This was the second Three Tenors Concert that was formed for Placido Domingo, Jose Cararas, and Luciano Pavarotti to welcome the comeback for Jose who had recovered from leukemia. It was the highest selling classical album ever and spawned many more of these tours.

I cannot hear this song without being reminded of the classic Cornetto advert from my childhood. 🎵Just one Cornetto, give it to me! Delicious ice cream, of Italy... The nut, and chocca dream, give me Cornetto...from Walls' Ice Cream!🎵🙃 You should try reacting next to "Caruso" by Pavarotti. That song really hits you in the emotional gut.

Agree, Pavarotti is the King of Caruso as far as I'm concerned and no it isn't an invitation for Lara Fabian fans to criticise since I don't even consider her an opera star never mind opera royalty. Lucio Dalla agreed and even put Luciano's version on his studio album. Caruso is probably my favourite song of all time and more people need to react to it
Elvis did an 'English' version of this song "It's Now or Never". Went to Number 1 ... shortly after he was demobbed from the Army.
The Three Tenors were Luciano Pavarotti who started off this aria then followed by Placido Domingo and ladt but not least Jose Carreras the smallest in physical stature. These three did a lot to bring the joy and beauty of opera music to the public❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
