whah whah, first a fake arrest, then a few stitches….lame….you need better controversies to draw in viewers. How about finishing a project for once ?
Nah
@@MortskeRepair man ..be careful dude ..
I can think of one less viewer he can draw in...
😂
Dang brah cool down there even Steven
Thanks Mortske, I've ben waiting patiently fo you to share your Riviera. The 63-65 Rivs were some of the most beautiful cars made. Certainly form the 1960's, when many great looking cars were made. Thanks again.
Our pleasure!
You will learn one day
Please take care of this car. My dad had a white 63 with a white interior. I teared up when I saw this thinking of my pop. What a beautiful automobile.
Congratulations, Chin, on the birth of your baby girl. Big shout out for Mrs. Chin for being a true champion. What a blessing.
yeah congrads chin, kinda looks like Morts? just saying?

Mortske I’m right in the same boat as you, nearly lost my finger Monday night with an angle grinder and cut off wheel working in the shop. Had to go get stitched up as well, hopefully yours heals up good and quick so you can get back after it and you don’t loose the shop because we both know Duff isn’t going to help out without thumbs.
I can relate 2 months ago had a cutoff wheel let go broke and 3 stitches in my nose thank God I had on safety glasses on put a huge scratch in those

A super collectable Riviera...love the detailed interior finishes they did back then & no cheap plastic knobs and real chrome vents...congrats...look forward to see it detailed and on the road with Duff....the wires are really cool with this car & the lowered body now....👍👍👍👍
Thanks!
Mojo needs a cape, he is a super hero to the rescue. Love the big sporty cars of the 60's. In Canada that finger would be healed by the time they would get to it in ER. Thursday release threw me , already in withdrawal.
So glad to see Mortske on the Tube , You have been missed !!!! Big shout out to Mr and Mrs Chin on the new arrival to there family , CONGRATULATIONS !!! . A call out to MoJo for always being there , You are one outstanding man !!! and Oh Yea , Duff Dog who really is by your side through thick and thin , no thumbs required . from Stuart in Canada ...
that Mojo is one cool cat. kind of like the slick 50 of the north. keep up the great work.
Thanks! Will do!
DAMN!!! That car bit you good! That thing is frickin nice! I also wanna add that I love the Mortske minute segments! Very informative. Thank you for entertaining so many of us!
Glad you like them!
The short ones anyhow. Lol
Nice to meet you. My uncle would be so happy about you working on this thing! He meant to do it for years and years!
Nice to see Uncle Ray's car in the hands of someone who has passion for it. And yes, this sat in a garage in Minneapolis for 30+ years!
@@reginasuprema7552 Yes, very cool!
It's in good hands. I'm a fan of this show here, and we don't hear him say he's going to keep the vehicle around a lot. Hopefully, he does because it looks like an amazing car.
@ Glad to hear it. I got that feeling when i met him. I look forward to seeing updates on it.
Thanks for selling it to me!
Years ago, I passed up a very, very clean 1965 Riviera for only$800 (because it didn't run)
I have never stopped regretting that decision. That car was also white, so the nostalgia is strong today paduan!
Missed opportunity!
Mr.Mortske- this may be your best videos, mud blood guts and rust. All the essentials of working on vintage stuff-at least you didn't have to deal with salted roads rot.very nice
Thanks, I appreciate it!
I hope your finger is feeling better and hopefully you don't lose any feeling in it. Thank God for Mojo, everyone should have a Mojo to help out when the digits are down. 😊
Man I always liked the Buick Riviera's my favorite body style I think it's 1971 to 73 the boat tail I'm just excited that more ski finally got a video up because of the circumstances he explained it and I'm just super excited because he's actually coming back with Rivera
I was worried, then Thursday Mortske came. The Rivera is a sweet ride.
It was neat to see Yoda of mufflers teaching young Mortske on bending.
Take care of yourself, don’t want loose your finger and shop.
Great videos as always.
Congrats chin on the little one my son is in his terrible 2's right now but i love him more than anything he saved my life.
When I started doing exhaust in1986, that was the first car I had to make an exhaust for. It came out amazing with the Huth bender cards.
