People always think the souls community is toxic when they say “git gud” but what people don’t realize is that there’s no secret to easily beat a lot of the challenge of souls. You just need to get better at the game.
I fought Midir 4 times and never took me more than 3 tries to beat him,i even beat him first try in one of my playthroughs,to me the only 2 bosses of ds3 that are hard every time you try them are Elfriede and Gael

Some sadness is part of life. Though, you in fact can do a lot about it. Depression is like stress. Stress is like inflammation. Eat healthy (learn what that does even mean ! - cut sugar, avoid alcohol, get a healthy amount of lipids, listen to what your body can handle etc - keto& intermittent fasting some might say), move, get some sun, be kind with yourself, get good in something, take care of your parents and loved ones. Be mindful about the time you spend in front of your screen. It's draining and insanely stimulating. Read a book, take every now and then a few days of the computer etc. It's all about the mindset in the end. But again, life is tough, there will be sadness. How can there be any happiness otherwise ?
Beating absolute radiance the legit way almost broke me. I spent a whole month doing the Pantheon of Hollownest, excluding the time it took to get this far in Godhome. I specifically remember mashing that attack button as hard as I could when the Void Entity popped open the moth's face. Probably one of the most satisfying yet malicious feelings I've ever experienced when playing video games.
It makes me soooo happy to see absolute radiance. That SOB of a boss fight made me think that drinking gasoline and swallowing a match would be more enjoyable
well this was a good video not like watchmojo but the thing is why did he put a dark souls 2 boss not a dark souls 3 coz dark souls 3 is way harder then about demon of hatred it is a very good contender but ashina takes the place coz he has moves like us is fater than us he also has 3 health bars is having a long ass spear that can reach far difference and did i mention he even has a gun that he can shoot from a long range so ashina is harder than demon of hatred (like come on ashina is the last and final boss the developers have thinked a thousand times before making him and hollow knight that whole game is different so i won't say anything about it

@@businessgamerprb5398 lol sorry that is isshin and no mist noble is not harder than isshin are you out of your mind coz if you think like that then the hardest one for you shall be corrupted monk lmao well every boss is at his own rage remember that chained ogre we fight at the start that is one of the hardest fights for beginners coz they have no decent swords or no good prosthetic tool and only 2-3 healing gourds so every sekiro boss fight is very hard remember that grandson of isshin his name was something the way of tomoe the son of genchiro way of tomoe there we learnt first time how to counter thunder then that butterfly lady that ( that old lady is too damn fast for her age) was a boss that made our reflexes better coz only 1 or 2 of her attacks and she was fast and agile as fuck she fully destroyed our posture so we needed to dodge her attacks any boss of sekiro has earned his/her place but the hardest ones are demon of hatred, corrupt monk the real one not the purple shadow of him, owl sekiro's master, guardian ape, the butterfly lady, mist noble, that something way of tomoe guy (grandson of isshin that we fight after 3-4 bosses at the start of the game), that giant Celestial Dragon, and 2-3 more i forgot their names coz it's been a long time i played that game like 8 or 9 months yeah that shichimen guy and that chained ogre(only for first timers and beginners) and also i'm sure that demon of hatred is harder than isshin and the mist noble in many ways like he has three health bars then he has a devastating fire damage so drink that gourd which decreases fire damage greatly so you don't die instantly in one attack by the attack damage and the flames and he jumps very high so you cannot see him in midair like how you can see the guardian ape in midair and he can jump at any place so it's random where he will land but there is an trick go very far away from him and he won't jump on you and there are very remember very limited ways to cheese him coz if 1 thing goes wrong his one hit can easily be able to kill you in 1 hit and if you could cheese demon of hatred then try dark souls 3 and ninja gaiden 1 and 2 but ninja gaiden 1 is a 90s game so you need a pc to play it search it on google and play it and 1 more reccomendation is god hand on hard mode here also you will need a pc or a ps2 pc emulator or a ps2 to play it and each game which i said is very fuckin hard in their own ways dark souls and ninja gaiden 2 are famous for being too hard and god hand is rated 1 or 2 by most critics coz it's too hard so just try these 3 games if you want any other game reccomendation for a ver yhard or rage game just @ me on your comment on this video and damn such a big ass comment i wrote have fun reading that comment of mine and peace out buddy
I have a funny story about the Orphan of Kos. On my very first time fighting him, like many others, I died many times. I ended up spreading my attempts to beat him out over a few days. On the final day, I made three attempts aaaand he still killed me. So I ran off, grinded Blood Echoes, leveled up my hunter, and came back to fight him for the final time. When I finally fought him for the last time, we kicked each others booty and I had about a quarter of health left and he was one shot. The crazy bastard slammed his placenta rapidly and reared up for the final slam and I lunged my moonlight sword at him aaand we killed each other. My heart fucking stopped because I had no idea if the game would register that as an actual win for me but thank god it did. Orphan of Kos, definitely one of the toughest bosses ever.
I was in a discord call with my friends almost the entire day trying to beat Absolute Radiance on Radiant difficulty. Needless to say, they were very confused when after countless hours I suddenly screamed of joy and left the call without another word.
Bro same. Also felt the same way after beating sisters of battle on radiance difficulty. Sisters of battle is easily my favorite boss fight in ANY game

Absolute radiance and nightmare grimm really give me an undescriable frustration. Even sigrun from god of war, they required you the inhuman reflexes to dodge the nonstop combo attack. Boy... that feel when I finally defeated them

I absolutely agree. With my agressive playstyle, the game forced me to not be so aggresive 😂 i died to millisecond windows from this boss more than any boss in any game
I’ve attempted pantheon of hallownest with all bindings for hours. I never even made it past traitor lord, at which point I threw the towel. Absolutely the hardest challenge I have ever faced in a game, maybe ever.
It's the worse. What makes it "hard" for me isn't the bosses themselves. It's the fact that if I die to Pure Vessel or Absolute Radiance I'll have spend another 40 or so tideouse minutes to get back there....again.
Hahaha traitor lord is the easiest boss for me. ppl just make the fight hard and complicated for them by jumping. When I fight him, i don't jump at all I stay very very close and hit him, when he swing I dash, when he jump I walk underneath him, when he did the big wave thing I take a step back and dash through it. He's very simple.
I also gave up. As much as I love Hollow Knight, fighting 40+ bosses is something I don't really find funny. Once I made it up to the Pure Vessel and died in like, 30 seconds. And doing it all over again it's just so tedious and annoying. The whole "Godmasters" thing felt so lazy and cheap in a game filled with beautiful content. For real, the only good thing about the DLC is the the Sisters of Battle fight. That boss is probably one of the most stylish thing ever.
Lol, it depends what weapon you use though. I used the saw spear and found him a fun, challenging boss, but I killed him second try. My brother used a slower weapon and spent hours trying to kill him. It really depends what weapon and playstyle you use
I unfortunately nearly beat her first try and it gave me a massive false sense of security. Got absolutely destroyed for the three hours following. Achieved victory a day later.

I still think it's a bit of a mistake from the devs to hide what seems to be the canon ending along with many great bosses behind such a tedious task. If you are gonna do it, I suggest just editing the pantheon room number using cheat engine to make it less annoying.
That Code Vein boss fight is a classic case of someone trying to recreate the Ornstein & Smough fight but not understanding what it was that made the O&S fight work in the first place.
Ornstein and smoug were easy compared to blade bearer and Cannoner, it only took me one try for O&S and 10 for B&C and I got lucky that Cannoner kinda glitches and wasn't targeting me

The strengths & weaknesses of the fast & slow enemy match each other so that they are difficult but fair if you utilize the right strategy. This code vein boss seems like it's very imbalanced & you gotta just hope some rng shit happens that let's you eventually get a win.
@@m_js5709 I think code vien was a better game in terms of more linear design and character creation and customizable classes whenever you wanted, I mean I loved that I can become a caster or heavy hitter whenever I saw fit, I think the levek system was better to, instead of leveling individual stats you simply level up all stats and the real damage comes from leveling your Codes, don't get me wrong dark souls is a good game but to he honest Dark souls 3 is the superior game technical wise, but my favorite is easily Sekiro there's just no competition there there just beautiful rthym to the game and bosses I will NEVER forget, I actually loved the demon souls remake as well but I could never beat dark souls 2, that's is a piece of shit game

