This is lovely. I have this same setup. It’s great except for the corner section. Opening the doors feels awkward and once they are open, it’s such a narrow opening to reach into the closet through. I have the same style of doors you do. I have three units on the long wall and then the corner unit on the adjacent wall and I’ve been trying to figure out a better door option. Possibly hinged doors on each end and sliding in between? I would be very curious to know if you’ve found the layout frustrating as well and if you have any ideas for improving the usability of that corner area.
Hi Thanks for the comment. I think IKEA didn’t think about this very well. There were some others options to improve corner unit design. Currently there’s nothing in IKEA range to address this problem. But there may be some IKEA hacks to improve it. The only thing I saw some people do is that they leave that corner unit without a door, exposed as a shelf unit. But this does not fit all designs and applications.
Can you please share the link to the corner unit with the more shallow side? It appears the unit is 22" but the side on the right only comes out about 13" or so. Thanks
