently and that game looks like it has so much BS in it lol. I would have lost it at that part

      Haha! that game is so trippy but fun, and it's self aware of its sillyness, it's like you're playing a meme game. so much charm

    I'm still hoping for the remake of Legend of Legaia. 😅

      That's the dream. 🙌

      It will never be a reality. At all. :(
      Mainly because the original team for that game is no longer. And even so, that IP wasn't a "seller".
      But, I would love to see a remake or a game similar to it.

    threads of fate is fun but the platforming sections are heinous. I stopped playing because of them.

    i dont think parasite eve is a hidden gem. its mainstream enough for masses

      maybe dino crisis suits better

    • @blastfromthepastgaming
      @blastfromthepastgaming  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Perhaps, but I still believe that Parasite Eve didn't receive the recognition it deserved. I mean, I know many RPG players who didn't get a chance to play the game and refuse to try it because it appears to be a only a survival horror game. Speaking of survival horror, As for Dino Crisis, I categorize it as that, the same with Resident Evil, so it wouldn't fit on this list.

      @@blastfromthepastgaming but Parasite Eve has 2 sequels to its name, so like melon musk said, it's NOT a hidden gem
      ''hidden gem'' is mostly reserved to games that people ignored and are not talked about
      I can even add Star Ocean as it grew into its own franchise, plus the OG game got a remake and HD remaster on modern consoles

      @@martinde-serres8724 Well, I understand your point. However, using that argument, you could say the same thing about Legend of Legaia, which also got a sequel. Yet, numerous people would agree that it truly is a hidden gem that was underappreciated during its time.

      @@blastfromthepastgaming parasite eve has 2 million CD sold in total. its kinda high compared to other titles mentioned in the video. i think CD sales is a good metric to determine a game is hidden gem or no.
      With that being said, i didnt get to play it either. I think i'ts due to it lauch date around 1998 where many major hit titles also launched. It get overlooked in a sense.
