Glad to hear Imagine getting some credit. He’s been making some incredibly helpful builds lately and I feel like he’s one of the first people to realize the full potential of Shadebinder. His Dawnblade/Sunbracers build is also insanely good.
I'm a Titan, but I thoroughly enjoy turning any first person shooter I play into an RTS or Tower defense game when I can. It makes me incredibly happy to see that it is possible to do this in Destiny and makes me even want to swap over to Warlock because of this set up. Also I have to applaud the pacing of the video. It's really easy for me to lose pace when watching some fast paced informational videos, and this really does a good job of keeping me on the same page.
In a world of fast-paced information, it's nice to attentively sit through such a detailed breakdown as this one instead. Not only do we get a build breakdown, but detailed explanations that help us understand WHY certain things are chosen that can help us craft more builds in the future. Kudos!
If you directly hit an enemy with osmiomancy coldsnap grenade before it hits the ground it will also refund energy. -grenade bounces of thralls head, get more energy (+12.5%) -Grenade freezes 1st thrall, get more energy (+25%) -first coldsnap chain freezes 2nd thrall, get more energy (+37.5%) -ice flare bolts proc, sending a 2nd seeker to a 3rd thrall, get more energy (+ 50%) -osmiomancy additional seeker comes out, hitting a 4th thrall, get more energy (+ 62.5% total energy)
Seriously! The fast paced videos not only get quite tiring, but they can be straight up confusing and annoying, often overlooking explaining more information in a helpful way. This is a breath of fresh air, especially as someone who enjoyed finding Imagine’s informative videos some time back. The music is a bit ‘le epic’, but not too annoying for the content; contextually, I get it, and the choice isn’t bad. A nice detail at 21:15 given the context as he misses the melee, to make it not be an ego thing.

I'm so glad Imagine is getting some recognition, his original stasis video was true mastery of the subclass, and I've been trying to emulate the build since it dropped. @@AysaMetric Depending on the content I've found this build will work better with other mods - if your team puts out a lot of wells, elemental charge is a great alternative - same for orbs. Stasis users also need to be careful about when and where turrets go - freezing an unstoppable champ can cause your teammates a lot of pain (especially in LFG). Imagine really breaks this down well, understanding the battlefield and using stasis right when and where it needs to be is what takes the player to the next level.
This is by far the most professional Destiny 2 build video I’ve ever seen. I’m blown away by the depth of the content and the production quality of the graphics. So nicely done. As a stasis warlock main I can’t wait to put this build together tomorrow. I’m typically an Ager’s Scepter bro but I just checked DIM and I’ve got a demo riptide. Woot.
Shadebinder definitely feels like the Swiss Army Knife of Destiny. You did a great job with the omnipresent Emperor. And there is so much more to the subclass, from using the shard-overshield for maximum survivability to being a disruptor in PvP. It has so much depth and options.
Man, this is such a great insight into how something with so many different elements feeds into a synergistic loop that’s pretty unstoppable. Great work 👏
Great build video as always. Two things I’d add for those that don’t know are there is a third option for a stasis fusion as of this season, the Aurvandil FR6, which is a world drop that can roll with reconstruction and demolitionist and that a heavy with explosive light, like the Typhon GL5 or Palmyra-B, will also allow you to keep picking up orbs of light even when your super bar is full.
It's a rare treat to find a youtuber who makes a video that enthralls me. You didn't just make a video going "this is a cool thing, dudebro, look at the dmg, wow!" like most do. This video is an experience, and got me legitimately hyped for a stasis warlock build (and I HATE roaming supers!)
I absolutely love this style of content. So much thought and practice goes into things like this, the details are in depth, and everything is very well broken down. I just wish Stasis would get a lot of QoL updates and help because we are in a stasis season and it's about time the darkness comes in hot and heavy on us.
Just letting everyone know there also is another stasis fusion called AURVANDIL FR6 that can roll with reconstruction and demo and you can get it from the star chart in the helm from the omolon focused umbral engrams. The downside is that it is a 960 charge time so it is a bit slower than the other options but I believe it is the easiest to get.
Checked DIM while watching this video and oddly enough I have that exact roll with (liquid coil/Projection fuse), (arrowhead break/smallbore) and a range MW
Got a subsistence/demo roll that has been good. Depending on the content/difficulty... I swap between that, Deliverance with surrounded/demo, or riptide with perp/demo. All super nice. Haven't seen a chill clip roll worth using yet though
I have been playing stasis lock for a while now, but NEVER have I seen such a in-depth explanation of the class. I watched every second of it and I suggest anyone watching this to do the same. Will 100% try this build. Definitely got my subscription❤

