Santa Teresa High School Class of '97 in San Jose, CA. Things have changed throughout the years. Simple. No internet and cell phones were slowly creeping in. We had pagers to communicate.
I was class of '99, not here but nevertheless this is awesome to remember how good we all had it then. Guy said "this isn't going on a big screen is it?" No, just 25 years later on a 50 something inch tv in 2023, that's all. Thanks for this btw The era between Nuclear attack drills and intruder drills. Wonder if this kid became a doctor. I never had goals like these people back then. I want to tell this Astros hat guy about 2005. Did Nick Zeller become a pimp? You don't have to be a musician to struggle with rent in 2023. Wonder how many of these kids are still alive. Half the people I would hang with are dead after 25 years.
I should do an update on the folks I have kept in touch with. It would be interesting to see how close they came to guessing their fantasy vs reality predictions
@@cariboux2 the far left building is still east and it has more of the opposite than in this video. there is no math in that building. it’s more social studies and english classes there. in the east gym there is this thing called the REACH program that i am apart of for people who just need extra support for their studies and it has classes too. it’s where the lgbtq club used to meet too but they moved to….. ic, the ic building has a bridge connected from fine arts and the ic building has the library up on the top student resources and some foreign language classes. the ic cafe is now a place to study with rooms and it looks futuristic. in the fine arts it hasn’t changed much since the video. the choir and band room switched i think. then west is where math and science classes are located. and yea there’s a huge social change. a lot of people are out as lgbtq and there is a lot of resources for that and an accepting environment, except for some people. but it’s normal to wear pronoun pins and stuff at school. it’s nice. i feel accepted when i wear my he they pin.
I remember back then if you had a camcorder or a computer you were considered a bit nerdy. Now everyone has them in their phone. I like how the cameras still had film and you hand to wind them up. You also all look so classy dressed up for your prom.
You were allowed to have soft drinks at lunch? It was milk only for us, and they'd unplug the vending machines during lunch period. Who wants to go back to 1997? I'd be the first volunteer! It was some of the best years.
Wow the mentality in 90's on getting married and having kids compared to 2010's is totally opposite. Kids now days don't even think about marriage or having kids. The blame is on media. Specially social media
