As someone who've been playing and painting Zombicide Black Plague for 7 years i would suggest to paint regular zombies with green cloth, fatties with yellow cloth and runners with red cloth. Zombicide is a fast game and that would help players judge the danger on the table fast and without confusion.
I don’t know if adopting a traffic light color scale is needed, but I do recommend using a single visible color somewhere to mark runners so they can be distinguished from walkers. Fatties are bigger so hard to miss, but runners can get visually grouped up with walkers if you aren’t careful. I do use red for runners and avoid that color in my walkers and fatties.
Yes that saw blade will cut thru ur bone. But if youd like to keep the bases to reuse on another project. Itll take time but you can also use an exacto knife takin ur time and slowly one bit at a time cut under the feet in small short passes to carefully cut them away from the base to be reused later. Ive had to do this after adding my own type of terrain feature to the base then regluing the figure back on over the various terrain.
If you are playing zombicide I don't recommend cutting the bases of to put them on clear bases. I paint the bases different colors to represent each type because when get 50 plus zombies on the Board it's hard to keep track of which is which.
Got into Zombicide back in 2014 with their Season 3 Kickstarter and have not really stopped since, really a good Co-op game that you can get everyone in on playing and not have to worry about someone having to be dedicated to the Zombie player. And as soon as they put out Black Plague on Kickstarter I had to get it since I started out with Hero Quest way back when as a kid, and I got the Massive Darkness 1 and 2 since it was even more in the Fantasy Realm and had more than just Zombies. I even started printing off a ton of Dungeon Blocks to build out Zombicide/Massive Darkness Boards, and have been a fan of Dragons Rest for many years and the Hero Quest/Warhammer Quest/Terrain that is on the Patreon.
I wonder if these zombies would benefit from a different slap chop combo? Like a prime of deep red/purple instead of black, and then a dry brush of pale green. That would get you away from the weird harshness you're getting with the crusader skin going on black/white slap chop.
vous ne craigniez pas que la peinture sous les pied "casse" avec la super glue? ça ne serrait pas mieux de coller directement le plastique nue? super job sinon!
I’ve played the original game and a couple of its expansions. It’s usually a pretty slow start but it only takes about 4 turns before you’re completely inundated by the zombie population if you’re not careful
All Zombicide are awesome! Black plague and Green horde of course but also 1st an 2nd edition with modern setting! I really love all their minis! I have all of them (except the future one because I don't like the setting) you really should try them out!
I have games like my Star Wars Imperial Assault I put on Clear bases as well as few others then some I have not, BUT I have bought Clear for my HQ which I still have yet to paint, I tend to like to have them all when I paint, and Now Im waiting on Ogre Horde. ... But I do have a lot of Zombicide, Sadly started getting them well after Black Plague, How did you get it, isnt it out of print ? Oh and I do love the Village of Zombie idea, that would be a Blast.
Just curious what is your your average time for replacing a base with a clear one? I'm mad enough to start doing that myself (on minis with boring, flat bases), as I really like the look.
This is so cool! I dont like the bases either. I usually try to base all my minis on the oldschool HeroQuest squares bought from Zealoutminiatures. Could you please share the brand of your dremel tool, it looks super effective in getting rid of these bases. Thanks a lot :)
If speed paints/contrast pints had been a thing when I painted my Black Plague zombies it defnitely would have gone a lot faster. If you like the Zombicide game, you should try out the Green Horde version. Zombie Orcs seeem right up your alley!
It seems you misses the Health and Safety Course on using that tool. Always cut away from yourself. Better still, use a vice of some kind. Very nicely painted figures though.
Sry couldn't get her early, Brother's kids had to be taken to ER, and guess who got elected to babysit? Zombicide is all about synergy, some players find a niche and become OP with set ups, but the first few games you are going to get stomped by turn 6 easily, esp when a Hulk or 3 Brutes are on the table. The speed of zombicide depends on the players and zombie linked, which USUALLY doesn't synergy adds another turn between a turn, between a turn. Some times a based hero / zombie monster will make a great boss.
Black plague is fun. Well all zombicide games are but it goes 0 to oh crap in 30 seconds. I found it to be a much fast paced game than the regular zed game
Zombicide has both speeds. Some games are faster, others are very slow. I've actually been playing solo a mission about an hour ago. It took me 2 hours and I've lost. 🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂ It was scene 5 from Night of the living dead. About timings... it's very uncertain. Depends on the mission. But zombicide is great for homebrew.
Christ, zombicide all in pledge on kickstarter is thousands of minis...i would never cut off all their bases...seriously my last Zombicide kickstarter was 13 boxes of minis
Please share and Subscribe as I would love to hit 100k subs before the end of the year, many thanks 🙂

I'm going to start painting my zombies, this is a great advice! Thank you.

I use the bases and base rim color to differentiate mine, but that won't work if you use clear bases 🙂
I made the mistake of painting them all various colors. Went back and repainted the bases to sort them by zombie type.
I had never thought of this. I will do it when I get around to painting my figures. (Don't have a lot of time and have too many figures to paint)
I love Black Plague! I slap chopped my zombies after watching your painting videos.

Yiss. Finally Zombicide Black Plague! You should also get Green Horde - ORC ZOMBEEZ
I was thinking this. I was surprised that he didn't start with Green Horde with his thing for Orcs.
How could anyone not love pre-built mini just mould lines, prime and paint
Clear bases all the way. When I saw you do it a few years ago I tried it and loved it.
I would love to see more Zombicide Invader slapchop videos
I think I'm going to use that technique for removing pudding bases it's brilliant
I’ve been playing zombicide 2nd e on and off for about a month. Probably one of the most fun and exciting games I’ve played in years now
Oh my... I have this in my shelf, and I've planned to paint it soooooo many times... your video is just on time! well done!

Do you have a link to the dremmely cuttery thing?
Just in time, all three of my zombicide Thundercats boxes just came in!

They remind me of a sports ball team. all in uniform colored outfits. ZombieBall?

I miss the rusty scratch built Orky dioramas from the early days.😢😂❤
A quick question about your bottle caps. Did you also primed them black and a drybrush with white before you put the color on?
Notsonut Club member here. Clear bases all ways! Clear bases or go home!
I’m with you on zombie movies..my wife looks at me and walks ways. She did binge watch The Walking Dead
Great video as always
I like the clear base idea. I love the way some of the painting pros do bases, but it's not for me. Not where my interests and talents lie.
Just curious what is your your average time for replacing a base with a clear one? I'm mad enough to start doing that myself (on minis with boring, flat bases), as I really like the look.

Or…..hold the spinning blade parallel to the base. 2 cuts. One under each foot. Done ✅

Zombicide is a really good game, really easy to get into 😃
I don’t like the clear bases, though. I feel like the minis isn’t finish 🙈
I feel the opposite, as I really like how you can see the actual game board art below. It makes it seem like they're really in the location.
@@Gamebent1 that makes sense :-)
