I think they only started calling it the West lancs derby cause of the east lancs derby. But Preston is very obviously bang in the centre of lancs. Pne vs bpool is really 'the' Lancashire derby. Whatever Burnley and Blackburn might think their rivalry is nowhere near as intense as pne vs bpool.
In the early 90s...I remember seeing 2 preston fans being followed by a large group of Blackpool fans on the way to Bloomfield ...the blackpool fans spat constantly on their backs until they were completely covered in a sheen of gozz.....they could nothing.
