Headboard vote: Trellis because it is open and airy plus it won’t block the view of your beautiful kitchen area and close it off! Everything looks wonderful.
I vote for the wooden scroll headboard. Put the right side facing the kitchen area of the van. Make a piece of masonite to fit in the frame. Glue a piece of foam to the masonite. Cover it with quilt batting. Cover this with decorative fabric and fit into the frame. Now you have a head board, padded on one side and decorative on the other side.
I am here for it ALL, Lulu whatever you want to share 🙂 I think the trellis would be the most pleasing to the eye and keep the feel of your van more open, but I wonder if it wouldn't bend over time from being leaned against. Here is my idea: use the square wood that used to be a mirror...put pallet boards along the back of it to hide the back and whitewash them to match your cupboard since it will be facing that direction. It will also help to protect your bedding/pillows from any cooking splashes.
I think the metal trellis would be best. It's open and airy and adds to the van without blocking the view. Also, you could put fairy lights on it or a reading light, or your fan.
I have been wanting to write the same thing… the trellis can be cut to be the exact height needed, would still be open enough not to be a “confining” space.

I am sure you have already done your headboard. I like option 2. On kitchen side you can install a magnet for your knives I use a magnet for knives on wall of my van and the knives take upon space, stay there driving. Then a couple of cute small pictures you find along your journies. But you have done such a great job making your van cute and your own, I am certain whatever you pick will be cute.

Lulu another suggestion (😊)... a backrest or wedge pillow to make lounging/sitting up on the bed a little more comfortable on the posture. Could be used against the headboard/side door etc. for sitting in different areas of the bed. A child sized one probably wouldn't take up too much space to store when needed. Everything is coming along so nicely, the colors, the patterns look great. I'm enjoying seeing your ideas come together to make your home away from home not only functional but beautiful as well.

I've thought it over and watched the video again. I believe the wire trellis is your best idea. The top curve would leave you a more open space to move through safely. Where the grey headboard would have a danger corner at the top area. Just thinking...lol

And Bob COULD just put a thin backing onto the backside of the grey frame, in order to add your Spice rack , if you are willing to “give up” that space. I can’t WAIT to go on our first trip, 🎉!

Hi, Lulu! The u shaped nails in Mississippi, where i grew up, are called fencing nails. We used them in laying,a fence. We hammer them into the fence post to hang barbed wire for pasture land. We raised cattle. Love your decorating of the van. I like the trellis for your bed head board.

I vote for the white washed grey picture. It's not a solid wall which I think would be too closed in. It allows light through yet gives a sense of a separate sleeping area. So Mt second vote is the trellis.
I like the trellis. The nails are just called "staples". Used in fence building. My chives are just budding. Your flowers are all opened already. Thanks for sharing
I think the trellis is my favorite option. Open and airy, provides support without blocking the cubby and view, the black coordinates well with your decor and you could easily clip on a little reading light if you wanted. The decorative wood piece would be my second choice. Sturdier without blocking the cubby and you could trace the texture on the front and transfer the design to the back with paint so it doesn’t appear so flat or even carve it! I’m loving all your patterns! They mix well without overwhelming because they are in small amounts! Matchy-matchy can be too predictable and you, my friend, are anything but. That’s why you are such a fun, interesting person to be around. Can’t wait to see what you decide!
The different patterns reminds me of when I was a child in the 1940's and the designs were all varied and in the same room and even in our clothing. That is coming back in style.
For the bed frame remove the bad screw and use some wood glue with some claps til it drys. Re-screw in different hole. Otherwise it will keep splitting. Add bracket after that for added safety. Lookin good! Cant wait to see how you organize and pack! YAY!

I.M.O….for your headboard…use the beauty metal trellis that you purchased. It will give you support, but also allow see thru. Light blocking could effect your whole build. You could hang from your trellis on the kitchen side. It will be there, but be very open and airy.
I vote for the gray picture for the headboard and like a comment above said add pallet wood to the back and white wash it. That would look amazing and be sturdy. The trellis I don’t think will hold up leaning against it repeatedly
I like the trellis for now. I know whatever you choose is going to be great. I like the cover for the refrig. instead of a bed skirt....I just think the bed frame is too pretty to cover up (color). You can always cover anything under the bed with that same material IF one cover isn't enough...time will tell! I love the compass in that spot & all the other decals have great homes. Everything else you have done looks so good!!!!! It looks so light & bright in there it is just so beautiful! Yes, there are lots of patterns, but for some reason they look good together in my opinion. I just love that repainted pic. you have of the people dancing that you put on the med. cabinet! love it You are a go getter!!! Like I said, when you say you're going to do something, you do it, not just let it go for weeks (I love that)!
I like the light airiness of the trellis, but wonder if it is sturdy enough for leaning against. My vote goes to the custom built pallet headboard with a curved top, some cut outs to allow light and air, and room to hang things on the kitchen side.