What was the name of the angel finder they put on the end of the pipe. I was looking on the interweb and found digital versions but they look cheap. So I would prefer to get the analog version like in this video. The one they had looked quality
@@Johnny-jr2lq I had to get mine from the exhaust supply house as I couldn't find anything online either.
Congrats Mr & Mrs Chin! Thanks for replicating yourselves. BTW, your editing work is absolutely TOP NOTCH. Kudos to Mr Mortske for being a super supportive employer !
Appreciate it!
HEY! Gooooood morning Thomas and Duff! I love the Riveras , they were way ahead of their time!!
I loved the Buck in the early 1960’s. As a 15/16 year old high school student, working as a janitor part time, I got to drive my bosses new Buick about two blocks - from time to time. His name was John Junker in Minneapolis. Great guy and great time to be a teenager.
Good times!
I remember you were looking for a clean Riviera 🙂 I hope this one is just the greatest! And I hope you are taking care of your poor hand!
i have a good switchpitch trans ready to go if you need it. Includes brand new shift kit, cast finned pan, smaller higher stall v6 converter and electric control kit.

@MortskeRepair will do
Mojo is the True Super Star of the Mortske Shop.

No doubt!
Who doesn't love Mojo! hahahah
Yeah! Mortske’s Thursday! How’s the Chin, his better half and the mini Chin doing? 🎉
Dang! I loooove riviera’s 😂!
Shout out to Boom tube, gotta love a dude happy to share his skills. Good exhaust guys are worth every penny!!
Right on!
What a beauty she is ! I loved all the Mortske minutes! Especially the Buick one. Good thing the car didn't take your whole finger ! Congrats on baby chin! 🎉
Thanks for watching and commenting!
My mother-in-law had one of those supercharged models. I was fortunate enough to drive it from CT to WY when they moved . That car would fly for a car back then
Nice!
Congrats to the chin family! Babies are fun… right? Awesome car! Guess we won’t be seeing price and availability in the description on this one. We learned a lot from the Mortske minute this week didn’t we? 😄 Thank you Mr Mortske!
Thirsty Thursday Mortske, I'll take it. Thanks for the video!!
I really really wanted a long Mortske video today! So glad you uploaded.
I just went through exactly what you're going through with your finger injury about 2 weeks ago God bless you and get that finger healed up Good luck your friend Mark
Best one you’ve brought home yet. Absolutely love this rig. Can’t wait to see it bagged. Looking forward to more on it. Congrats to chin and family on the new baby!
Coming soon!
I can't help myself from thinking of the fictional Benford tools on Home Improvement when you do the Benpak info. Lol
Great show!
My mother had a 1976 Buick Riviera. She bought it in 77 love that car show. Many great memories.
Oh wow, love the Riv, have always liked that body style!! 👍🙂
me too!
The Mortske minute is a outstanding learning experience on things you didn't know you needed to know
Glad you like them
my wife yelled from the kitchen, "how the hell does he know that much about Rivieras" I said, "It's Mortske, he knows all!"
@65BusDuo A wealth of useless information!
Ouch! Stitches in the finger! Glad to see another vid! 👍💪👊😎
Thanks for the history lesson Mortske! Brings back memories from when I was a kid, love these great cars!
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is one of the most beautiful cars. My brother-in-law had a nice metallic green one.
Agreed!
I am so happy for you Mortske. I remember your first Riv video. You liked the thing so much that you made me want one. You got your trophy car. I hope you drive it and put it in a sea container to keep it safe.
Much appreciated!
Glad your Back, was worried you were at Copart buying stolen cars and got caught again 😂😂
Love the old Riv. You need to keep that one, they don’t make those anymore. I like the boatails also. Great score. Congrats Chin, babies are great, just remember that they grow up to be people. Haha
Now that’s a gem and superb work on the muffilators . Cheers 🇨🇦
thank you!
Mortske , I love the "Mortske Minute" We've talked in the past and I watched you since the beginning . I just wanted to reach out and say I wish you did a full episode of just the Mortske Minute maybe on the second channel. Keep kicking ass !!!
Thanks for sharing!
