I feel like so many people could get into Vampire Diaries if they give it more of a chance. Yeah, it was made for the Twilight Era people but it actually progresses into a much more mature story.
Nas yeah, I watched like 10 episodes of the first season just waiting for any plot related things to happen. And nothing did, all we had was “what are you planning?” To Damon. That really pissed me off tbf, I just can’t watch any more of it to wait till it gets better
That was me when I first started. I gave up but my friends harassed me to watch it again. So I skipped to the last episode of that season and moved on to season two which was way better. Now I have gone back and watch all those other episodes that I missed. Still didn't really miss anything.

The Originals are the best part of the show and worth every minute. Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah are my favourite characters and the Vampire Diaries giving us The Originals is /everything/
The best period of Tvd was season 2 3 4 with The original family,esspecially Klaus.After the only good thing that happened was Kai(also amazing villain).Season 7 and 8 were horrible,not bc it was not Elena(I do not even like her) the plot was stupid with these heretics and sirens .

I agree with everything said in this video. For the show to get good, you have to get past the first season. The first season is pretty cheesy, but once you get into the second and third seasons, the story really starts to kick off

Each season was a gradually process of growing up..... They stopped dealing with typical boyfriend issues to more serious issues or situations.... Like the freaking Originals!
I'd say 2 first seasons are pretty fun, season 3 is good but starts to show the cracks and finally we got to season 4 when everything starts to go to shit, with an imortal being after the other, then the cure, then Silas, then the travellers, and everyone dying and coming back to life, and oh dear, I stopped after watching the finale of fifth season where I literally stopped to care about the characters.
I actually think this show's way of portraying vampires is brilliantly well-thought-out. they center around all the points that make vampires a cool concept to begin with. The history knowledge, and them reminiscing last century's decades is one of my favorite things. the blood-lust and how it affects them, even the "emotion switch" was a concept that could have been cringy but they managed to pull off so well. when Elena goes batshit crazy this show becomes a whole new kind of festive😂
I've been loving your animation throughout. I also see that you're getting better and I admire you trying to educate yourself and I believe that's a way to go ♥ but also, don't worry about sometimes making the animation sloppier if you don't have enough time - it's your personality and outlook on life that keeps people hooked ;) at least me, anyway. I agree (: I love his animation but I also am here mostly for his personality, humour and pov. There are many animators out there who have good drawings but it's the commentary that makes an animation video brilliant. (I personally don't have a boyfriend to show these videos to but I enjoy watching them myself nevertheless ^-^ haha)

What bugs me the most about this show is what bugs me about all soap operas. In every scene, every character constantly recaps everything that has ever happened to them before moving on to new business. "Elena, I know we met in a graveyard five years ago and then we fell in love but later we broke up, but how is your brother doing with his secret magical powers that we just found out he has that compels him to kill you?" But I still like the show.