@@m_js5709 I never liked the original demon souls, but when I played the remake it made me open up to the other soulsbourne games so went on to beat ds1 and ds3 and really appreciate hiw farm fromsofts has come, they truly get better with every games( except ds2). And I can't wait for elden ring, I'm currently playing Nioh 2 which is a pain in my ass and I'm hoping we get like a bloodbourne remaster or atleast a 60pfs patch
To beat Demon of Hatred somewhat consistently you’ll need to whip out that Golden Parasol (and guard against most of the flaming attacks that you cannot dodge) along with the Ceremonial Tanto for additional emblems. Use Malcontent in the last phase only.
That is exactly how I beat him the first time and I don’t think I could’ve done it any other way lmao. Fight ended with zero gourds, zero pellets, zero resurrections and zero emblems left. Even used a persimmon or something to heal myself once 💀
for me what fucked me up was that him getting far all the time so I only used shurikens to have that dash attack and get closer and that did all the three phases for me

yea but with that logic what about the final boss of the 999 floor dungeon in nioh. You have to beat NG++++ just to go past floor like 30 and theres tons of dual and triple boss fights AND you get a handful of debuffs for every boss fight and your heals are separate from outside of it. Granted most people have completely broken builds past NG but still. I haven't actually done it myself since I don't replay games

Honestly , I'm just glad Vergil made the list. Coming from someone who S ranked the majority of DMD mode and mastered his bossfight, I can definetly testify to how tough he still is, even after hundreds of hours. A single mistake and you can kiss a third of your health goodbye, the updates they gave him made his combo strings more deadly and even tho I memorised his moveset he can still catch me by suprise on occasion. That being said, great list and video as usual 😁
I went into DMC 5 thinking its combat system was more souls like and Virgil, despite me playing the game wrong, was pretty easy for me. Then I realised I played on easy mode with a bunch of upgrades I got bc of some sale.
@@fishnutz5196 for me the Nero version was piss easy even on DMD, I think that's mainly cause of how good I got with the Buster and how much I like to juggle enemies around in the air as Nero tho, which really came in handy . Gerbera is also borderline OP in that fight since it lets you dodge his attacks infinitely
While I won't say anything about DMD mode or higher difficulties above the norm, on Normal Mode I don't see it. Vergil maybe took me a couple of tries, but he would not be a top 10 hardest boss for me. Now OG DMC3... Now that was tough.
I've played all fromsoftare games with the exeption of demon solus, and the most difficult bosses for me were owl (second encounter) and demon of hatred form sekiro, and orphan of kos from bloodborne. The last one took me one too many hours... but the satisfaction was immense in the end
I just finished the gauntlets in sekiro and lemme tell you, Inner Father is a piece of shit. Honestly the hardest boss in the game in my opinion. Inner father trumps DOH and Inner Isshin. But the satisfaction when you beat the gauntlets is unmatched, give it a try..
@@dodosselewesi9132 Ayy i struggled too my first playthrough. I watched Vaatividyas tips on sekiro. But I can give you a quick few easy ones : 1. Spend some time farming exp and invest in some good skills. 2. Go out of your way to find all gourd seeds and Max out your health bar 3. When it comes to combat, the one tip that really helped me was instead of mindlessly spamming r1 when I wanted to deal damage "deliberately" hit R1. As in mindfully press it once at a time in quick succession so you can easily switch to deflect halfway if the enemy suddenly decides to attack you. 4. Keep playing. The more you play the more you get used to it and the more fun it becomes. Good luck fellow Shinobi!!

I honestly didn’t expect Absolute Radiance to be at the top, but I definitely don’t disagree with it. I remember beating NKG for the first time after 3 total hours of attempts and then immediately learning there was an EX version of Radiance that made NKG look like Zote from the Coliseum of Fools. Hopped on a one way train to F**k-That-Ville
NKG took me 8 hours to beat but Absolute Radiance took me 12 hours practice and beat her in hall of gods, i'm not even counting time i spent on Pantheon of Hallownest
Sigrun was the most difficult yet fair boss I faced this decade. Once I got into the zone I barely remember the battle, only the pure joy of beating her. It took me hours to beat her
THIS.you know her moves and all her tells they are learnable but if you dodge a second late or miss read a move as something else (which there's lots of oppurtunity for because of her bullet sponge ness) its over
I second this too, she's fair no bullshit hit boxes, no complicated moves, no hit sponge. Although she sometimes don't get stunned by runic moves but over all she's the fairest difficult boss compared to the others in the list. I can't count how many times she bashed my head to the ground, that shit was painful.
Maybe fromsoft games have spoiled Sigrun for me but when I'm thinking of good, fair and memorable bosses, no GOW bosses come to mind and that includes Sigrun. Sometimes you get lucky and stagger her to hit all your specials consecutively, other times she doesn't get staggered and you're standing there like a moron hitting thin air. That was more a flaw of the combat system rather than boss however. On top of that I thought she was quite easy if you are chaining specials plus using rage, plus having resurrection stones that start you off with full rage. (This isn't me using some meta way to beat her, it was my first time playing the game). Seems weird that people really rate her when there are so many better designed and more interesting bosses in the likes of Fromsoft games, hollow knight , cup head....even Doom
@@Beyondqqq I'm sorry but the amount of times that I died to a bosses weapons or projectiles clipping through walls make me never considering any fromsoft bosses as fair and I'm a huge Bloodborne, Sekiro fan. Also to be honest most of the "hard" bosses in from software games are just hard because their health bar is enormous and they hit like trucks. I don't consider them technically challenging they are more like mechanically challenging they are like a grind which me and other people love, to be frank with you only few bosses come to my mind that are really technically challenging but also those I wouldn't consider them as fair ,plus the amount of bosses that you can cheese in from software games is huge and the fact that you have to cheese a boss to beat it is a sign of 1) bad design 2) unfairness 3) or you're under leveled of course. (But even if you're decently leveled you still encounter most of the problems above) On the other hand Sigrun is the hardest Fair boss I have every faced she's not the hardest but she's the best overall boss especially if you played on "Give me god of war"(if you played on the normal difficulty she'd still kick your ass but you're missing a lot), she is technically hard not just the mechanics of the game, she hits hard but not too hard to make it unfair (or just for the hell of it to make it more "difficult"), she got zero bullshit moves, you can't cheese her and she got a decent hit box you have to play flawlessly to beat her or at least close to it. And to be honest I've never encountered your problems with her the only problem I faced was when I hit her with Runic move and she didn't got stun and that happened only once.
I'm so glad I mentioned Queen of the Valkyries from God of war. I was so proud when I first finished her and I played it from the startup in God of War mode. I love this game so much
My pride that I built through the game is buried in that arena, I never finished that fight. Its the only thing I have left to do and she hurt ma feelings...lol Maybe I will go back and re visit once I have a PS5 with 60FPS mode.
Demon of Hatred took me literally a whole night. I began around eleven in the night and with the sunrise I beat the demon and went to bed. But whenever I see the Orphan in the hardest bosses I wonder then how I beat him in the second try! I guess there's a nightmare boss for everyone. Mine was definitely Champion Gundyr. That bastard!
Yeah, difficulty is different for everyone. I oneshotted Midir, but struggle to this day against Pontiff. For Gundyr: I hated him for the longest time as well, but managed to beat him with a sl20 something character. Use dorhys gnawing. Its way easier to weave in spells between his attacks than attack him in melee, and the bleed buildup and damage it provides is insane against Gundyr. If you want extra easy-mode, summon the swordmaster. Hes fragile as fuck, yes. But I consistetly can kill Gundyr before he even dies. Should give you an image of how much damage dorhys does to him to outdamage his killing of the swordmaster.
So... Code Vein has the 'Depths' system, where-in you explore a mini-dungeon with a boss/group-of-enemies at each end, and the boss for the final 'Depth Map' is an even harder version of 'Blade Bearer and Cannoneer'... with an extra phase.
But as we all know the true hardest Boss is the two Black Yetis in the depths. I beat everything in this game Solo but i had to get a Companion for that one. Absolutely insane and harder than any Fight i ever had in any game.
I finished Cuphead, and eventhough Grim Matchstick (the dragon) can be quite a challenge, it is nothing compared to Dr Kahl’s Robot in my opinion. The screen gets insanely crowded in its final phase
George Washington bruh I wish. Sigma is literally my favorite game of all time. Only game I’ve ever beat on all difficulties. Took me like 3 hours to beat alma on master ninja lmao

I’ll always remember fighting Sigrun. I was on normal and just couldn’t do it. I turned the difficulty up to hard just to see what she’d be like. And managed to beat her on hard. Definitely one of my biggest achievements in gaming.