God… this build was beautiful, I’m so sad that it no longer works as well with all the changes. I’m really hoping that the next season after Season of the Witch brings something like this build back. I’m basically using strand and solar all the time, when stasis has always been my favorite 😢

I would love to see an update for Stasis warlock that has mods relevant for Lightfall. Hopefully you have something in the works or will soon! The way this build allows to to play destiny in way that is completely different than we’ve ever been able to play since before stasis came out is amazing. Which is why I think darkness subclasses are overall a little more interesting since they follow a different combat philosophy.

I have been cursed with an obsession with min maxing since I started build crafting. I will be intensively editing this build and experimenting to raise its floor as high as I can, and that shouldn't be hard given this incredible foundation
@@flexu8699 it's just a less efficient way of gaining charged with light, considering it takes three mods to convert them to firepower while also getting pitiful amounts of ability energy from them, due to the 4 second cooldown of well of restoration
@@flexu8699 I've been running a stasis shards version for a while and they aren't as effective as you might think. The main issue is that to get the max amount of ability energy that way you have to not kill things, which is kind of an issue. Other problem is the lack of iceflare bolts, meaning your only source of freeze is the turrets themselves, which you have fewer of this way
Love the builds and all the other fun and informative videos by imagine, keep them coming. I would like to address some stuff about this build that I thought of the first time I saw it on Imagine's channel last month as well. This build is not only hard for new-lights and some more experienced lights it is practically IMPOSSIBLE to make since last time" Quick Charge" was on Ada-1 was "2022-07-23", thats literally 5 MONTHS ago. So I had to come up with something for myself. (Also I am not that good with raids, even though I am not that new to the game, my perfectionist gamer mind wouldn't allow me to play without a Chill Clip-Demolitionist only Demolitionist weapon) Instead of "Iceflare Bolts" aspect use "Glacial Harvest" aspect with Ager's Scepter exotic trace rifle. And replace "Whisper of Fissures" (maybe Chains, but not preffered for harder content) with "Whisper of Conduction". And use "Elemental Shards" and "Elemental Charge" mods instead of "Quick Charge" and "Stacks on Stacks", this way you will become charged with light by not only ad clearing but freezing majors and minibosses as well (maybe even bosses, didnt test it). And since you will be getting elemental wells you might even replace one of the "Firepower" mods with font of might for that sweet extra weapon damage on your Agers and very possibly a stasis heavy weapon (I didnt test the grenade regen with this so I am not sure it would be enough regen to do this). Of course this comes with some trade-offs tho: 1-) Need to reposition on distant kills to get shards(elemental wells for us now) 2-) Smaller AoE bursts and less burst damage from special weapon 3-) Cant equip Arbalest or Witherhoard (I see you always use it Imagine :D) and occupying the Exotic weapon choice BUT: 4-) Your otherwise useless super might become useful for burst damage with Agers rather than only to use it for room clears 5-) Better ad clear with only your weapon I have yet to test this build, I will hopefully with the next weekly reset for last fragment missions. I would like to hear your thoughts on this forced budget - Ager's Scepter lover build.
Gotta say this was the clearest and most in depth build guide and I thank you very much for it. I’ve tried doing this build with a similar set up with void and Contraverse Holds and the set up works phenomenally for both. The description of the loop and use of the fusion will definitely help where my game play loop wasn’t working. Thank you!