The feeling of getting proved right when your teacher is wrong is something special. Our teacher wasn't a jerk about the disagreement, he just wagered whether or not we would have homework then people clapped when I was right. He was a tough but fair and he did those "no homework" bets a lot.
Cartoon King long story short there was a wedding between caroline and stefan and literally the day after stefan died and caroline seemed totally fine with it. Ian (the director) thought it was a fantastic idea to bring the WHOLE cast back for the last episode and they didn’t play it off well. i was really confused.
plot twist: basically everyone turns into vampires elena ends up with creepy older brother stefan ends up with caroline turns human and dies jeremy dies like several times and is revived by bonnie matt is just existing? ps see the whole show
In my high school there were no popular kids or cliques in general. We were all stuck in the same hellhole and it was us against the teachers. Then again I did go to an all boys boarding school.
That has very specific reasons in this series. Spoiler: (don't read on if you don't like spoilers). . . . . . . . Elena is a doppelganger (exact lookalike, like a twin) of the female vampire called Catherine that sired Stefan and Damon over a century ago. Which is enough to spark curiosity of course. Later in the series Stefan discovers that he is a doppelganger too. Since the blood of doppelgangers can be used in various creepy occult blood sacrifice rituals, a group of evil witches called Travelers have long ago cast a spell that makes doppelgangers fall in love with each other, so if they need to find 2 or more doppelgangers, they can be found closer together. So Catherine falling in love with Stefan and Stefan falling in love with Elena is artificially predestined.
The most unbelievable part of this show was that the teacher didn't send Stephan to the principal's office. I corrected a teacher in class a few times, and they FLIPPED THE FUCK OUT! I can't remember what it was, but it was something that I had a real interest in, so I corrected her. And just like that, I was the disruptive student of the day. Anyway, great videos! We appreciate all your hard work!
When I first saw this show I thought it was going to be cheesy and shit, but I kept watching anyway. Fortunately, I ended up enjoying it A LOT! And especially when they introduced Klaus, things started getting so interesting that I watched all seasons. No matter what, it's still one of the shows I don't regret getting into it. Although, I still prefer the Originals.
i really want him to watch 2x8 (Rose), because I want to see his reactiom to Damon's behaviour, lol. But mostly, I want him to see the entire 'love triangle'.
I think what I liked about this series is how it handles grief. It glossed over her parents and "stoner girl's" death. But even though you know some characters will come back, the way the writers and actors respond felt very real to me.
That whole thing about trying to embarrass someone doesn't make much sense to me, either. I mean, if you get hit by a football... Why should you be embarrassed about that? It could happen to anyone; most of us don't have super-human reflexes, and if something like that happens unexpectedly... On the other hand, the person who intentionally hit someone with a football looks like a jerk and actually should be embarrassed.

YALL TH-cam IS AFTER ME I’ve been binge watching The Vampire Diaries on Netflix and I keep getting these videos on my TH-cam feed on The Vampire Diaries
Vampire lives through hundreds of years and knows every year everything happens. I can't remember exactly what year I first went to highschool or the date I was hired. Or is it just me?
Looking back at this, I think Damon went thro alot even from the start. SPOILER ALERT (just in case) . Stephan was the one who changed Damon into a vampire, was the one that forced him down this path, and all Damon wanted was Katherine's attention and love. All this funny witty comments and letting his bother be the good guy, is because he is hurt. But he does kill alot. But Stephan has done more killing cuz he had been thro that phase of the "Ripper" or something. Damon was trying to help him and stop him from that phase if I remember correctly. And yes he can be a bit creepy. But at the end of this I think the part that shined more (other than Stephan and Damon fighting over Elena) was that they understand each other at the end of this series and they will both do a whole lot to see each other happy. (Damon even backed away from Elena so she can go back to Stephan and he was also say good things about him so they can get back together). All they wanted was there life's back (staying alive for that long can do that to you). I remeber multiple times they tried to save each other from the wearwolfs, the originals and even the sirins and other mythical stuff. SPOILER ALERT . But everything tured out well at the end Stephan and Damon became human and died. I think Caroline stayed as a vampire... If I'm not mistaten. . . Alrighty... Bye (sorry to waste your time) 😂😂😂

one thing I do appreciate about vampire diaries is that people die. as dumb as it sounds it feels like a lot of teen monster shows fall into the trap of not making the monster dangerous enough, so the fact it's like "no these vampire are just out here killing people almost feels refreshing

I actually think this show's way of portraying vampires is brilliantly well-thought-out. they center around all the points that make vampires a cool concept to begin with. The history knowledge, and them reminiscing last century's decades is one of my favorite things. the blood-lust and how it affects them, even the "emotion switch" was a concept that could have been cringy but they managed to pull off so well. when Elena goes batshit crazy this show becomes a whole new kind of festive😂

I agree (: I love his animation but I also am here mostly for his personality, humour and pov. There are many animators out there who have good drawings but it's the commentary that makes an animation video brilliant. (I personally don't have a boyfriend to show these videos to but I enjoy watching them myself nevertheless ^-^ haha)

Man, I totally understand the feeling of being weirdly drawn to this show. I gave the first episode a try and thought it was the lamest show I’d ever seen. Fast forward a few months and I had binged all 8 (!) seasons plus the spin-off... all the while wondering why on earth I was doing it to myself :/ Sooo... yeah, I get it...