@@danielmarcanio7607 its not gonna be easy. But i advice you to use unbreakable strength deep focus quick focus grubsong. Reach her once in the pantheon and then just practice in the hall of gods. Be extremely passive don't chase after her if she came to you and there's an opening you can attack her. You have to fight this boss until you're comfortable. Let this boss drag as much as you want don't be too greedy
@@octoeight2362 I'm trying to beat her in radiant now that I've beaten all the other bosses in radiant, and let me tell you: there is a LOT of rng in the fight, which means that there are moments where you can be in the wrong place in the wrong time and just get hit by an unavoidable combination of attacks. Even then, this doesn't happen often, so beating her is mostly skill. The thing that I hate most about Radiance isn't the rng, it's the FUCKING 20-30 SECONDS OF INTRO THAT I HAVE TO WAIT EVERYTIME I DIE AND RESTART THE FIGHT
I remember when I finally beat sigrun when I was going for my 100% run of GOW. Took hours because I'm not the best at those games. Was such a sigh of relief when I got it done
Absolute Radiance is way harder, and this is coming from someone who has played all the Soulsborne games. Try beating it without taking ANY damage and with all bindings. Just to let you know it is almost impossible.
he is pretty hard for most veterans of the souls series and he is also hard if you are a newcomer to the series aswell but that being said if you can parry him he is piss easy but on the other hand if you can't parry him he can stunlock you, deal insane damage in the blink of a eye and he also can one shot you with most of his attacks. if you can parry he is easy but if you can't he is hard. it's all up to your ability to parry at the end of the day.
Erik The Elder Dragon DUDE I'VE only fought regular radiance and that was insane when I wrote my comment I had completely forgotten about her fight, thinking about it now you probably right
for anybody stuck on absolute radiance: use charms unbreakable strength, quick focus, deep focus and grubsong. after using this i went from being able to beat the boss perhaps once over 40 minutes of practice to being able to consistently beat it. you can heal two masks with the same amount of soul it’d take to heal one, and there are a few healing opportunities, namely the attack where she used three sets of light beams in a star pattern (18:01) camp her out. focus on dodging and only attack when she’s directly on top of you, it really helps, trust me
I go with unbreakable strength, mark of pride, sharp shadow, and quick slash. Plenty of opportunities to heal normally in the second major phase of the fight. The first part is pretty easy if you wait for Radiance to show her attack and then dodge the first part of it and hit her in in between them.
My tip for OoK is to be aggressive in phase 2 and take advantage of the fact that hitting recovers health. I realised this after a bunch of people on the boards who said they had an easier time with OoK than they did with O&S and when I questioned them, they said they basically just spammed R1. Lo and behold, I tried it and beat him immediately. Obviously you could just git gud and properly learn his attacks, but that's one reason I hate multi-phase bosses in Miyazaki games. Every time you fail, you have to waste all that time getting through phase 1 to try and learn phase 2, only to die in the first 5 seconds ...
@@Silentstorm174 I don't think I ever got hit by laurence. Although, my experience in the Bloodborne DLC was very unusual in that I was playing 99 arcane spellcasting. Blacksky Eye from safety as much as you like. I've replayed with several other character, but never did laurence again because I frankly didn't find him very interesting compared to Ludwig, Maria, and Orphan.
Orphan was awful in my first playthrough after going through multiple playthroughs I can get him down pretty easily but Lawrence is always a pain in my ass especially in NG+ cycles can nearly one shot you with some of his attacks and it feels like you just tickle his health bar. Real hardest boss for me is the Loran Darkbeast in depth 5 chalice dungeons with offerings. Idk if it was me having unlucky AI but every time I came through the fog gate he was mid air flying towards me doing a jumping attack and would one shot me as I came through the gate every time.
I beat the radiance in the normal story mode without too much trouble. But facing her in the pantheon after all those other bosses is just too great and undertaking for me this year. For some reason Zote the Almighty in all his glory really is the one giving me trouble
TRUE! for me zote is the real hardest boss in hollow Knight... It goes like this: 1- Pantheon 2- Zote 3- Path of pain these are the only three things I haven't beat in the game
DMC3's final Vergil fight is my favorite final boss of all time. Getting a modern redux of that, even if I like the original one a little bit better, was an absolute treat for me.
Am I the only one who struggles more with fighting DMC5 vergil with Nero? It just seems like Nero's moveset is not meant to keep up with the quick pace of Vergil for a majority of the fight
I thought it was very easy. When I look back on that fight, quality wise it was awesome, but I don't understand how someone found it difficult on Normal. I remember it only taking me maybe a couple of tries. OG DMC3 final Vergil though... Now there ya go.

Sigrun on GMGoW took me a whole weekend and it was the most glorious moment I've felt when I finally got her, so damn satisfying... I just wish there was an achievement for doing it... still worth it though!
You'll probably die a lot to the beginning bosses but try fighting through it coz once you experience the magic of finally accomplishing something you can't let go..unless it's blighttown coz fuck Blightown
I remember playing nioh for the first time and being stuck on jin hayabusa for about 2 and a half days. I died so many times on him and wondered if it was supposed to be that hard, after fighting him relentlessly it got to the point where I can do him without getting hit. Hands down deserves that 2nd place
@@unbreakableroad9294 if depends on your build and weapons, some have an easier time, for some its hell. For people playing nioh in first playthrough, he is quite the challenge, definitely deserved that spot. At least he kills you quickly so you can retry
@@raptorate2872 Nah, mechanically he’s not that hard. The first time I played Nioh 1 I didn’t even put much effort into my “build”. His moves are pretty avoidable as long as you preemptively dodge after you attack (don’t wait for him to attack to dodge). His fireball ninpo is a fucking joke, he takes a shit ton of time to cast it and it barely tracks you. His flying swallow has a a decent tell of him jumping in the air. Honestly his explosive kunai would be the main problem but you can just block the explosion unlike ngb.
Fume knight set me in a rage I seen a lot of my friends express over the years over the series and will always be my favorite in the series, it was a delight to come back a year or so later and annihilate him with power stancing magic giant clubs +10 in about 5 hit.
Sword Saint Ishin I fought for a week straight before I beat him the first time. Why he didn't make your list is astounding. He is much worse than the demon of hatred. I posture the demon out no problem.
Yeah, Glock Saint Isshin was way harder than Demon of Hatred. I managed to beat him on a charmless run (basically, makes everything much, much harder I.E. more damage taken, I think more enemy HP/Posture, faster enemy posture regen, and all attacks will deal damage unless deflected, not blocked.) Let me tell you, it felt so f**king good after I beat him and got the return ending. Also, there’s no reward for beating the game charmless. No achievements or anything. It’s just for insane masochists that want nothing more than absolute perfection though miserable pain. It also made demon of hatred miserable because I couldn’t just use the lotus umbrella to negate all of his fire attacks. So, that was fun. Try that run if you want to experience hell.
Blueblaze5 it’s 100% because of isshin’s third phase. The lightning reversal makes that phase so easy while the whistle only stuns the demon very very briefly

In my opinion, Sword Saint Isshin is like the final test of how skilled you are with the game's basic fighting mechanic. You don't have to use any tool or trick to beat him.
I tried St. Isshin many times over the time span of a few months but when I finally beat him I was able to do it again first try. (I reset my save to get multiple endings in the same playthrough.)
Legit hardcore encounter, my gear was pretty good, I grinded for the Mist set armor, had a lot of great ruines and maxed levels and great stats for me and the boy. In the end its her agility and switch ups that made me stop trying. Maybe on PS5 I will go back with 60 FPS and see if I can get smoothness to work for me...lol Of course I would need to play for another 5 hours just to get my skills back....lol

