... So the president builds walls to keep out space bears, yet he doesn't think space exists. Are these just normal bears that also just happen to have the ability to go to space and back? Are they magic or something? Can you harness their power for space? Oh well, an outstanding mission more than pays for my interest for the day.
Cptn. Viridian Perhaps they do, but the president doesn't believe in space so perhaps he thinks they come from Kussia. The space bears could be agents of the kraken aswell.
"entirely devoid of recreational snacking": Kill me now. Wait, I was expecting you to just jettison the ore. You mean to say opening the doors of the submersible's cargo bay actually enabled ascent? Wouldn't flooding a sealed compartment, replacing gas with fluid, only increase the density and prevent this? Thank you, KSP physics. And thank You for showing an electric propeller ascent from Eve. I was expecting that as an evolution from your previous video. :)
Eve's waters are actually less dense than the atmosphere, but are are held down by their high magnetic attraction to the Kore. The reason the craft didn't sink at first was because of surface tension. I think that covers everything.
I have an amazing idea for a new mini series for you. Do an Easter egg hunt, exploring all the planets and their Easter eggs, In one or two episodes a planet, and tie it all together with an amazing story line your great at creating. Also, don't forget to visit one or two magic boulders they recently added to KSP.
The TH-cam Phantom Official An update a while back recently destroyed the original magic boulder, so in a recent update they added it back, in a way. Basically asteroids have a 1 in 6 chance of being a magic boulder. These boulders have a similar broken texture like the original, but none of the weird properties of the original. Also they now come in different colors too. Check out Scott Manley's video, "Returning the Magic Boulder to its rightful place" to see more.
how heavy was the craft upon take off on eve? lightest i could do was just under 6 tons. however that was in 1.1 , they improved the rotation physics for 1.2, i suspect 4/4.5 tons could be done
MrNuclearturkey I'll have to check after work, I feel like it was right around 6... the propeller engine was rather overbuilt, and could almost lift the base as well.
I remember a while back somebody suggesting an Eve sub in the comments of one of these videos, and I said it wasn't possible. Glad to see you've proven me wrong. You're basically the new Abyssal Lurker, you know that?
ThalassoShip! My Greek father once told me of a legend of a man irresistably attracted to the sea -- "Thalassa! Thalassa!" he quoted in a thrilling tone. :) I always think of Tolkein's "Beware the sea, Legolas!" No doubt it was a shout-out to the myth. I have to say I feel a pull when I stand on the sea shore, though not that strong, thankfully! :)
Did you use the NERV engine as a heat shield when going into Eve's atmosphere? How did you mange that? I've been trying to do that same thing, but each time my vehicle explodes. :( Any hints or tips would be an enormous help. Maybe even a rough idea as to the altitude you set your Pe at maybe? Good video!
I've used better time warp in the past, but haven't reinstalled it for the most recent version. I prefer to do burns on normal speed and speed it up in the video editing because it is more accurate. If I have to do really long burns I would reinstall it.
Thank you. I am already looking forward the next episode. What will it be, a solar powered Moho expedition, or a space race, or showing the president that there are no bears i space (but there might by Krakens), or something completely different? No matter what, I am sure I will be both impressed and amused.
Good idea, I will use Ambient Light Adjustment for the next video. For your contribution, enjoy this exclusive sneak peak at the next installment: i.gyazo.com/91cf44afcbcd19d0a5d26376847abdd3.png
+Bradley Whistance (EvermoreAlpaca) It never happened, They are the "theoretically it has enough DeltaV but I'm too lazy to test" Now I have enough motivation to build and test a real one...
Bradley Whistance The propellers can bring something up high enough for normal engines to be effective without huge fuel tanks, making it easier to ssto....

Every video is better than the last. This is honestly one of my favourite channels.
“The craft was not the most elegant craft the KSP had ever produced” still, it’s godly compared to any of the tin cans I’ve ever built
your tin cans are good, compared to my "weird things"

They are bears smart enough to believe in space, so the president wants to keep them out.
ChasterProductions But they also do live in space as well. In a previous expedition Bills snacks were stolen by space bears.
Cptn. Viridian Perhaps they do, but the president doesn't believe in space so perhaps he thinks they come from Kussia. The space bears could be agents of the kraken aswell.
ChasterProductions I agree. But if he's building a wall then he probably thinks they are from Kexico, not Kussia.
Cptn. Viridian oooo good point
A "Human Space Program?" Well, that sounds like a load of shit. I'll bet they haven't even landed on Duna yet!
Joldsaway XDDDDDD
I bet there's even silly Kerbals making videos on it and talking about playing Kerbal Space Program in the game...
I have to say, Earth Space Program was a pretty fun game, what are your views fellow Earthlings?

