BIKEPACKING THE PEAK DISTRICT

A real bikepacking adventure takes place in the Peak District with an overnighter above Howden Reservoir, a meander around Derbyshire, along the High Peak Trail and then zoom into Nottinghamshire along the Southwell Trail and ending up for another night under the stars along the NCN64 near Fledborough.

Haha watching Watkins - classic! I invested in quite a bit of Tailfin, I use the tail pack like you, and a pair of the panniers, I have the smallest 1.7l cargo packs in the front fork so the steering doesn’t get too weird - apparently the tail pack makes you more aero according to tests! The rubber straps are a bit of a faff - main thing is to make sure the straps are sitting in the clips on the cargo bag so it can’t slip down, the panniers are much less of a faff, I might take one of those rubber straps to a pet shop and see if there’s a canvas dog collar the right size 🤔