Imo God of Wars difficulty options suck. I dont find it satisfying to attack a complete sponge with the best weapons fully maxed and still feel like I'm hitting things with a wet noodle, while the best armor in the game still gets me on shotted. I love difficulty, but that feels like cheap difficulty to me. I respect those of you masochists who do so, but I just don't need that in my life lmfao
I will never forget the euphoria that washed over me when I overcame the Absolute Radiance in the Pantheon a singular victory for me in the Hall of Gods took me close to 8 hours and I only beat her in the Pantheon after 4 failed attempts in the Pantheon itself and I barely edged out my victory in the 5th attempt I guess 5 was the lucky number since it was the 5th Pantheon lol
For me, Boss Rush Supreme Calamitas was the hardest boss for me to beat. I was playing Calamity for about 3 months, and the thing that really broke me was how long it took to get to that part. Kind of similar to the Pantheon Of Hollownest. The bullet hell I had to go through with my trashcan dodging skills, plus the fact that you're limited to just a box to fight in instead of free roam, plus a worm to fight, brimstone monsters that chase you around the fight with HUGE HITBOXES AND two more people come in to fight me to make it worse, I just had to give up on that fight. But after a few weeks of giving up, my brother joined me on this fight, and we eventually beat it.
I feel no shame in admitting that I had to turn the difficulty down just to kill Sigrun. She brutally wrecked me over and over again and after a certain point I was willing to swallow my pride if it got me the Platinum Trophy.
Did you have to turn it down from Give me God of War? Or did you go from Give me a Balance (Normal) to the easiest? Just like Demod I only beat her on Give me a Balance mode, she sucked for sure. The move where Kratos rips rocks out of the ground in Spartan mode does a lot of damage to her, but it's risky because she can dodge the boulder you throw very easily.
It took me 3 hours to beat her on Give me Challenge. And then I looked up a video and it turns out she is very easy and I just made harder for myself. That was embarassing.
Sigrun is actually pretty easy even on hard idk bout give me god of war if you go for a rune build. Low cool down and powerful running attacks and shell be stunned for most of the fight.
I beat her in GMGOW the 2nd time i player the game and all I can say that it's so fucking insane, but at the same time, so epic and satisfying. My favourite boss fight of all time
I beat sigrun 3 times, the first time was on normal on my first play through and it took me 2 hours the second was on the difficulty above that I cant remember its name that took me 4 hours and my third on give me god of war and OMG SHE IS INSANE it took me 9 hours and I had maxed out gear she has massive damage output ,she is fast as hell , has so many different moves that if ur not ready for ur fucked she was so hard but when I beat her the primal scream I had after was well worth the effort

@@jameswalker6149 Same. I think I only died 3 times to Fume Knight before I took him down where as Alonne took 8 or so tries. Every Dark Souls 3 DLC boss (except Gravetender and Halflight) gave me a much harder time.
I struggled with fume knight the first 10 or so times I fought him. Then I switched gears and turned it into an endurance fight and beat him without getting hit once. Only attacking a single time when I knew the window was fully open, then refocusing on dodging until that window reopened again. After a half hour, it was over lol
Honestly he melts with rapier strats like most DS2 bosses, I killed him on my second try, first time he got me in the second phase with that dark flame attack an hanky DS2 Hotboxes, second try I switched up to boring rapier strat and his second phase lasted only a few seconds. Alonne is much harder I feel, as far as humanoid DS2 bosses go.

Was gael that tough? I remember dying a dozen times but it never felt particularly tough especially after midir..it's one of the greatest boss fights in souls history but atleast for me it's not as tough as some of the others on that list
I fought sigrun on hard difficulty and it wasn't to bad tbh, it only took about 8 tries but than again I had good gear and previous valkyries had already ingrained the moveset in my mind. Still though, the margin of error was really low.
Woah, i've beaten the #1! and I can agree too, i haven't faced anything else on this list, but I doubt any of them could beat the 45 hours over 7 months I spent beating Pantheon 5.

it took me days to beat sigrun, then when i went back to play on give me god of war mode i noticed my achievement was gone and when i go to the temple to fight her in my old load out nothings there as if i already won. I've been emailing santa monica studios for months with no answer, I still have the trophy screen shot too. Sigrun continues to bring me pain after her demise
One of the toughest bosses for me is on Tales of Arise, I faced the lord after Balseph (I keep on forgetting his name). When I faced him, I was only able to take a smidge of health away after each strike I did to me while most of his attacks can either one or two shot me, especially his mystic arte. And to add context, I was only about 3 or 4 levels below what he was and it was on NORMAL MODE!
Honestly I loved the fight against the Cannoneer and Blade Bearer. Maybe it’s because I went with a Prometheus Bayonet build for fast dodge and Eternal Blade Dance, but the fight was really REALLY fun to me.
Sigrun for me on GMGOW NG+ was super hard. It literally took me 5 days straight to beat it, but I eventually got it. It took forever to get her health down to 0 lol. It is definitely one of the hardest video game boss fights of all time. Props to Santa Monica Studios for making such an awesome fight.
@@Lloyd00 That's using the Zeus armor. And you can't get the Zeus armor if you don't beat her in NG+. So in a way, it's easier to beat her NG+2 and further on than NG+. I beat her on the hardest difficulty both times on NG and NG+, and it's definitely up there as one of the hardest fights ever, but so darn satisfying when you finally do it.
For me the hardest boss was the watchdog of the old lords in one of the later chalice dungeons in Bloodborne. I remember my HP being cut in half, so one hit was about enough to kill me. I died and died and died again, for days, and had to farm blood vials, and got so frustrated. Orphan of Kos was really difficult as well, but at least he was a "final boss", not just a flame dog in an optional, random dungeon ;-)
For me the worst in the chalices was probably the headless bloodletting beast. But I guess the hardest boss for each person depends on their play style.
Can't remember what they are called but I had a lot of trouble with the "Dark Elf" looking enemies in God of War as well as the Valkyries. There is a segment of the game where I believe I fought 3 of these "elves" at the same time in a dark corridor. They have ranged attacks, charging attacks, and stabbing attacks with a spear. Also when u are damaged by the ranged attack a fog rolls in so u can't see the enemies. The last valkyrie was definately harder but it took me forever to beat those 3 enemies too.

Yeah I’m surprised too. He is my hardest boss of the decade. No one is talking about him in the comments either. Actually I’m still trying to beat him! (Not since launch). I was trying to beat him for a week and then stopped. It’s been two months. I’m intimidated by him to even turn on the game.
SSI and DoH are completely subjective for “the hardest boss in Sekiro.” It really depends on what you’re better at, do you prefer constant, unrelenting aggression while defending only to avoid an attack? Well you’re gonna find DoH easier than SSI, because DoH encourages that playstyle. Meanwhile SSI is more about a perfect balance between offense and defense, he does less damage per hit than DoH but his combos will decimate your health if you’re trying to be aggressive. In general Sekiro encourages a perfect mix between offense and defense, DoH is like a souls boss in that the beat strategy is to go all out offense while only being defensive when absolutely necessary. The bosses really are equally difficult, but they’re so different from one another that one is going to be harder than the other for each individual. Personally I find SSI harder because I enjoy the unrelenting aggression playstyle that DoH encourages. I’m more attuned to DoH’s style of combat than SSI’s, so DoH is easier to me. I’m guessing Demod is the opposite, which is why he finds DoH harder.
Well, from my perspective the thing about Isshin and really all of the Sekiro bosses is that once you've tried them enough you become Neo from the Matrix. They can't touch you. Absolute Radiance has enough RNG to where even after a million attempts, something can still screw you.

At the end, I think I find DoH harder than ISS just because you can't parry most of his attacks. You have to fight that demon like a Dark Souls boss. Isshin took me a lot longer to figure out his attack patterns and how to beat. But once I figured out both bosses patterns, I think DoH is harder.
I faced Sigrun on very easy, and I thought I accidentally put the difficulty up. But no! She is the hardest fight in the game regardless of difficulty!
I would love to see a top list of hardest, "Fairest" bosses in video games. Bosses where when you lose, it genuinely feels like your fault moreso than faulty game mechanics while still being difficult
I'm honestly surprised to see the Demon of Hatred so high on the list. Going in blind it's truly devastating but having the whistle and umbrella make it a cakewalk comparitively. That and it's exploit definitely knock it down a few pegs for me
Yeah, Isshin was harder for me. I’m more shocked by Fume Knight making the list. Maybe it’s because I fought him after DS3, but he just seemed like nothing special.
Once you have seen all his moves, the only thing to look out for the demon of hatred is the fire status, but it does not matter if you have the vermillion umbrella, or if know how to deflect its attacks, it becomes one of the easiest bosses in New game plus. The owl is the strongest and hardest boss in sekiro, looking at the facts of his fight.
I still think Shadows of Yarnham is the toughest Soulsborne boss for myself. The mix between 3 enemies, 3 phases, long melee reach and an arena build to get you stuck on corners I always feel rather busted by the time I get there. No other bosses on the franchise has given me that much troubles.
I'm not particularly skilled but I somehow managed to beat them first try on my first playthrough, so I never quite understood why many people find this combat challenging. Went back on NG+, confident as fuck, and got my ass kicked by that giant snake. Personally my toughest fight was Laurence, and maybe Lady Maria

