After having Reason for so many years, I decided to seriously study it when Reason 12 appeared. This tutorial is great.

I am complete beginner and I was overwhelmed by the tutorial from Reason themself. Your step by step tutorial is perfect ! Thank you so much for taking the time to make and share it !

This is really great! I appreciate that you assume that we have no previous knowledge and walk us through every part of the process step by step! So many other teachers online will have set up their racks etc. before the video and then you are left scratching your head on how to even start doing what they're doing lol

This is the easiest REASON 12 tutorial I've found, easy to understand. Alot of folks shouldn't be teaching at all, thanks so much,

Nice. Very nice!. I used to teach this sw years ago (20 yrs ago!) but after so many versions later, I wanna start back from square one, and not miss a thing. That's what I appreciated with your tutorial. You'd cover something, and THEN go into the other two or three ways that someone can adopt to be more efficient at it.

Thank you thank you thank you. This is exactly what I needed. I cannot begin to describe the level of frustration I was experiencing. You broke this down in a way that allowed a complete beginner like me to feel productive. I appreciate this so much and am so excited to push forward in my creative journey.

Hi, I'm considering a professional DAW (actually I'm using REAPER 6 and Ableton Live 11 Lite), but I'm seeing Reason 12 isn't friend about VST plugins (in particular - I've read somewhere in Reddit - the VST3 plugins aren't supported). Steinberg doesn't support VST2 since 2018 (and doesn't deliver VST2 licenses to new developers). Many plugins will are unusable, be sure it's a weak point for Reason 12. Also, I'm using Komplete Kontrol S61 MK2, but it seems unknown as surface control... As non-professional I'm am (CM is a pure hobby at home), it's a significant investment, so be sure I'm hesitating. However, this video is very good, thank you.

Use reason to create the song and then export into a DAW for further work and mastering.

    • @leftyrhymes9880
      @leftyrhymes9880 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@thegroove2000 I believe that you can record vocals as well, just remember XLR mics stay hot, USB are only good for POD cast, maybe background muddiness, everything you need is in one spot.

Thank you for this. I have been working in Reason for a few months now. I do get lost often. So I thought maybe if I just go through the tutorials one by one it will work out better! Also, I have been working in Ableton for about 3 years so some of the things are the same! One question. I don't understand why I get it to synch with my midi controller and then it forgets it so often and I have to do it again! Any thoughts on why this is happening?

Since Reason 5 it has become an incomprehensible mess to me. Reason used to be a user friendly easy to use software. Now they seem to have gone out of their way to make it as user unfriendly as possible! Looks like I'll be sticking with Reason 5.
(this is not a criticism of your tutorial btw! Cheers)

I assumed as Reason 11 works on Windows 8, that this would too. It doesn't.

So this is the thing: I have 2 Reason licenses: one Reason 10 and one Reason 11.
I purchase an upgrade of Reason 12 to go towards my Reason 10.
As I have always been doing since record, (upgrading the older version).
However Reason would only upgrade my version 11 stealing away my version 10 because they are saying it is in my same account and they do not want to operate like that anymore.
This is unethical and even unlawful. Many years and $$$ investing in this platform and now they act careless with their Lawal customer's..
They have given me a extremely bad experience. I have been Lawal with this software, buying everything legit. And investing on it. I think it's time to leave it behind.
