Curious about your thoughts on Ao Yun? I also had Xige-Estate Jade Dove 2018 Cab here in Canada a couple of months ago. It was actually quite nice, it tasted a lot like Montes Alpha Cab with that hint of mint and green pepper on the initial palate.
Ao Yun is expensive for what it is, but it's the price to pay for a flagship Chinese wine. I had that Xige as well when I was there, it is quite obvious on the pyrazine, like moat chinese bordeaux blend. Compared to the Montes series, it seems to me to be higher in residual sugar and ripeness with a heavier use of new oak.

我喜欢贺兰山产区的酒,不过确实性价比不好,通常比较贵,不过冲他时国货,我还是经常买。而且我发现新加坡买到的一些贺兰山的酒,比国内售价还便宜。
国内溢价情况比较严重,国内是全世界葡萄酒整体最贵的市场之一。
上星期到酒吧看見酒牌上面有蒲昌的赤霞珠可以By Glass,本著試試國產酒的心態叫了一杯試試,一飲全是橡木碎的味道,連葡萄品種的味道都沒有😂
那是运气不好,与酒未必有关系。蒲昌赤霞珠我喝过,偏优雅型,还可以,但不出彩。
喝過蒲昌的Saperavi,第一次喝格魯吉亞Georgia的原生葡萄種
以它的超便宜價錢來說,果香跟複雜度的平衡很好很有驚喜。

希望這些莊主是真誠真意喜歡葡萄酒,而非抱有「外國人能做到的,中國人也一定行」的復仇心態,甚至是走資逃稅。兩年多前嚐過新疆天塞,帶有一股奇怪的燒焦氣味,比Napa山火有過之而無不及,和濃郁的生青味,帶來悖論般的奇異效果。翻查資料焉耆海拔並不高,紫外線不是很強烈,理應造成不了葡萄皮灼傷。除了釀製失誤,想不到其他具說服力的解釋。