Focusing on one faster target is easier then 3 slower targets like SoY and it kills me every time. I don't really enjoy boss fights with several ennemies because you have to focus on different things at the same time and everything's more unpredictable. FS has made some good duo boss fights, but I think there's so much beauty in a duel between two beings. It's really unparalleled

I fought Midir 4 times and never took me more than 3 tries to beat him,i even beat him first try in one of my playthroughs,to me the only 2 bosses of ds3 that are hard every time you try them are Elfriede and Gael

Some sadness is part of life. Though, you in fact can do a lot about it. Depression is like stress. Stress is like inflammation. Eat healthy (learn what that does even mean ! - cut sugar, avoid alcohol, get a healthy amount of lipids, listen to what your body can handle etc - keto& intermittent fasting some might say), move, get some sun, be kind with yourself, get good in something, take care of your parents and loved ones.
Be mindful about the time you spend in front of your screen. It's draining and insanely stimulating. Read a book, take every now and then a few days of the computer etc.
It's all about the mindset in the end.
But again, life is tough, there will be sadness. How can there be any happiness otherwise ?
Beating absolute radiance the legit way almost broke me. I spent a whole month doing the Pantheon of Hollownest, excluding the time it took to get this far in Godhome. I specifically remember mashing that attack button as hard as I could when the Void Entity popped open the moth's face. Probably one of the most satisfying yet malicious feelings I've ever experienced when playing video games.

@@businessgamerprb5398 lol sorry that is isshin and no mist noble is not harder than isshin are you out of your mind coz if you think like that then the hardest one for you shall be corrupted monk lmao well every boss is at his own rage remember that chained ogre we fight at the start that is one of the hardest fights for beginners coz they have no decent swords or no good prosthetic tool and only 2-3 healing gourds so every sekiro boss fight is very hard remember that grandson of isshin his name was something the way of tomoe the son of genchiro way of tomoe there we learnt first time how to counter thunder then that butterfly lady that ( that old lady is too damn fast for her age) was a boss that made our reflexes better coz only 1 or 2 of her attacks and she was fast and agile as fuck she fully destroyed our posture so we needed to dodge her attacks any boss of sekiro has earned his/her place but the hardest ones are demon of hatred, corrupt monk the real one not the purple shadow of him, owl sekiro's master, guardian ape, the butterfly lady, mist noble, that something way of tomoe guy (grandson of isshin that we fight after 3-4 bosses at the start of the game), that giant Celestial Dragon, and 2-3 more i forgot their names coz it's been a long time i played that game like 8 or 9 months yeah that shichimen guy and that chained ogre(only for first timers and beginners) and also i'm sure that demon of hatred is harder than isshin and the mist noble in many ways like he has three health bars then he has a devastating fire damage so drink that gourd which decreases fire damage greatly so you don't die instantly in one attack by the attack damage and the flames and he jumps very high so you cannot see him in midair like how you can see the guardian ape in midair and he can jump at any place so it's random where he will land but there is an trick go very far away from him and he won't jump on you and there are very remember very limited ways to cheese him coz if 1 thing goes wrong his one hit can easily be able to kill you in 1 hit and if you could cheese demon of hatred then try dark souls 3 and ninja gaiden 1 and 2 but ninja gaiden 1 is a 90s game so you need a pc to play it search it on google and play it and 1 more reccomendation is god hand on hard mode here also you will need a pc or a ps2 pc emulator or a ps2 to play it and each game which i said is very fuckin hard in their own ways dark souls and ninja gaiden 2 are famous for being too hard and god hand is rated 1 or 2 by most critics coz it's too hard so just try these 3 games if you want any other game reccomendation for a ver yhard or rage game just @ me on your comment on this video and damn such a big ass comment i wrote have fun reading that comment of mine and peace out buddy
I have a funny story about the Orphan of Kos. On my very first time fighting him, like many others, I died many times. I ended up spreading my attempts to beat him out over a few days. On the final day, I made three attempts aaaand he still killed me. So I ran off, grinded Blood Echoes, leveled up my hunter, and came back to fight him for the final time. When I finally fought him for the last time, we kicked each others booty and I had about a quarter of health left and he was one shot. The crazy bastard slammed his placenta rapidly and reared up for the final slam and I lunged my moonlight sword at him aaand we killed each other. My heart fucking stopped because I had no idea if the game would register that as an actual win for me but thank god it did. Orphan of Kos, definitely one of the toughest bosses ever.

I’ve attempted pantheon of hallownest with all bindings for hours. I never even made it past traitor lord, at which point I threw the towel. Absolutely the hardest challenge I have ever faced in a game, maybe ever.
It's the worse. What makes it "hard" for me isn't the bosses themselves. It's the fact that if I die to Pure Vessel or Absolute Radiance I'll have spend another 40 or so tideouse minutes to get back there....again.
Hahaha traitor lord is the easiest boss for me. ppl just make the fight hard and complicated for them by jumping. When I fight him, i don't jump at all I stay very very close and hit him, when he swing I dash, when he jump I walk underneath him, when he did the big wave thing I take a step back and dash through it. He's very simple.

I also gave up. As much as I love Hollow Knight, fighting 40+ bosses is something I don't really find funny. Once I made it up to the Pure Vessel and died in like, 30 seconds. And doing it all over again it's just so tedious and annoying. The whole "Godmasters" thing felt so lazy and cheap in a game filled with beautiful content. For real, the only good thing about the DLC is the the Sisters of Battle fight. That boss is probably one of the most stylish thing ever.
Try Wolfenstein II Mein Leben. Hordes of enemies with hit scan aimbot. One error and you have to restart the entire game

Lol, it depends what weapon you use though. I used the saw spear and found him a fun, challenging boss, but I killed him second try. My brother used a slower weapon and spent hours trying to kill him. It really depends what weapon and playstyle you use

I unfortunately nearly beat her first try and it gave me a massive false sense of security. Got absolutely destroyed for the three hours following. Achieved victory a day later.

If you are gonna do it, I suggest just editing the pantheon room number using cheat engine to make it less annoying.
That Code Vein boss fight is a classic case of someone trying to recreate the Ornstein & Smough fight but not understanding what it was that made the O&S fight work in the first place.
Ornstein and smoug were easy compared to blade bearer and Cannoner, it only took me one try for O&S and 10 for B&C and I got lucky that Cannoner kinda glitches and wasn't targeting me

The strengths & weaknesses of the fast & slow enemy match each other so that they are difficult but fair if you utilize the right strategy. This code vein boss seems like it's very imbalanced & you gotta just hope some rng shit happens that let's you eventually get a win.
@@m_js5709 I think code vien was a better game in terms of more linear design and character creation and customizable classes whenever you wanted, I mean I loved that I can become a caster or heavy hitter whenever I saw fit, I think the levek system was better to, instead of leveling individual stats you simply level up all stats and the real damage comes from leveling your Codes, don't get me wrong dark souls is a good game but to he honest Dark souls 3 is the superior game technical wise, but my favorite is easily Sekiro there's just no competition there there just beautiful rthym to the game and bosses I will NEVER forget, I actually loved the demon souls remake as well but I could never beat dark souls 2, that's is a piece of shit game

And I can't wait for elden ring, I'm currently playing Nioh 2 which is a pain in my ass and I'm hoping we get like a bloodbourne remaster or atleast a 60pfs patch
To beat Demon of Hatred somewhat consistently you’ll need to whip out that Golden Parasol (and guard against most of the flaming attacks that you cannot dodge) along with the Ceremonial Tanto for additional emblems. Use Malcontent in the last phase only.
That is exactly how I beat him the first time and I don’t think I could’ve done it any other way lmao. Fight ended with zero gourds, zero pellets, zero resurrections and zero emblems left. Even used a persimmon or something to heal myself once 💀
The only prosthetic tool i use against him is the malcontent, it makes the 3rd phase stupid easy
for me what fucked me up was that him getting far all the time so I only used shurikens to have that dash attack and get closer and that did all the three phases for me

yea but with that logic what about the final boss of the 999 floor dungeon in nioh. You have to beat NG++++ just to go past floor like 30 and theres tons of dual and triple boss fights AND you get a handful of debuffs for every boss fight and your heals are separate from outside of it. Granted most people have completely broken builds past NG but still. I haven't actually done it myself since I don't replay games

Coming from someone who S ranked the majority of DMD mode and mastered his bossfight, I can definetly testify to how tough he still is, even after hundreds of hours.
A single mistake and you can kiss a third of your health goodbye, the updates they gave him made his combo strings more deadly and even tho I memorised his moveset he can still catch me by suprise on occasion.

