Did you need to charge the battery first?
No I didn’t have to charge it
I have two Honda EU2000i in parallel but I am seriously thinking of selling them to buy one of these Firman W3650iR since my max constant load is only 25 amps. One strong point that has me hesitant is the fact that parts for the Honda EU2000i are easy to find so servicing them in the future will not be an issue. The only feature of the Firman W3650iR that I don't like is the fact that it comes with an RV plug, I would have been much happier with an L5-30 twist-lock connection which is much more secure. Also, it would have been nice if the display on the Firman W3650iR also tracked the run time of the generator to help track oil change intervals.

For the price it's a good small generator have one 3300w it has a about 600 hours because Maria Huracane in Puerto Rico... use good good gasoline, change oil 80 hours, spark plug, clean air filter , 1.9 gal % 600 watt loads 9 hours... for back up it did its job great .. down side no fuel gauge...
I agree ..If it had a fuel gauge it would be a perfect package
@@GeneratorReviews Years ago they had a float gauge on outboard external 5 gal. plastic tank and it was part of the fuel cap...I do not know if they are still made or if they would fit the GENNY fuel tank BUT...

I bought one of these and the pull rope came out first pull. Obviously they don't test these before boxing and shipping.

How long and hard do you run them for break in? I just ordered one
I obviously can’t do a full break in but I run them for thirty minutes then change the oil
