Trying to install this right now on a Model 3 and this video leaves a bunch of stuff out as to what plugs into what. The written instructions are not much better. I knew this thing was going to be a pain in the ass.
It's so super simple. It's literally unplug the OEM lights and plug these in. It could not get any simpler.
You should probably have one of the neighborhood kids install it for you.
Finally a lightbar that looks OEM and not cheesy.
This changes the vertical position of the rear camera. Tesla cameras are precision mounted, so now the rear camera is out of calibration.

Would that it would serve as a Starlink antenna and receiver. I'm waiting for something like that, to replace the Sirius/XM radio that we can't get on the Model Y.
Not this version has no association with starlink and it has no correlation - just how it’s being branded

I have ordered a lot of Tesla stuff from Hanshow they don’t send tools with to install it I have asked them several times
But don’t sent it even I just bought ambient lights kit for my Tesla model y the only thing they sent out with ambient lights kit is gloves

is been a year you install the tail light bar, i'm wondering how you like it after a year? you still have it on? is the light effect camera picture by adding lights right on top of the camera ?

I notice you installed the pilot light at the bottom. How does the wire connection from that light to the tail lights, then to your new light bar strip link tail light?
I'm guessing there's no way to configure the way the lights work. I would really prefer if the whole light bar didn't flash with the blinker

I don't like it to be triggered when indicators are on, is there a way to program it?
Trying to install this on a 2023 Model Y Performance. The light strip is 3 inches on the in the center (widest point).
The to be installed (above plate) is 2 1/2 inches deep (centet), so there is 0.5 inch of the strip light sticking out.
Is this how your look like? Can you please show a picture from above? I would expect the light strip to be flush with the lip, not protruding out.
Any problem with the camera ?

I don’t like the turn signals. Also even though it’s clever it’s just a eye sore that it protrudes out connecting the oem lights to the bar
You can disconnect the turn signal just cut wires to the indicators. Then it works as running lights and brake lights.
@@megawatts Do I have to cut the wires for the indicators? Can't I just not connect them to the tail lights? They're the yellow wires right?

Just installed the Starlink on my 23MYP. Had to use your install vid plus Hansshow’s to complete the install. Nothing too difficult and not really time consuming, but it took me a while because I was watching and rewinding to make sure I didn’t miss a crucial step! Looks great and I’m glad I added these lights to my MY. Next, I’ll be adding the “F1” lights like you have on your Y.
I’m assuming the F1 install is much simpler and faster than the Starlink install?
Did it clear your license plate easily?
@@timothyvo3749 Nope. I modified the plate holder (Dremeled the screw holes to drop the plate down a bit) so it sits just low enough for it to clear.
@@JSinistaProductions thanks for the info - could you elaborate just a bit more? Like were you able to use all 4 mounting holes for the plate holder? And how much dremeljng like a half inch? 3/4”?

@JSinistaProductions I have the same car as you, but the light strip is not flush with the lip, where 0.5 inch sticks out. Is this how yours look like? Can you share a photo from above?
@@carlos_siqueiraMine doesn’t fit flush, but it only protrudes maybe 1/8 of an inch.
Does it affect warranty on new car?
Any issue with the license plate mounting after installation?
I had a lot of problems with this and ended up removing it!
I removed the entire license plate frame, installed and then reinstalled the license plate no issue whatsoever reinstalling it.
When I installed mine it would not allow the plate and frame. Can you share a photo?

I got this sent to me by another provider and theirs uses a plugin to the 12V cigarette lighter. Did you do that as well? I see Hansshow’s shows to do this as well. Thanks for the info!
No 12v cigarette lighter for this Hansshow version. Hansshow now customize and test products before release so it’s more refined. Where did you get yours?

Nah, the camera ends up being slightly lower after install so the guide lines will always look little weird as long as the light strip is installed.

@@CumBrianFries it was warm out so no but these are strong 3 m the real 3 m not m3 adhesive so very sticky.
I assume nothing for the Model X?
Unfortunately most mods and accessories are focused on Y/3

Terrible install video. Not current with the unit they send out now. No instructions on the 12 v hookup and written instructions say to run it to the left tail light.
Dose this has any effect on the cars warranty or making it void?

You skipped to plugging directly into tail lights with no interconnecting wiring. On to another video since Hansshow has ZERO useful instructions.

how much clearance is needed to clear the license plate? I only have 3/4" from the top of my plate to the oem light. your MY looks like a 2" gap.