Nice 63. Mine was the dealer’s wife’s ride with every option including cruise, foot radio control, cornering lamps, leather, and twilight sentinel. The last two off the option list by 64. Sorry about the injury.
Research which 4 spd automatic can handle the hp. Heard of 20 mpg. My 63 given the 64 trannie back in the 70s. Wonder bar radio? FM an option in 63.
The extra 2 ft of exhaust system on each side must have been a way to sell a lot more pipe 😂 probably have a silly name but it's most definitely better back pressure nevertheless it's just the perfect place to install the electric exhaust dumps ?
@@johnparsons2488 foot control radio?
@@colestowing8695more common on Cadillacs, but next to the floor dimmer switch is another foot switch to change radio on some cars equipped with the wonder bar signal seeking radio.
@@johnparsons2488 huh. Ok, thanks for explaining. I've never come across a car with that
Great Buick Mortske. Beautiful car. Don’t blame you don’t want to salt it up. Thanks for sharing your car. ❤️💯👍
Thanks! It's a real beauty
Congratulations Mr & Ms Chin.
Enjoy the Mortske minutes, congrats to Chin on the new little one, take care of those digits they’re kinda hard to replace
Great video...thank you!🐾🍺
I had a 98 (I think) supercharged Riviera. It was pretty quick.
What a gorgeous Riviera. Perfectly imperfect! So nice. Hope your hand is doing well. Keep it up.
I had an ice skate run over 1 finger as a kid.. Bone cut in two.. Hanging by skin.. Sewn back.. Just fine today.
Rivera is 👌.
ouch!
Would love to have me a clamshell Riv, especially with those power vent windows. Thanks Mojo for coming through when Sir Morticus dingled his dongle.
The Swanberg & Scheefe badge tho! Nice !
Glad to see you back! Happy to hear about Chin and his lady. Congrats guys. Take time to heal that finger, that had to suck lol. Keep on keepin on gentlemen
Glad to see you back 👍👍
Oh heck yes!!! I was missing my weekly dose of Mortske on Monday. I’m so glad you seem to be doing better! Keep a close eye on them digits of yours. Happy Mortske Thursday!
Glad to see you back i was getting worried. You need to keep your fingers out of tight places Puddin and Dan will never let you hear the end of this.
No, no, no the Riv is too low.
@@braddalager576that has nothing to do with happened. Also it’s a good thing your opinion don’t matter
At least he didn’t blow his whole hand up welding
Exactly. 😆
Congratulations Mr.&Mrs Chin , one of each. Awesome! Gotta be pretty brave to bring kids into this world right now. But here's to you and the misses, Hopefully everyone is healthy and happy.
I was born Feburary 21st of 1963. Of coures 1963 had all the coolest cars.😊 So the Buick and I will be 62 years old together. Put some miles on her this summer. AL B
Alright! Mortske Thursday!
Love the car and liked seeing my 65 doing the burn out at the start of it. Delores is coming along fine gonna paint her this spring. The interior is amazing glad you found her. Keep up the good work and videos.
DeLORES sounds cool!
Mortske on november 23 2024 i ended up getting my finger stuck in my winch. I ripped the fat off of the bone all the way down 😂. I feel your pain
Ouch!
Love ‘60s Rivieras; quite jealous at this point 😆 I hope your ouchie heals swift and clean. You suffer for your art 😆🤟🏼
Excellent Mortske Minute! Very informative, hope you heal up fast bud. I just became a member.
Welcome!
Good morning Mort, that Buick is a beauty. Take care and enjoy your new toy. 👍
right on was hoping youd post. wow xframe great educational, never heard of bend card
the more you know!
I love the Riviera's. My dad and mom had their first date in a white 64. My dad has since passed away and my mom is 78, and I still have that Riviera!
Thanks for sharing
If only the back seat could talk ... You wouldn't want to hear its stories 😆
Sweet ride mort.
Wilton for the win. God bless you in your healing. 👍
Damn. I felt that through my phone!! 🤢 Glad you’re on the mend and glad you’re back!!
🗿💨 that Buick is way good for its age. Its the car that made me appreciate em. Had a 65 in late 70s. Coool car Mortske 👍✌️ Thanks for sharing and keep that finger clean
Your back!❤
I am!