I know it may seem like a trivial thing to many, but I sustained several TBI's while serving in the military and it now takes me longer to process and clearly understand things. If you don't care about demo, cause the grenade regen is enough, riptide is a better fusion, faster rpm means faster freeze, faster reload, bigger ammo reserve, built in alloy mag.

i love these build series bc unlike other youtubers that just show the build components and maybe some background gameplay or some niche solo run which would show how that build is specific to the content and not overall, you show how it all comes together and how to master the build

The only thing is when I see build videos I like at the end where they show a chart so you can put the build in yourself so you don’t have to go back, fast forward it all, shows it right there, that is a very big thing for me when I want to build videos

Stasis needs another Super option. Every other class has at least two options to choose from. Can’t wait to see what it will be in the future.
Agreed but from what I saw, Agers Scepter is like a pseudo super for stasis.

I have been cursed with an obsession with min maxing since I started build crafting. I will be intensively editing this build and experimenting to raise its floor as high as I can, and that shouldn't be hard given this incredible foundation
I'm not sure this build can be optimized further for general play. If you come up with anything reply though bc I'm down to run it.

I think implementing stasis shards into this build could improve it or at the very least alter how you regain grenade energy
@@flexu8699 it's just a less efficient way of gaining charged with light, considering it takes three mods to convert them to firepower while also getting pitiful amounts of ability energy from them, due to the 4 second cooldown of well of restoration
@@flexu8699 I've been running a stasis shards version for a while and they aren't as effective as you might think. The main issue is that to get the max amount of ability energy that way you have to not kill things, which is kind of an issue. Other problem is the lack of iceflare bolts, meaning your only source of freeze is the turrets themselves, which you have fewer of this way
I knew a decent amount of this from experience, but never built super hard into turrets until I saw how useful they can be. Great video

I would like to address some stuff about this build that I thought of the first time I saw it on Imagine's channel last month as well.
This build is not only hard for new-lights and some more experienced lights it is practically IMPOSSIBLE to make since last time" Quick Charge" was on Ada-1 was "2022-07-23", thats literally 5 MONTHS ago.
So I had to come up with something for myself. (Also I am not that good with raids, even though I am not that new to the game, my perfectionist gamer mind wouldn't allow me to play without a Chill Clip-Demolitionist only Demolitionist weapon)
Instead of "Iceflare Bolts" aspect use "Glacial Harvest" aspect with Ager's Scepter exotic trace rifle. And replace "Whisper of Fissures" (maybe Chains, but not preffered for harder content) with "Whisper of Conduction". And use "Elemental Shards" and "Elemental Charge" mods instead of "Quick Charge" and "Stacks on Stacks", this way you will become charged with light by not only ad clearing but freezing majors and minibosses as well (maybe even bosses, didnt test it). And since you will be getting elemental wells you might even replace one of the "Firepower" mods with font of might for that sweet extra weapon damage on your Agers and very possibly a stasis heavy weapon (I didnt test the grenade regen with this so I am not sure it would be enough regen to do this).
Of course this comes with some trade-offs tho:
1-) Need to reposition on distant kills to get shards(elemental wells for us now)
2-) Smaller AoE bursts and less burst damage from special weapon
3-) Cant equip Arbalest or Witherhoard (I see you always use it Imagine :D) and occupying the Exotic weapon choice
BUT:
4-) Your otherwise useless super might become useful for burst damage with Agers rather than only to use it for room clears
5-) Better ad clear with only your weapon
I have yet to test this build, I will hopefully with the next weekly reset for last fragment missions. I would like to hear your thoughts on this forced budget - Ager's Scepter lover build.

Gotta say this was the clearest and most in depth build guide and I thank you very much for it. I’ve tried doing this build with a similar set up with void and Contraverse Holds and the set up works phenomenally for both. The description of the loop and use of the fusion will definitely help where my game play loop wasn’t working. Thank you!

"Forever" is a strong word for a game that changes the meta every other week. Lol.
If you don't care about demo, cause the grenade regen is enough, riptide is a better fusion, faster rpm means faster freeze, faster reload, bigger ammo reserve, built in alloy mag.
Very thorough video, love that you teach from the basics as opposed to just stating that certain mods/aspects are all that is needed.

The only thing is when I see build videos I like at the end where they show a chart so you can put the build in yourself so you don’t have to go back, fast forward it all, shows it right there, that is a very big thing for me when I want to build videos
