- This is my first ever campaign / lets play. To add a twist to the campaign I've used the SPQR. I hope you guys enjoy. In this episode I declare war on all the other Roman factions.
My channel is normally full of Online games, so i thought I would mix up a little by bringing you a fun campaign. Please check it out!

Good ol times when you could unlock all factions, now you can't even buy them all.
Lol... then you haven't been keeping up on the modding... :P
With a Savegame editor you can even change faction during a game to play against your previous self :P

You can unlock it if zou go in data than world than compaign than imperial compaign and than open descr_start copy all unplayeble to playeble,you get it

I actually got confused when I played as SPQR and other Romans started to attack me. I thought SPQR is the equivalent of the Papal States in M2TW.
@@seanfernandolopez9139 i know i'm 6 months late, but the problem is that you were never meant to play as the SPQR, so the game gets really confused and messes up alot of things, like how the senate and the senate offices options crash your game because you're not playing as the house of julii, brutii, or scipii

but in the end it is the julii family in real life though Octavian caeser later renamed Augustus that ruled the empire. until Nero ended the line.

I'm bad at this game, so I will share my initial success, not using this method, but by using the understanding I got from this video. I wouldn't be able to formulate what I did if it weren't from what I learned from this video.
So the uploader is correct, whatever you do, those 3 Roman factions are going to fight you, most of the time, in unison.
Here's what I did; I immediately buit a port, then I recruited ships, after that I took all of my troops and boarded it on the ship, leaving just one unit so Rome won't be out naked.
Carthage is pretty aggressive so they will move their troops out of their settlements. The moment they have a bare amount of army on Carthage, immediately take them, after that, you can take Carthiginians other settlements. But before you take the other settlements, destroy every buildings you have on Rome (because by that time you are already in debt, and you need the money) and then bring your diplomats to any of the 3 Roman factions and "sell" Rome to them (I sold mine for 2k denarii to Julii).
This way, you will be safe, you will lose the settlement that is only bleeding money, you will get money for selling Rome, and you will be relatively safe, since you're almost at the edge of the world, with Numidians as your neighbor. It took about 15-20 turns before I got attack (and it was Scipiis) by that time I already have 60k, and by the time I got the island of Syracuse, I already have 90k. It's true, the only way to win this is to kill the Romans.
Remember, I'm a bad player, so you probably can do a better job than me, and if you're a newbie, you can follow this path pretty easily

Cant we recruit legionary cohort and the other marius troops as the spqr?
Riad Assi Yes, but one of the other roman factions needs to activate this themselves in their capitals, S.P.Q.R cannot do this themselves

i remember when i first got this game i was attacking every 2 turns and not retraining my troops and just recruiting new ones, so later in game everyone i was facing had 5-9 chevrons n my troops were fresh so didnt work out to great... btw mate what mod are u using if u dont mind me askin i kno this is old but maybe still check it
Brad Rosser There's no mod, all I have done it to unlock the SPQR as a playable faction.

Maybe depends on how annoying my laptop fan gets. If its too loud for recording then yes if not then no. However, I do have some videos backed up. Also I'll get the others in my channel to upload some stuff. Won't be RTW stuff though.

Get a can of compressed air if its just dust, will help shift a fair ammount dude, or if not do what i do and get a straw, aim it and blow, same effect :P

idk why did the one of the roman AI Allies just betrayed u when u playing as the SPQR faction like how did that actually works when u played one of the different Roman Factions and u cant have a war with ur Roman Allies when u need get full Conquer Empire to Fight the Scipii and Brutii and SPQR Romans.
How were the julii able to attack? dont they have the superfaction_senate string in the descr_strat??
+mikey robinson I didn't change anything with the data folder apart from making the SPQR a playable faction. WHen I use them the other Roman factions will attach after a couple of turns.

Strange, wonder why when you play as julii for example the brutii and scipii wont attack the senate
what i mean is if you play as SPQR and you attack a roman faction does it remove the superfaction_senate string in descr_strat

My game crashes when I play as SPQR
Dont ever press "The Senate button" it crashes the game since you play as SPQR
How i can choose SPQR camp. Whitout press button ?

@@henrichartimovic7233 You have to edit game files. thinks its in data and data or factions files. You find SPQR under unplayable and you have to write SPQR under the playable and delete spqr from unplayable. Google it in case and save often - and Dont press the "Senate button in game" it will crash. It might also crash at any time or before/after any battles
when you have started a game as SPQR, save and then click any button/option down right to test which one will crash the game, Senate option/tab will crash it, maybe others will also. Then never click it again(press was probably a bad word) @Henrich Artimovic
You don't have to attack all Roman factions because you are SPQR which means you are leader of all Roman. They don't attack you if you attack them
EOW Enemy of World0 When i played as the SPQR the romans attacked within 5 turns, so I thought i would attack them first with my big army.
Well. Sometimes the Roman spy looking at your cities... They can't Attack you if they got a chance... Look. I got SPQR but they didn't attack me for long time. More than 50 turn.

Yea, you should really fight every battle cause the casualties are always higher if you auto resolve, I think it's more immersive doing it all yourself, plus you get higher chances for traits, retinue and man of the hour's if you fight every battle oh and also less retraining you have to do so less money spent

wana know about a cheat which is not a cheat? use just 6-9 generals(Romans) and u can kill 2700+ enemy troops including urban cohort...made my game easy

What is the meaning OF SPQR?
English translation is The Senate and People of Rome. Latin is Senatus Populus que Romanus.

How to get SPQR?
Don't know if you found out how. There is a video up on TH-cam that shows you how to change the 'notepad,' file to add every faction you want to unlock.
Senate : Feminism
Brutus : Pro election/ abortist
Scipions : Pro life
Julius : Comunist
Why play with cheats though? And why exterminate population? Don't like your way of playing, sorry man.

Dan yes but you can have a realistic agenda when playing. For example me as a Greek, I exterminate only the non greek cities when capturing them.