What bugs me the most about this show is what bugs me about all soap operas. In every scene, every character constantly recaps everything that has ever happened to them before moving on to new business. "Elena, I know we met in a graveyard five years ago and then we fell in love but later we broke up, but how is your brother doing with his secret magical powers that we just found out he has that compels him to kill you?" But I still like the show.
Honestly bro, the first half of season 1 is very cringy, as someone who's a fan, you should definitely keep watching, at least until the originals come in. Trust me, we have the same name.

Cartoon King long story short there was a wedding between caroline and stefan and literally the day after stefan died and caroline seemed totally fine with it. Ian (the director) thought it was a fantastic idea to bring the WHOLE cast back for the last episode and they didn’t play it off well. i was really confused.

Since the blood of doppelgangers can be used in various creepy occult blood sacrifice rituals, a group of evil witches called Travelers have long ago cast a spell that makes doppelgangers fall in love with each other, so if they need to find 2 or more doppelgangers, they can be found closer together. So Catherine falling in love with Stefan and Stefan falling in love with Elena is artificially predestined.

The most unbelievable part of this show was that the teacher didn't send Stephan to the principal's office. I corrected a teacher in class a few times, and they FLIPPED THE FUCK OUT! I can't remember what it was, but it was something that I had a real interest in, so I corrected her. And just like that, I was the disruptive student of the day.

When I first saw this show I thought it was going to be cheesy and shit, but I kept watching anyway. Fortunately, I ended up enjoying it A LOT! And especially when they introduced Klaus, things started getting so interesting that I watched all seasons. No matter what, it's still one of the shows I don't regret getting into it. Although, I still prefer the Originals.
i really want him to watch 2x8 (Rose), because I want to see his reactiom to Damon's behaviour, lol. But mostly, I want him to see the entire 'love triangle'.

I think what I liked about this series is how it handles grief. It glossed over her parents and "stoner girl's" death. But even though you know some characters will come back, the way the writers and actors respond felt very real to me.
Lets be honest, if Ian Somerhalder as Damon was the one who caught the ball coming from behind, it would be 100x hotter than how he did it.

I’ve been binge watching The Vampire Diaries on Netflix and I keep getting these videos on my TH-cam feed on The Vampire Diaries
Vampire lives through hundreds of years and knows every year everything happens.
I can't remember exactly what year I first went to highschool or the date I was hired. Or is it just me?
Well, they remember things better than regular humans, I think it was mentioned by some character in the show.
I never liked Elena.

Stephan was the one who changed Damon into a vampire, was the one that forced him down this path, and all Damon wanted was Katherine's attention and love. All this funny witty comments and letting his bother be the good guy, is because he is hurt. But he does kill alot. But Stephan has done more killing cuz he had been thro that phase of the "Ripper" or something. Damon was trying to help him and stop him from that phase if I remember correctly.
And yes he can be a bit creepy.
But at the end of this I think the part that shined more (other than Stephan and Damon fighting over Elena) was that they understand each other at the end of this series and they will both do a whole lot to see each other happy. (Damon even backed away from Elena so she can go back to Stephan and he was also say good things about him so they can get back together). All they wanted was there life's back (staying alive for that long can do that to you). I remeber multiple times they tried to save each other from the wearwolfs, the originals and even the sirins and other mythical stuff.

But everything tured out well at the end Stephan and Damon became human and died.
I think Caroline stayed as a vampire... If I'm not mistaten.

one thing I do appreciate about vampire diaries is that people die. as dumb as it sounds it feels like a lot of teen monster shows fall into the trap of not making the monster dangerous enough, so the fact it's like "no these vampire are just out here killing people almost feels refreshing