I went into DMC 5 thinking its combat system was more souls like and Virgil, despite me playing the game wrong, was pretty easy for me. Then I realised I played on easy mode with a bunch of upgrades I got bc of some sale.
His fight against Nero is the toughest for me i think i just suck at Nero but with Dante you can just royal guard his ass
@@fishnutz5196 for me the Nero version was piss easy even on DMD, I think that's mainly cause of how good I got with the Buster and how much I like to juggle enemies around in the air as Nero tho, which really came in handy .
Gerbera is also borderline OP in that fight since it lets you dodge his attacks infinitely

While I won't say anything about DMD mode or higher difficulties above the norm, on Normal Mode I don't see it. Vergil maybe took me a couple of tries, but he would not be a top 10 hardest boss for me. Now OG DMC3... Now that was tough.
I've played all fromsoftare games with the exeption of demon solus, and the most difficult bosses for me were owl (second encounter) and demon of hatred form sekiro, and orphan of kos from bloodborne. The last one took me one too many hours... but the satisfaction was immense in the end

Midir from the Ringed City is the hardest boss of all the souls games. That is coming from personal experience however
I just finished the gauntlets in sekiro and lemme tell you, Inner Father is a piece of shit. Honestly the hardest boss in the game in my opinion. Inner father trumps DOH and Inner Isshin. But the satisfaction when you beat the gauntlets is unmatched, give it a try..

@@dodosselewesi9132 Ayy i struggled too my first playthrough. I watched Vaatividyas tips on sekiro. But I can give you a quick few easy ones :
1. Spend some time farming exp and invest in some good skills.
2. Go out of your way to find all gourd seeds and Max out your health bar
3. When it comes to combat, the one tip that really helped me was instead of mindlessly spamming r1 when I wanted to deal damage "deliberately" hit R1. As in mindfully press it once at a time in quick succession so you can easily switch to deflect halfway if the enemy suddenly decides to attack you.
4. Keep playing. The more you play the more you get used to it and the more fun it becomes. Good luck fellow Shinobi!!

I remember beating NKG for the first time after 3 total hours of attempts and then immediately learning there was an EX version of Radiance that made NKG look like Zote from the Coliseum of Fools. Hopped on a one way train to F**k-That-Ville
Not to mention that you have to kill every boss before fighting absolute radiance
NKG took me 8 hours to beat but Absolute Radiance took me 12 hours practice and beat her in hall of gods, i'm not even counting time i spent on Pantheon of Hallownest

Sigrun was the most difficult yet fair boss I faced this decade. Once I got into the zone I barely remember the battle, only the pure joy of beating her. It took me hours to beat her
THIS.you know her moves and all her tells they are learnable but if you dodge a second late or miss read a move as something else (which there's lots of oppurtunity for because of her bullet sponge ness) its over
I second this too, she's fair no bullshit hit boxes, no complicated moves, no hit sponge.
Although she sometimes don't get stunned by runic moves but over all she's the fairest difficult boss compared to the others in the list.
I can't count how many times she bashed my head to the ground, that shit was painful.

Maybe fromsoft games have spoiled Sigrun for me but when I'm thinking of good, fair and memorable bosses, no GOW bosses come to mind and that includes Sigrun. Sometimes you get lucky and stagger her to hit all your specials consecutively, other times she doesn't get staggered and you're standing there like a moron hitting thin air. That was more a flaw of the combat system rather than boss however. On top of that I thought she was quite easy if you are chaining specials plus using rage, plus having resurrection stones that start you off with full rage. (This isn't me using some meta way to beat her, it was my first time playing the game). Seems weird that people really rate her when there are so many better designed and more interesting bosses in the likes of Fromsoft games, hollow knight , cup head....even Doom
@@Beyondqqq I'm sorry but the amount of times that I died to a bosses weapons or projectiles clipping through walls make me never considering any fromsoft bosses as fair and I'm a huge Bloodborne, Sekiro fan.
Also to be honest most of the "hard" bosses in from software games are just hard because their health bar is enormous and they hit like trucks.
I don't consider them technically challenging they are more like mechanically challenging they are like a grind which me and other people love, to be frank with you only few bosses come to my mind that are really technically challenging but also those I wouldn't consider them as fair ,plus the amount of bosses that you can cheese in from software games is huge and the fact that you have to cheese a boss to beat it is a sign of 1) bad design 2) unfairness 3) or you're under leveled of course. (But even if you're decently leveled you still encounter most of the problems above)
On the other hand Sigrun is the hardest Fair boss I have every faced she's not the hardest but she's the best overall boss especially if you played on "Give me god of war"(if you played on the normal difficulty she'd still kick your ass but you're missing a lot), she is technically hard not just the mechanics of the game, she hits hard but not too hard to make it unfair (or just for the hell of it to make it more "difficult"), she got zero bullshit moves, you can't cheese her and she got a decent hit box you have to play flawlessly to beat her or at least close to it. And to be honest I've never encountered your problems with her the only problem I faced was when I hit her with Runic move and she didn't got stun and that happened only once.

Demon of Hatred took me literally a whole night. I began around eleven in the night and with the sunrise I beat the demon and went to bed. But whenever I see the Orphan in the hardest bosses I wonder then how I beat him in the second try! I guess there's a nightmare boss for everyone. Mine was definitely Champion Gundyr. That bastard!

Yeah, difficulty is different for everyone. I oneshotted Midir, but struggle to this day against Pontiff.
For Gundyr: I hated him for the longest time as well, but managed to beat him with a sl20 something character. Use dorhys gnawing. Its way easier to weave in spells between his attacks than attack him in melee, and the bleed buildup and damage it provides is insane against Gundyr. If you want extra easy-mode, summon the swordmaster. Hes fragile as fuck, yes. But I consistetly can kill Gundyr before he even dies. Should give you an image of how much damage dorhys does to him to outdamage his killing of the swordmaster.

I finished Cuphead, and eventhough Grim Matchstick (the dragon) can be quite a challenge, it is nothing compared to Dr Kahl’s Robot in my opinion. The screen gets insanely crowded in its final phase

I’ll always remember fighting Sigrun. I was on normal and just couldn’t do it. I turned the difficulty up to hard just to see what she’d be like. And managed to beat her on hard. Definitely one of my biggest achievements in gaming.

@@danielmarcanio7607 its not gonna be easy. But i advice you to use unbreakable strength deep focus quick focus grubsong. Reach her once in the pantheon and then just practice in the hall of gods. Be extremely passive don't chase after her if she came to you and there's an opening you can attack her. You have to fight this boss until you're comfortable. Let this boss drag as much as you want don't be too greedy

@@octoeight2362 I'm trying to beat her in radiant now that I've beaten all the other bosses in radiant, and let me tell you: there is a LOT of rng in the fight, which means that there are moments where you can be in the wrong place in the wrong time and just get hit by an unavoidable combination of attacks. Even then, this doesn't happen often, so beating her is mostly skill.
The thing that I hate most about Radiance isn't the rng, it's the FUCKING 20-30 SECONDS OF INTRO THAT I HAVE TO WAIT EVERYTIME I DIE AND RESTART THE FIGHT

Absolute Radiance is way harder, and this is coming from someone who has played all the Soulsborne games. Try beating it without taking ANY damage and with all bindings. Just to let you know it is almost impossible.

he is pretty hard for most veterans of the souls series and he is also hard if you are a newcomer to the series aswell but that being said if you can parry him he is piss easy but on the other hand if you can't parry him he can stunlock you, deal insane damage in the blink of a eye and he also can one shot you with most of his attacks. if you can parry he is easy but if you can't he is hard. it's all up to your ability to parry at the end of the day.

for anybody stuck on absolute radiance:
use charms unbreakable strength, quick focus, deep focus and grubsong. after using this i went from being able to beat the boss perhaps once over 40 minutes of practice to being able to consistently beat it. you can heal two masks with the same amount of soul it’d take to heal one, and there are a few healing opportunities, namely the attack where she used three sets of light beams in a star pattern (18:01) camp her out. focus on dodging and only attack when she’s directly on top of you, it really helps, trust me
yeah deep focus + quick focus is a godsend for the fight. makes it much more consistent since getting hit stops being so devastating.
Easier to said than done, fuck this boss
I go with unbreakable strength, mark of pride, sharp shadow, and quick slash. Plenty of opportunities to heal normally in the second major phase of the fight. The first part is pretty easy if you wait for Radiance to show her attack and then dodge the first part of it and hit her in in between them.

