You saw it in Michael Jackson, Prince, Tina, Bruce, and Sammy Davis Jr. They had/have (those who are still alive) to keep you in awe and be mesmerized with just a stare, a look, their posture, and even sweat. A perfect example in this case is this...watch as Tina turns her back and simply rocks back and tilts to the left(her right) and begins the first verse...it’s clean, wicked, sexy and edgy in the space of 3 seconds. That’s what I’m talking about. Most artists...98% of them will never be able to do that. So when you talk about being a diva, please do not call the Beyoncé’s, the Rihanna’s, the Madonna’s and the Celine’s and the Whitney’s in the same breath as Tina ok. Let’s call it as it is. She’s simply the best!
Every time I watch this video, and other Tina Turner high energy numbers, I always flashback to the classic song "Turn the Page" by Bob Seger when the lyrics say: "Out there in the spotlight You're a million miles away EVERY OUNCE OF ENERGY You try to give away" Love you, Tina... Your music has made you immortal for all time!
See the security jumping like crazy. Cause Tina certainly had NOT talked to them about jumping down two damn meters, and then going right into the crowd. That was so awesome! Love it!
