This has totally inspired me to ride the route next summer. Not far from home in southern Lincolnshire, nice and flat(ish) and a nice mix of terrain / scenery. Would you consider putting a video out sharing your hints and tips on what to take / how to pack for a bike packing trip?
Great. Yeah I've done some in the past and will continue to do more. Whatever the season as well - just cos it's cold doesn't mean we have to stay indoors - we'll not all of us 😀
Brought back some great memories of when I rode this in May this year, starting from Thetford. Looks like you had some much better weather than me; luckily I'd opted for hotels, don't like to even think about wild camping in heavy rain
If there's a hint of rain the tent would be coming along with me! Wild camping in the rain = sleeping in a bus shelter which isn't so luxurious assuming you find one when the heavens open!
I rode the Rebellion Way in June, staying at campsites. Lovely route, but it was a bit muddier and a lot more puddles than when you did it 😂 Only bit I didn't like was the bit through the National land outside Wells. Steep climb on single track through a muddy wood. Not my thing. Thanks for sharing the video. Really enjoyed it.
Great video Richard and that route is now on my list. Regarding your rain jacket in the bottom of the bag, I bet like me you forget there is a zip in the side of the Tailfin to get in quickly to the bottom 🤣 Quick question regarding parking up and leaving your van for three days, do you not worry about it at all?
I always forget about the zip pocket Paul yes, however I also stuck inside the dry bag lol As for the van, initially yes, but once I start moving I forget about it quickly.
I'm thinking about doing the exact same route you did and will most likely park at the same spot. I hope my car will be safe, if not, I'll blame you 😜🤣

Rebellion Way is on the left.
I prefer to leave the creature comforts at home in Summer. Other times of year I'll carry another dry bag stuffed with tent and pegs underneath the top tube. Lucky it stayed dry and relatively mild.
Cracking video. Thanks
Thanks for watching. It's a great route.

Wife and I bikepacked this last summer, mostly good weather, loved it. Thanks for posting. 👌
What route did you ride? It's such an amazing feeling, I've had 2 bikepacking journeys now. The pedders way, & the north downs way.
Glad you enjoyed it! Weather always plays a massive part in out adventures outdoors.
Great content Richard love watching your adventures , keep adventuring
Thanks for watching. ❤️

Fantastic video Richard. The views were brilliant. Some history round that way.
Thanks 👍
Thank you Richard
Glad you enjoyed it!

That doesn't ring a bell. Was that through Holkham itself? I don't recall any mud, steep or off road stuff around those parts.
@@BikepackingAdventures it was Beeston Regis Heath
Great route Richard thanks for sharing Top man
Glad you enjoyed it, it was certainly an enjoyable place to ride. Quiet.
Really enjoyed this video.👍
Thanks Jez! Nice laid back adventure than of late.
Excellent, I've got this on my to do list. Thanks for sharing!
Love Norfolk, some great gravel there as well compared to our Lincolnshire bridleways..
Loved it!
Good video
What size tyres do you have on that bike?

I'm looking on Google maps and can't see any parking areas near where you started/finished on Strava 🤔

Thanks Richard, although that doesn't look like a good place to leave a car for two nights 🤔
The order of some sections seems wrong to me. Other than that I enjoyed the video 👍
Sometimes I switch things around for better view... OR more likely I simple made a mistake =) Thanks for watching =)
Theres nothing on that bike, mines always packed to the hilt. Weighs a ton.

You could have won a speedboat! 🤣
why does this make me think of a gameshow?
