I hope you are doing well in quarantine and keeping SANE! I did this style 4 weeks ago and kept them in for 3 weeks. I loved it. I actually enjoyed the process and it was the perfect protective style to keep my hair in check. Otherwise, let's me honest, I probably would have ignored my hair during this time. Understandably, we are more important issues on our minds lately, so it was great not having to worry about my hair.

I just spent 10 hours doing the micro twists(for the first time)and they look great,i'm a teenager and this is the first time i actually did my own hair besides when i wear a puff or an afro.My mom just came home and is so proud of me,this channel is really helping me do cute easy styles for my hair besides cornrows and braids(for the life of me I can't figure those out)and also how to properly care for my hair:)

I had to come back to this video to say that you inspired me to put my hair in mini twists and they actually came out so beautiful. I was surprised because I have fine hair so I thought it would look a mess but NOPE. I encourage any ladies who haven't already to give this a try. Put on 2 good movies and do it!

I immediately put mine in a ponytail to keep it stretched
I carefully placed my hair in a bonnet when I sleep to keep them for going all over the place AND I didn’t use a shower cap when I showered so it was like a reset button each night. They did look messy for me after a week or so but I am home so I didn’t care ❤️
The way I keep mine neat is keeping it moisturised and laying it with a satin scarf. My hair draws up due to the dryness.

Yes, I love the Tangle Geezer brush!! I have fine hair that gets easily tangled, so it really works well for me. And I'm inspired by your twists, so will have to give it a try. They are so lovely on you.

That will most likely be my style as well. A bun or up in the front & hanging in the back. I think i may do my twists a little larger though.
My hair is done in bigger & thicker but about the same length. I am 14 months natural & my hair is growing in nicely. Put twist in I thought until wash day but I'm going to rock them until......when I take them out going to twist again, great summer style, with many benefits..health & growth are major ones ++

My shrinkage is a BEAST! I think half the battle is also CONFIDENT! My hair would look cray some day but I was like I’m real cute so idc ❤️

You could consider refreshing the front 2or 3 rows to get an extra 2-3 weeks out of them. I do it often and l like it because the edges look fresh while the rest maintains its body

I went from doing this stye with extensions (practicing during qtine) to needing a break and having my hair breathe on its own/wanting to be able to massage my scalp further. To loving this style and gaining the confidence to finally get locs! I feel so playful with it and I like the styles you came up with! I'll use them for my zoom meetings to make it look like I got ready, haha

I run my brush under running water or put water in the sink dip the brush in water as you pick it up tap or shake the hair will loosen up and make it easy to grab ! It works for 4 me 👍🏾 good luck sis.💕
I did mini twists for the first time a couple weeks ago when I went out of town and I knew I didn’t want to get up and comb my hair everyday. I had the same energy as you at the end. They are so freeing and cute. I just got some more done at the salon and I’m so in love because my roots are snatched! I’m scared to get it wet tho cuz the ones I did only lasted a week before they got too frizzy for my liking.

I did my mini twist a week and a half ago for the very first time, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and I LOVE it!! I decided to do this for an entire year and see how well it grows!

I just did mini twists for the first time too, and I'm absolutely shook! I have fine 4c, low to medium density hair, and thought this style would look like a scalpy, hot mess on me. Turns out, I've never looked cuter! Haha! And it's so easy to maintain. I think I found my new signature hairstyle.

That type of tangle teezer shred the ends of my hair over time. I lost less hair when I used it on soaking wet hair with conditioner and a lot of slip. Oh I have fine 4c hair normal to thick density.
MsNaturale Michelle thank you for stating your hair type! I used it on went hair as well (right after I washed) and so far so good. The over time part scares me though so I don’t use it often 😫

My tip for taking out all of the hair from your brush is just by puting a napkin on the brush before you detangle so you can just pick it up afterwards and not have to pick the hair one by one 😊

It was super easy! I just twisted my hair in the opposite direction and they came right out. I will see if I can incorporate a little footage in upcoming videos

The take down is easy if you hair is moisturized. I try to moisturize the day before the take down.
The twisting method determines the take down. Make sure the sections are equal makes it easy. Plus you will end up with a beautiful twist out
I always struggle with parting my hair but now I've realized I've been going about it incorrectly for my hair type so thank you for this video.

@@tiaaaliya80 what's your hair type like? I know some people with loose curls like 3a have a harder time keeping their twists from unraveling. Try braiding half an inch from the root, then twisting the rest of the way down, and braiding the very last part down. Use a hair butter or holding product to try to have better stay.

This has been my style since the beginning of the year. I can go about 17 days before I'm sick of them and I have to re-twist. I use Melanin products as well!

I do this style once a year and this is also how I kicked off quarentine. In this style you can almost feel every strand of hair. I do blow dry first though because my hair is way too thick to do it curly.

It honestly wasn't bad at all! I just twisted my hair in the opposite direction and the twist came out. SO IMPORTANT to not borrow hair though. x

Mine is less dense too but i stretch as i go along then put it all in a bun with a middle part and tie it down flat to dry. It actually looks like I blew it out until you look closely...
I hate hate hate mini twist they take forever to take down. Regular to medium small is as far as I will go.