The pallet headboard will block air flow....the trellis will allow air flow. The picture frame is nice but again very bulky looking. I choose the trellis but of course it is your choice♥add matching greenry to top of trellis, it also matches the vine look across from it!!!!

I think using the gray as a head board is great. I especially like the fact that you can see through it. I think it will make it not feel so claustrophobic.
I think the pallet headboard would be most supportive, would tie in the pallet look from the other side and you could hang a little shelf up high. On the kitchen side of the headboard you could use the wall space for another shelf or something. I'm afraid the trellis would eventually deform even as tiny as you are. ❤️
Lu... hate to say it but I agree with karen! The trellis airy but not supportive enough for body weight over the long haul. Also, what if you started feeling that wire/metal trellis thru your pillows ......... ala the Princess and the Pea story. One of my favorites. Will be interested to hear what Bob has to say. Was that great purple top a thrift store find? I'm figuring lunch and dinner were as good as they looked.

Idea 💡 White wash boards cut in the outline of the trellis, the attach the trellis to it painted your choice of color or left black. That way, pillow wouldn’t fall through and you have a “wall” in you kitchen area for attaching anything you like. AND it will be strong enough to lean back on.
Lulu!! I just finished my first Lulu's way meal and omg I'm floored how delish and filling it was and I can tell my body loved it! I had to cheat a little by steaming frozen sweet potatoes and Kale with just a touch of olive oil, added sea salt, white pepper and smoked paprika, added some chopped spring onions. I worked with what I had and could afford. I just can't believe how wonderful it was, thank you!!!

Lulu, at the end of video, when you sat at the end of the van, your van looks just lovely and happy. The colors just blend. It’s clean, open and plenty of head room💕. ..oh I’m not a designer, more of an engineer but I like the trellis, just not sure it will be sturdy when you lean against it. The pallets would be sturdy but block the openness, the picture frame is my choice, paint the bed side, green and the other side white. Then ask Bob to put a few shelves on the kitchen side for whatever you decide. I enjoy your videos, so fun and educational. 🙌🏼 *~* Kathy🌸
The pallet idea would match the rest of your kitchen storage. However, what about turning the grey piece around so that the pretty side is on the back for you to enjoy - then on the side with your pillow could be covered with batting and fabric.
I like the grey cut-out back board with matching palette boards on back (both matching the cabinets) AND more spice racks.... for small stuff you haven't thought about... small books, glasses, keys, cookbook? Computer? Big books? And I wish you would continue the greenery over the door panel above the other leaf design.... with narrow strips of white duct tape?
I like the trellis, because it’s lightweight and it keeps your space airy. You can hang things that you readily need from the other side or add that little bit of greenery that you had leftover.
I like 1 and 2 for the headboard. Maybe on the back side of #2 you can paint or find fabric the same color blue as your selves and white wash the front😊
The garland looks good where you placed it. I agree with you on those umbrellas. They are way better than the compact ones which always turn inside out whenever there is any wind. That sign with your name on it was such a thoughtful gift from your son. Good placement of your coat, backpack and clock. I love your attitude towards your garden; whatever will be will be. I bet your garden thrives.
I vote grey wall hanging, but reverse it, leaving pretty carved side showing into your living space, Because the headboard side is going to be covered up anyway with pillow, etc. so you could do some sort of a padded upholstering on the bed side, And then make sure the backside of the upholstering is a bright color that will show through as a sort of background on the pretty carved side. Not sure if that makes any sense but good job. This is been great fun watching you do this.

I like the trellis for now. I know whatever you choose is going to be great. I like the cover for the refrig. instead of a bed skirt....I just think the bed frame is too pretty to cover up (color). You can always cover anything under the bed with that same material IF one cover isn't enough...time will tell! I love the compass in that spot & all the other decals have great homes. Everything else you have done looks so good!!!!! It looks so light & bright in there it is just so beautiful! Yes, there are lots of patterns, but for some reason they look good together in my opinion. I just love that repainted pic. you have of the people dancing that you put on the med. cabinet! love it You are a go getter!!! Like I said, when you say you're going to do something, you do it, not just let it go for weeks (I love that)!

