This is a video, about the most modern Honda CB 100 I ever seen.
But the most interesting thing, it is based on a 1973 Honda CB100.
Certainty the first of its kind.
The project looks like a factory prototype, and personally, i think this is the kind of approach, that modern motorcycles should embrace nowadays.
This is the "EGO Project".It was built in Indonesia, and it belongs to Raymond Nainggolan, who customized it on his workshop, with the full collaboration of his friends.

A very attractive and unique build. The most beautiful small displacement motorcycle I’ve seen. I do like his choice of suspension. Modern, but fits the design well and I’m sure it rides nicely! The engine was a great idea. A little extra displacement never hurt anything! And, as always, thank you for Racer TV, the Café Racers only choice! I recommend every new video and share quite a few vial email. But this one takes be back from 70 years of age to 16 in 1969! My first long distance bike ride was on a rented Honda CB 100. Three of us rented and rode from San Francisco CA, USA to Santa Cruz via the Pacific Coast Highway in the rain! It was glorious!! This was a beautiful video of fantastic creative skill by Raymond with a legend bike of ever there was one. I would never have enjoyed this and the memory except for your work. Thank you!!!

This bike has inspired me to be more daring in my own customization (GN125). I'm already using 3D printed parts in it, but not at this level. Maybe I'll have my bike featured in the channel - who knows? Keep up the great work!

It's balm for the eyes to see a project bike with side covers. The classic cafe racer has currently reached a point where the streetfighter was around 2000.

I have a lot of time for small displacement bikes. Not everyone can have a fully blown big CC road rocket ship. After all we all had to start somewhere!!
I love the design of the seat/tail section, very modern but still very practical. The seat doesn't look real! How did they get it that perfectly smooth, in every direction. I was impressed by the simple touches like the cut away side panel to allow the air filter tubing to go through. A simple but cleverly designed idea.
If I have to be picky (and you know I usually am) I was a little concerned by the use of racing slick tyres on a road going "Commuter bike", however they look good and are so much better than the current trend for "knobbly tyres" in my humble opinion.
Is it going to be one of my "Bike of the Year" choices? ... No.
Is it a bike I would have? ... Probably not!
Is it a great piece of design and clever engineering. Yes!

That is a beautifully fresh looking design, albeit based on retro. Techtro, perhaps. Looks production ready. I wonder if the builder has a website?...
it is true that the proportion between the rider and the motorcycle has a significant impact, but we can use optical illusion by reducing the width of our fuel tank to create a larger body appearance. nicely done

I watched these videos on cg125 and thought to myself that i could just get one, when i met with a seller i realized that these small bikes look bigger because they are almost always done by Asian people, turns out the average male height in Indonesia is 163cm which is the same as average female height in my country...
Needless to say i looked like i was riding a bmx...
Yes, i understand your perspective. There are some modifications which may help to disguise the size of the rider. But there are no miracles. The only approach i know to fit taller people, is a scrambler project, just like the Bullit Hero 125. Cheers.
As I have repeated on many occasions, I am a fan of low-displacement motorcycles, both for technical and economic considerations. Without omitting how practical they are in urban, interurban traffic and even on long days of travel. 125 cc motorcycles have crossed the American continent from south to north and vice versa on many occasions, demonstrating that a journey of thousands of kilometers is not something exclusive to big motorcycles and big brands. Plus, they are very fun to use and at the end of the day you end up with a smile on your face and without your arms hurting. In fact, the plastic that dresses many small motorcycles from famous and not so famous brands is a shame for design houses, they are ugly, they look cheap and of course ridiculous. Back to basics and good metal work. This motorcycle, not being a cafe racer, shows new ways of being original, elegant and innovative. I like it extremely.

Honda seem to be missing the in-trend neo-retro design theme..they stopped selling the CB1000R here in Aus..then they released the fugly 750 Hornet..great engine..but shit design..there are a few non-offical retro renders of the CB400 and the CB/GB750 on youtube..hope they make those bikes..hope we see something exciting from them at EICMA 2023..