My tip for OoK is to be aggressive in phase 2 and take advantage of the fact that hitting recovers health. I realised this after a bunch of people on the boards who said they had an easier time with OoK than they did with O&S and when I questioned them, they said they basically just spammed R1.
Lo and behold, I tried it and beat him immediately.
Obviously you could just git gud and properly learn his attacks, but that's one reason I hate multi-phase bosses in Miyazaki games. Every time you fail, you have to waste all that time getting through phase 1 to try and learn phase 2, only to die in the first 5 seconds ...
@@Silentstorm174 I don't think I ever got hit by laurence. Although, my experience in the Bloodborne DLC was very unusual in that I was playing 99 arcane spellcasting. Blacksky Eye from safety as much as you like. I've replayed with several other character, but never did laurence again because I frankly didn't find him very interesting compared to Ludwig, Maria, and Orphan.
Orphan was awful in my first playthrough after going through multiple playthroughs I can get him down pretty easily but Lawrence is always a pain in my ass especially in NG+ cycles can nearly one shot you with some of his attacks and it feels like you just tickle his health bar.
Real hardest boss for me is the Loran Darkbeast in depth 5 chalice dungeons with offerings. Idk if it was me having unlucky AI but every time I came through the fog gate he was mid air flying towards me doing a jumping attack and would one shot me as I came through the gate every time.
I beat the radiance in the normal story mode without too much trouble. But facing her in the pantheon after all those other bosses is just too great and undertaking for me this year. For some reason Zote the Almighty in all his glory really is the one giving me trouble

I can’t believe how spoil we are with the DMCV Vergil fight. It’s near perfectly balanced, memorable, and challenging
DMC3's final Vergil fight is my favorite final boss of all time. Getting a modern redux of that, even if I like the original one a little bit better, was an absolute treat for me.
I agree there's always a perfect counter to most moves but you need to put in time to learn and discover and perfect it. On dmd it's an absoluteblast
It was pretty easy though, compared to Dante's Awakening.
Am I the only one who struggles more with fighting DMC5 vergil with Nero? It just seems like Nero's moveset is not meant to keep up with the quick pace of Vergil for a majority of the fight
I thought it was very easy. When I look back on that fight, quality wise it was awesome, but I don't understand how someone found it difficult on Normal. I remember it only taking me maybe a couple of tries. OG DMC3 final Vergil though... Now there ya go.

Sigrun on GMGoW took me a whole weekend and it was the most glorious moment I've felt when I finally got her, so damn satisfying... I just wish there was an achievement for doing it... still worth it though!
If you get all the other trophies before beating her you get the platinum trophy which is nice.

I remember playing nioh for the first time and being stuck on jin hayabusa for about 2 and a half days. I died so many times on him and wondered if it was supposed to be that hard, after fighting him relentlessly it got to the point where I can do him without getting hit. Hands down deserves that 2nd place

@@unbreakableroad9294 if depends on your build and weapons, some have an easier time, for some its hell. For people playing nioh in first playthrough, he is quite the challenge, definitely deserved that spot. At least he kills you quickly so you can retry
@@raptorate2872 Nah, mechanically he’s not that hard. The first time I played Nioh 1 I didn’t even put much effort into my “build”. His moves are pretty avoidable as long as you preemptively dodge after you attack (don’t wait for him to attack to dodge). His fireball ninpo is a fucking joke, he takes a shit ton of time to cast it and it barely tracks you. His flying swallow has a a decent tell of him jumping in the air. Honestly his explosive kunai would be the main problem but you can just block the explosion unlike ngb.

Fume knight set me in a rage I seen a lot of my friends express over the years over the series and will always be my favorite in the series, it was a delight to come back a year or so later and annihilate him with power stancing magic giant clubs +10 in about 5 hit.
Sword Saint Ishin I fought for a week straight before I beat him the first time. Why he didn't make your list is astounding. He is much worse than the demon of hatred. I posture the demon out no problem.
Yeah, Glock Saint Isshin was way harder than Demon of Hatred. I managed to beat him on a charmless run (basically, makes everything much, much harder I.E. more damage taken, I think more enemy HP/Posture, faster enemy posture regen, and all attacks will deal damage unless deflected, not blocked.) Let me tell you, it felt so f**king good after I beat him and got the return ending. Also, there’s no reward for beating the game charmless. No achievements or anything. It’s just for insane masochists that want nothing more than absolute perfection though miserable pain. It also made demon of hatred miserable because I couldn’t just use the lotus umbrella to negate all of his fire attacks. So, that was fun. Try that run if you want to experience hell.
Blueblaze5 it’s 100% because of isshin’s third phase. The lightning reversal makes that phase so easy while the whistle only stuns the demon very very briefly

In my opinion, Sword Saint Isshin is like the final test of how skilled you are with the game's basic fighting mechanic. You don't have to use any tool or trick to beat him.
I tried St. Isshin many times over the time span of a few months but when I finally beat him I was able to do it again first try. (I reset my save to get multiple endings in the same playthrough.)
Sigrun on 'Give me God of War' difficulty broke me
Legit hardcore encounter, my gear was pretty good, I grinded for the Mist set armor, had a lot of great ruines and maxed levels and great stats for me and the boy. In the end its her agility and switch ups that made me stop trying. Maybe on PS5 I will go back with 60 FPS and see if I can get smoothness to work for me...lol Of course I would need to play for another 5 hours just to get my skills back....lol

Imo God of Wars difficulty options suck. I dont find it satisfying to attack a complete sponge with the best weapons fully maxed and still feel like I'm hitting things with a wet noodle, while the best armor in the game still gets me on shotted. I love difficulty, but that feels like cheap difficulty to me. I respect those of you masochists who do so, but I just don't need that in my life lmfao

I will never forget the euphoria that washed over me when I overcame the Absolute Radiance in the Pantheon a singular victory for me in the Hall of Gods took me close to 8 hours and I only beat her in the Pantheon after 4 failed attempts in the Pantheon itself and I barely edged out my victory in the 5th attempt I guess 5 was the lucky number since it was the 5th Pantheon lol
For me, Boss Rush Supreme Calamitas was the hardest boss for me to beat. I was playing Calamity for about 3 months, and the thing that really broke me was how long it took to get to that part. Kind of similar to the Pantheon Of Hollownest. The bullet hell I had to go through with my trashcan dodging skills, plus the fact that you're limited to just a box to fight in instead of free roam, plus a worm to fight, brimstone monsters that chase you around the fight with HUGE HITBOXES AND two more people come in to fight me to make it worse, I just had to give up on that fight. But after a few weeks of giving up, my brother joined me on this fight, and we eventually beat it.
Idk if modded boss counts, because then any radiance v3 would not only be no1, but would count as the hardest video game boss in history
I feel no shame in admitting that I had to turn the difficulty down just to kill Sigrun. She brutally wrecked me over and over again and after a certain point I was willing to swallow my pride if it got me the Platinum Trophy.
Did you have to turn it down from Give me God of War? Or did you go from Give me a Balance (Normal) to the easiest? Just like Demod I only beat her on Give me a Balance mode, she sucked for sure. The move where Kratos rips rocks out of the ground in Spartan mode does a lot of damage to her, but it's risky because she can dodge the boulder you throw very easily.

It took me 3 hours to beat her on Give me Challenge. And then I looked up a video and it turns out she is very easy and I just made harder for myself. That was embarassing.
Sigrun is actually pretty easy even on hard idk bout give me god of war if you go for a rune build. Low cool down and powerful running attacks and shell be stunned for most of the fight.
I beat her in GMGOW the 2nd time i player the game and all I can say that it's so fucking insane, but at the same time, so epic and satisfying. My favourite boss fight of all time

For me Demon of Hatred inspired fear as soon as I saw him, for the simple reason that I went from BB to Sekiro and hadn't got over my Laurence PTSD.

