- I’m not the best with video and editing but I tried!
Here is a 29 minute ish long video of my lovely 1988 Austin Metro L 1300 featuring driving, walk around and a talk! 😁
Enjoy!
Any comments and feedback welcome.
My mum's work colleague had one. I remember riding in the back during a lift home.
I love the photos of your dads Metro. There is always something about the slightly scruffy examples that I like.
What a beautiful example!
@@Leigho79 Thanks! 😁😁
Hearing that whining noise from the gear box bringing back memories
@@explosivegardenreboot That’s what its all about 🥰How nice!
Good or bad memories? Doesn’t matter ai guess 👌
You have a very tidy Metro!
My friend had a silver/blue Vanden Plas in the 90s.

Thanks! 😁
I’m so thrilled with it, its in lovely condition with such low miles, very pleased
Ah thats so cool! I absolutely adored my parents Metro VDP they had it was all sark blue inside and outside was light blue over dark blue, beautiful colour combo 😁
Are those pepper pots off an XR2?
@@b4tm4nrubin33 Not at all, they are from a MK1 1983 MG Metro ☺️
Fitted these to my Metro to replace the original steel wheels as they use metric tyres you can no longer get sadly
I picked up a CD set full of "80's car songs" from HMV for around £5. CDs are definitely more user friendly than tapes as one can skip tracks! I wonder if it's possible to have both a tape and a CD player. My dad's "modern" 2005 Volkswagen has that.
Ah that's brilliant and sounds like terrific value for money in all fairness! Great! :)
You need a cassette player in this car. Proper 80’s😅

I did have one fitted until recently but its packed up and started chewing up my cassettes, so the player needs repairing, CD player and some 80’s music on CD will do for now 😎😎👍
Is the clothes peg to hold the choke? I had this on my 1980’s mini
@@b4tm4nrubin33 It sure is! ☺️
I’ll be replacing the choke cable soon when I can
@@DanLTjoe the problem on my mini choke was there is a nut behind the dash which I couldn’t tighten properly so every time you turned it to lock it the whole thing would turn so a peg was ideal 😅