Hey Mort, love the info today. My Aunt had 64, she bought it used. I was a little kid and I remember riding in it. I believe hers was gray. Anyway, love the car, beautiful. Hope your fingers doing better and congrats to chin again on his newborn.
Thanks for sharing!
Man that sounds so good! WTH!
Hey Morty, glad you didn’t get hurt worse.
I did loose my left index finger, three years ago. I spent a year and 3 surgeries, trying to keep it. The initiation bone mending period 10 weeks, with pins , they also isolated
the other 3 fingers. I experienced cold and hypersensitivity. If didn’t work out, and it was amputated. I work on things too, and my helper hand is somewhat disabled. It will fit in tight spots though. My grandsons say it’s an alien hand.
Nice car, I also like the early rivs. You’ll be back at it soon.
sorry for your loss
Beautiful car. Good to have ya back! Congrats, Chin!
"How you gonna get it back together, now?"
"That's your problem!"
😂😂 Mojo with the killer zinger!
Glad finger on the mend .huge congratulations on 200 k subscribers
Thank you!
@@chrislambert2889 💯👍
Thanks for video. Dang finger smasher... Congrats CHIN and family. Another great one
I did the same same years back, almost lost the whole tip. Took 12 stitches to keep it from flipping off the tip of the bone.
ouch!
I love these old Rivieras! My uncle had one of the boat-tail Rivs which I thought were the coolest cars back then... our family (on my mother's side) were Buick people from the 50s through the 70s. My mother had a 1970 LeSabre and a 74 Electra 225 (both blue with white tops). Sorry about the "finger-bang" (not really the right term, but hey, it fits) I have a matching scar on the same finger from getting it slammed in a door when I was 6-7 yrs old. Congrats to Chen on the new baby girl!
lol
The Boattail is another underrated car that doesn't get enough love...obviously, the early ones are desirable because of the rear louvers and bumper/tail lights etc but I think getting one on here and dropping it would be cool as hell. I always thought what they did with the 72 in the movie Crank with Jason Statham was badass...Those cars can still be found semi-nice and affordable
I've been keeping an eye out for one!
Nice 👍
Congratulations to the Chin family. Ahhh, to be young again. Cheers to you!
Merch plug got me today… I can always use decals and finger repair utensils
Bout time you parted ways with that moldy money!
Just watching you do exhaust, exhausted me. Congrats to Mr, and Mrs Chin
lol
Congrats Chin!
Cool old rig, looking better all the time, thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones
Appreciate it!
I think most of us like the 65 best because of Road House.
There's actually a 63 at the begining of that movie!
Interesting content. A peak behind the curtain into the magic of exhaust system fabrication.
Welcome back Mortske!!
Welcome back Sir Mortske. I love the Riviera and all of the info/endorsements. I hope your Cali trip was fun and look forward to seeing excepts from it. Hopefully you took the Grant Line Road route and avoided the traffic in Sacramento.
What's my favorite vise? Rolling Rock! Well, not so much anymore Anyway, glad you kept the finger and thanks for the Public Service Announcement on all of it. Get better soon!
Glad you like them! Sacramento wasn't bad!
VMT #6 vise for me. Thanks for the video and cheers from Maine! Get Puddin to revive and "restore" a muscle car. Yeah, i got bit by a dog once and had to get a few stiches and i remember the first Novocain shot going right in the center of the wound. Christ on a pogo stick it hurt so much I was shouting in Chinese.
Puddin got close helping Sick with the firebird lol I think he just bought a 59 Biscayne and thats close to a muscle car
Congrats Chin. Beautiful Riv..boo boo's heal and it will make for a great memory as to what you were working on. Great vid..Love the Mor t minutes. 🇨🇦
Thanks so much
Love learning how much you like the Rivieras. Good luck with your recovery.
Thank you!
Congratulations Mr and Mrs Chin!🎊🎉
Thank you!!
If ya restored it up right,on a budget of course...STOCK..you could sell it for enough to save the garage, could go at least 6-7 months without losing the garage!!! Stock Riv's are worth alot and keep going up.
I received my order recently it had a decal I didn't order so thanks for the freebie.
You're welcome!
