  • Blackpool were one of the most entertaining Premier League teams in quite some time. They had scored more than Champions League hopefuls Tottenham Hotspur but conceded a near-record amount but took it to the final day. The final day saw five teams fighting for three places: Wolves, Blackburn, Wigan, Birmingham and Blackpool. The Tangerines and Birmingham would be relegated.

Blackpool having an 8 year run in the PL and getting into Europe seems a realistic prospect, Burnley showed how a decent team can prosper if they can survive that first season, hope to see Blackpool back in the big time someday

What if Newcastle qualified for the 04-05 Champions League?
What if Cech never got injured?
What if Courtois never left Chelsea?

This was a really interesting video and loved watching it, but I think some of the things you mentioned happening if Blackpool did stay up would never of happened. The 1st point you made is that Charlie Adam wouldn't of gone to Liverpool but knowing the Oyston family they would of cashed out for a deal if it came in considering it would of been probably more then the additional 6.75m that Liverpool actually payed for him well he was in the Championship. Keeping up the next season really would of been dependent on how much quality and investment was put into the team remember that the problem wasn't scoring goals the season prior but they conceded to much and without having an inference like Charlie Adam in the dressing room could of made the team gain less points then they actually had stayed up with in the 1st place, however considering that the point total in the league was lower that season I will say that they survived relegation. Sadly I wish what you said about Blackpool winning the FA cup actually happened but I wouldn't see this being the case. Yes don't get me wrong magic moments can happen in football like Wigan winning it but these things don't happen often and with a team probably more focused on a dog fight in the primer league I really can't see this being a possibility. Eventually I think that the Oyston family would of invested more into there other business like they did in real life and that the club would of suffered for it. You did bring up in the video that Sadler would of brought the club but I can't see the Oystons selling at this time period. They are quite frankly a evil family and would of watched the club decline not buying the quality of player that was needed and letting go of as many key players we had to bigger clubs something which probably would of most likely got us relegated back down to the Championship in 13/14. From there I see the events that actually happened happening and the club being in league 1 like they are today. You might completely disagree with what I think and would love to have a further discussion about this with any football fans that wish to comment. Keep up the amazing content and hoping everything with the channel goes well. UTMP let's hope we are in the Championship next season and the dream of being back in the primer league happens again.

thank you for your comments and I appreciate them! I try to err on the side of positivity which might always not be realistic but I like to think people come here for unrealism haha, plus I have a soft spot for Blackpool so wanted to make them good :) hope they go up this season!

First season could have been as easy as Matt gilks not getting injured because Kingston was the worst I've ever seen in goal

Same thing that did happen pretty much, but the owners would have taken twice as much money