I like the light airiness of the trellis, but wonder if it is sturdy enough for leaning against. My vote goes to the custom built pallet headboard with a curved top, some cut outs to allow light and air, and room to hang things on the kitchen side.

The pallet headboard will block air flow....the trellis will allow air flow. The picture frame is nice but again very bulky looking. I choose the trellis but of course it is your choice♥add matching greenry to top of trellis, it also matches the vine look across from it!!!!
I like the trellis. Paint it white. Or black. Everything’s really coming along. Of all the van builds I’ve seen yours is one of the best.

Hi Lulu, I think the trellis is a nice solution. You could wind a strand of fairy lights on it. My 2nd choice is the gray frame. You could paint the side facing the kitchen area so that it matches your greenery.

I think using the gray as a head board is great. I especially like the fact that you can see through it. I think it will make it not feel so claustrophobic.
I think the pallet headboard would be most supportive, would tie in the pallet look from the other side and you could hang a little shelf up high. On the kitchen side of the headboard you could use the wall space for another shelf or something. I'm afraid the trellis would eventually deform even as tiny as you are. ❤️
Lu... hate to say it but I agree with karen! The trellis airy but not supportive enough for body weight over the long haul. Also, what if you started feeling that wire/metal trellis thru your pillows ......... ala the Princess and the Pea story. One of my favorites. Will be interested to hear what Bob has to say. Was that great purple top a thrift store find? I'm figuring lunch and dinner were as good as they looked.

I like the wire trellis because it's more open but try it first because it might be uncomfortable. Choice 2 is the pretty decorative mirror frame
My vote for your headboard is the trellis. Practical, non intrusive and lightweight!! Good luck.😊
Idea 💡 White wash boards cut in the outline of the trellis, the attach the trellis to it painted your choice of color or left black. That way, pillow wouldn’t fall through and you have a “wall” in you kitchen area for attaching anything you like. AND it will be strong enough to lean back on.

Lulu!! I just finished my first Lulu's way meal and omg I'm floored how delish and filling it was and I can tell my body loved it! I had to cheat a little by steaming frozen sweet potatoes and Kale with just a touch of olive oil, added sea salt, white pepper and smoked paprika, added some chopped spring onions. I worked with what I had and could afford. I just can't believe how wonderful it was, thank you!!!

Lulu, at the end of video, when you sat at the end of the van, your van looks just lovely and happy. The colors just blend. It’s clean, open and plenty of head room💕.
..oh I’m not a designer, more of an engineer but I like the trellis, just not sure it will be sturdy when you lean against it. The pallets would be sturdy but block the openness, the picture frame is my choice, paint the bed side, green and the other side white. Then ask Bob to put a few shelves on the kitchen side for whatever you decide. I enjoy your videos, so fun and educational. 🙌🏼 *~* Kathy🌸

The pallet idea would match the rest of your kitchen storage. However, what about turning the grey piece around so that the pretty side is on the back for you to enjoy - then on the side with your pillow could be covered with batting and fabric.
I like the grey cut-out back board with matching palette boards on back (both matching the cabinets) AND more spice racks.... for small stuff you haven't thought about... small books, glasses, keys, cookbook? Computer? Big books? And I wish you would continue the greenery over the door panel above the other leaf design.... with narrow strips of white duct tape?
My choice is the trellis. I love it and it would continue the open feel that is so important in your tiny space.
I like the trellis, because it’s lightweight and it keeps your space airy. You can hang things that you readily need from the other side or add that little bit of greenery that you had leftover.
I like 1 and 2 for the headboard. Maybe on the back side of #2 you can paint or find fabric the same color blue as your selves and white wash the front😊

The garland looks good where you placed it. I agree with you on those umbrellas. They are way better than the compact ones which always turn inside out whenever there is any wind. That sign with your name on it was such a thoughtful gift from your son. Good placement of your coat, backpack and clock. I love your attitude towards your garden; whatever will be will be. I bet your garden thrives.

I vote grey wall hanging, but reverse it, leaving pretty carved side showing into your living space, Because the headboard side is going to be covered up anyway with pillow, etc. so you could do some sort of a padded upholstering on the bed side, And then make sure the backside of the upholstering is a bright color that will show through as a sort of background on the pretty carved side. Not sure if that makes any sense but good job. This is been great fun watching you do this.