I beat sigrun 3 times, the first time was on normal on my first play through and it took me 2 hours the second was on the difficulty above that I cant remember its name that took me 4 hours and my third on give me god of war and OMG SHE IS INSANE it took me 9 hours and I had maxed out gear she has massive damage output ,she is fast as hell , has so many different moves that if ur not ready for ur fucked she was so hard but when I beat her the primal scream I had after was well worth the effort

It is indeed. My footage for DS2 is a bit outdated. Credited them in the description. And Fume is indeed a rough time, especially at SL1. The lack of ADP really hurts

Every Dark Souls 3 DLC boss (except Gravetender and Halflight) gave me a much harder time.

I remember spending two straight hours dying to Sigrund before sending her to oblivion
I struggled with fume knight the first 10 or so times I fought him. Then I switched gears and turned it into an endurance fight and beat him without getting hit once. Only attacking a single time when I knew the window was fully open, then refocusing on dodging until that window reopened again. After a half hour, it was over lol
Honestly he melts with rapier strats like most DS2 bosses, I killed him on my second try, first time he got me in the second phase with that dark flame attack an hanky DS2
Hotboxes, second try I switched up to boring rapier strat and his second phase lasted only a few seconds. Alonne is much harder I feel, as far as humanoid DS2 bosses go.

Was gael that tough? I remember dying a dozen times but it never felt particularly tough especially after midir..it's one of the greatest boss fights in souls history but atleast for me it's not as tough as some of the others on that list
I fought sigrun on hard difficulty and it wasn't to bad tbh, it only took about 8 tries but than again I had good gear and previous valkyries had already ingrained the moveset in my mind. Still though, the margin of error was really low.
Sigrun on the hard difficulty (2nd from the top) was 3 hours of my life gone forever. But I still felt amazing to have cleared her.
Woah, i've beaten the #1! and I can agree too, i haven't faced anything else on this list, but I doubt any of them could beat the 45 hours over 7 months I spent beating Pantheon 5.

it took me days to beat sigrun, then when i went back to play on give me god of war mode i noticed my achievement was gone and when i go to the temple to fight her in my old load out nothings there as if i already won. I've been emailing santa monica studios for months with no answer, I still have the trophy screen shot too. Sigrun continues to bring me pain after her demise

One of the toughest bosses for me is on Tales of Arise, I faced the lord after Balseph (I keep on forgetting his name). When I faced him, I was only able to take a smidge of health away after each strike I did to me while most of his attacks can either one or two shot me, especially his mystic arte. And to add context, I was only about 3 or 4 levels below what he was and it was on NORMAL MODE!
I had to switch to very easy 😂😂
Honestly I loved the fight against the Cannoneer and Blade Bearer. Maybe it’s because I went with a Prometheus Bayonet build for fast dodge and Eternal Blade Dance, but the fight was really REALLY fun to me.

Sigrun for me on GMGOW NG+ was super hard. It literally took me 5 days straight to beat it, but I eventually got it. It took forever to get her health down to 0 lol. It is definitely one of the hardest video game boss fights of all time. Props to Santa Monica Studios for making such an awesome fight.

@@Lloyd00 That's using the Zeus armor. And you can't get the Zeus armor if you don't beat her in NG+. So in a way, it's easier to beat her NG+2 and further on than NG+. I beat her on the hardest difficulty both times on NG and NG+, and it's definitely up there as one of the hardest fights ever, but so darn satisfying when you finally do it.

For me the hardest boss was the watchdog of the old lords in one of the later chalice dungeons in Bloodborne. I remember my HP being cut in half, so one hit was about enough to kill me. I died and died and died again, for days, and had to farm blood vials, and got so frustrated. Orphan of Kos was really difficult as well, but at least he was a "final boss", not just a flame dog in an optional, random dungeon ;-)

For me the worst in the chalices was probably the headless bloodletting beast. But I guess the hardest boss for each person depends on their play style.
Can't remember what they are called but I had a lot of trouble with the "Dark Elf" looking enemies in God of War as well as the Valkyries. There is a segment of the game where I believe I fought 3 of these "elves" at the same time in a dark corridor. They have ranged attacks, charging attacks, and stabbing attacks with a spear. Also when u are damaged by the ranged attack a fog rolls in so u can't see the enemies. The last valkyrie was definately harder but it took me forever to beat those 3 enemies too.
My man you've got to do some undertale rankings, there is a plethora of content waiting to be unpacked. Sans is a beast and would fit nicely somewhere on this list

Yeah I’m surprised too. He is my hardest boss of the decade. No one is talking about him in the comments either. Actually I’m still trying to beat him! (Not since launch). I was trying to beat him for a week and then stopped. It’s been two months. I’m intimidated by him to even turn on the game.
SSI and DoH are completely subjective for “the hardest boss in Sekiro.” It really depends on what you’re better at, do you prefer constant, unrelenting aggression while defending only to avoid an attack? Well you’re gonna find DoH easier than SSI, because DoH encourages that playstyle. Meanwhile SSI is more about a perfect balance between offense and defense, he does less damage per hit than DoH but his combos will decimate your health if you’re trying to be aggressive.
In general Sekiro encourages a perfect mix between offense and defense, DoH is like a souls boss in that the beat strategy is to go all out offense while only being defensive when absolutely necessary. The bosses really are equally difficult, but they’re so different from one another that one is going to be harder than the other for each individual. Personally I find SSI harder because I enjoy the unrelenting aggression playstyle that DoH encourages. I’m more attuned to DoH’s style of combat than SSI’s, so DoH is easier to me. I’m guessing Demod is the opposite, which is why he finds DoH harder.
Well, from my perspective the thing about Isshin and really all of the Sekiro bosses is that once you've tried them enough you become Neo from the Matrix. They can't touch you.
Absolute Radiance has enough RNG to where even after a million attempts, something can still screw you.
@@filipwojtowicz1330 dude! I recently beat Isshin the saint few weeks ago after giving up on the game for a long time. But never in my soulsborne life did I have to look for so many guides on a boss like him. You can do it!
At the end, I think I find DoH harder than ISS just because you can't parry most of his attacks. You have to fight that demon like a Dark Souls boss. Isshin took me a lot longer to figure out his attack patterns and how to beat. But once I figured out both bosses patterns, I think DoH is harder.
Beating radiant absolute radiance in the pantheon of the hallownest is still my greatest achievement.
I faced Sigrun on very easy, and I thought I accidentally put the difficulty up. But no! She is the hardest fight in the game regardless of difficulty!
I would love to see a top list of hardest, "Fairest" bosses in video games. Bosses where when you lose, it genuinely feels like your fault moreso than faulty game mechanics while still being difficult

I'm honestly surprised to see the Demon of Hatred so high on the list. Going in blind it's truly devastating but having the whistle and umbrella make it a cakewalk comparitively. That and it's exploit definitely knock it down a few pegs for me

Yeah, Isshin was harder for me. I’m more shocked by Fume Knight making the list. Maybe it’s because I fought him after DS3, but he just seemed like nothing special.
Once you have seen all his moves, the only thing to look out for the demon of hatred is the fire status, but it does not matter if you have the vermillion umbrella, or if know how to deflect its attacks, it becomes one of the easiest bosses in New game plus. The owl is the strongest and hardest boss in sekiro, looking at the facts of his fight.
I know its a niche of a boss but Fatalis 3 faint in monster hunter world was my ultimate boss experience in recent memories
I still think Shadows of Yarnham is the toughest Soulsborne boss for myself.
The mix between 3 enemies, 3 phases, long melee reach and an arena build to get you stuck on corners I always feel rather busted by the time I get there.
No other bosses on the franchise has given me that much troubles.

I'm not particularly skilled but I somehow managed to beat them first try on my first playthrough, so I never quite understood why many people find this combat challenging. Went back on NG+, confident as fuck, and got my ass kicked by that giant snake.
Personally my toughest fight was Laurence, and maybe Lady Maria
@@darkmelusina8388 Those are also indeed very though bosses. I feel, for me personally, it's just an amount thing. Focusing on one faster target is easier then 3 slower targets like SoY and it kills me every time.

I don't really enjoy boss fights with several ennemies because you have to focus on different things at the same time and everything's more unpredictable. FS has made some good duo boss fights, but