Ghost Fox well I had messing with you little shits just trying to find a way to destroy your planet kerbin
Bill found robo tugs “homework” folder
It has been 5 years, but here you go. The homework folder on my computer is entirely composed of photos of the MiG-25's engines.
Dude, you are one of the craziest Kerbal engineers I have ever met. I love your Robotug and Bill series very much, and they are inspiring.
At 20 Books in, Bill has got to be the oldest Kerbal in the Space Agency. Here's to his endurance!
Is brandley taunting hazardish? Hazardish's underwater eve rocket was like 1kiloton.
1kiloton? My mun rocket was 3.5kilotons!
But didn’t that go to 3 other planets. Kerbin, Laythe and Tekto
@@diamondmcgaming2866 tekto?
Is that from a mod?
A kiloton is a nuke measurement not weight

b/c KSP physics :P
Science.

Andrei Federov
Wow, the fluid is actually less dense? I've spent very little time at Eve. Good to know!
He was making a joke =)
Very clever eve lander, bravo on the propeller power acent
gotta love prop engines

Truly a master of rockets and film making
You are the smallest and one of the best video maker in my opinion. keep doing what you do
That submarine was insanely cool, I never would've thought of that!
0:01 *THE ORIGINAL SPINNER*
The helicopter take off from Eve was downright brilliant. I love this channel.
I'm impressed: 52 tons, and you even had significant amounts of fuel left on both the launch and transfer stages.

Wait, where are these MAGIC BOULDERS? Seriously, where are they? There was nothing about any MAGIC BOULDERS in the katch notes.

Holy crap that spinning thing looks amazing.
Using the propeller to get off the surface of eve made my jaw drop. Seriously good work there.
Looking at the monstrosity I have designed to attempt an Eve surface rescue.. I don't feel so clever now.
What bearing did you use in the eve ascent vehicle? I'm asking it because there are different designs.
how heavy was the craft upon take off on eve?

The MrNuclearTurkey approach to Eve, I see.
Dude, you are cool
0:59 SO GLORIOUS!
Snacks sold to pay for the mission? That's dedication! I'm saying this as someone who has just embarked on slimming for the first time in my life.
Good video!
0:24 ok I want one 🤣🤣
Hi there, could you tell me what are the music you used please ?
How did you avoid the explodification of your parts due to pressure? did you just disable that feature?
if you are referring to the journey to the bottom of the explodium sea, ksp doesn't seem to simulate pressure
Check the difficulty options. It's there
Nothing was changed in difficulty settings, and it never presented an issue during the mission or testing.
Interesting that even the deep sea EVA didn't Kill Bill
I think it's only on from hard onwards
Hi, you could also check out better time warp! I love your ion engine missions and you can warp through the a long burn in a few minutes!
I've used better time warp in the past, but haven't reinstalled it for the most recent version. I prefer to do burns on normal speed and speed it up in the video editing because it is more accurate. If I have to do really long burns I would reinstall it.

I do believe this is the best series
That's not the real Bill, the REAL Bill would never reach into a snack fund to fund anything other than snacks.
Just ... unbelievable ....🤷♂️
amazing channel, amazing video, amazing content
Why is there red numbers in the altimeter when underwater or below sea level / datum level?
James Moton To show it is minus that altidue, basically instead of a minus sign they made it red
James Moton its depth
Incredible...just...incredible..
.
10:54 bill weighs 207 pounds. how did he get a job as a kerbalnaut?
Maybe because he has spacesuit on?
still don't understand, how did you make teh propellors, are they stock?
They are stock. There are a few neat ways to make stock motors/bearings.
You should do one where Bill does encounter the Space Wall.
9:05 does the mission time reset when you go back to the space center?
Because of how the parts are attached, the stage that detached counts as a new vessel.
Which recorder do you use for your videos?
I'm still so confused about the physics of those propellers...
I can't wait until an astronaut puts a geocache on Mars
Joey Egleston I don't think you understand the limitations of geocaching. It's not even possible to put one on the Moon.
atheist45 I was joking, dear.
That ship looks really cool
Meu caro, ri demais aqui na parte que você escreve que o presidente não acredita que o espaço existe. Muito bom o vídeo.
Obrigado!
How did you make the disc car?
Capsule.
Reaction wheels.
Girders, 8x symmetry.
This was great! You are genius.
I get the impression you're not the biggest fan of our new God-Emperor Krumpf. Can't quite put my finger on it though.
How about the wall? That's going to be a LOT of koncrete!
I really love your videos!
That spacecraft is just... a monstrosity. xD
how the heck did you land back at KSP.... with no control surfaces except 'doors'
Wouldn't it be more mass efficient to use a radiator?

I mean, Krumpf may not be the most informed of Kerbals, but those space bears are a real threat. They took Bill’s snacks, for crying out loud!
