    As for the Ros Gvardia, they more or less equivalent to US National Guard since they're a part of the Ministry of Interior Affairs (equivalent to US Dep't of Homeland Security) and are mostly tasked with policing jobs.
    As for conscripts, they're not in frontline as according to the Russian government it's a special military operation, hence there's no mobilization (yet). But they may be drafted to work on rear echelons (i.e. logistics)
    I think one of the reason why Russian army is currently quite disorganized might be due to different branches and ministries involved in a single operation (MoD, MoIA, separatist groups, PMC).

      When comparing LNR and DNR, it seems that DNR forces have more willingness to fight than their LNR counterparts.
      I was also surprised to see SOBR units involved in the conflict (it's some sort of police SWAT).
      That also explains why it takes Russia so much time and effort to take control of Ukraine.

      @@mrobocop1666 that is a combination of over simplification and supposition based on what is largely heresay. If the suggestion here is that; by some (not all) NATO nations providing some equipment (the overwhelming majority of which is recovered former soviet equipment, but some Western equipment as well), plus less than 0.1% of their combined GDP's to support Ukraines infrastructure (medical facilities, schools, electricity, fuels, etc), that russia is having a hard time, then you had better hope putin doesn't actually decide to step a toe over a NATO border.
      Most of NATO military industries work for Ukraine = false, virtually no NATO assets have been deployed in Ukraine, mostly just former soviet assets.
      Most of NATO's economy is working to assist Ukraine = false, less than half of NATO countries have contributed anything economically, and those that have have contributed less than 0.5% of their GDP to Ukraine, and nearly all of that economic contribution was dedicated to keeping Ukrainian civilians alive, not to war chests.
      The only substantially reasonable devotion the West has provided to Ukraine is training, and that alone has resulted in Ukraine punching ruzzia in the nuts, russia has been forced to modernize its military training and practices dramatically in the last 10 months, and the West is taking notes about all of russias weaknesses, and there are clearly many.

      So I did watch a video where one of the separatist spoke about lense flair and how it gave away position to snipers and spotters. And he spoke about how irons are more reliable than red dots. Although cost may be an issue(he's a separatist not getting funds).

      @@tanaziolopez1936 I mean I would totally disagree. Even in urban combat you can shoot well past 500 yards depending on the layouts of the streets and specially if you get to the roofs of buildings but let’s say it’s 80 yards across the street. You’re telling me you’re gonna see some dude in a dark building deep inside trying to hide from yoi and you’re gonna look with your bare eyes amongst a thousand locations where they could possibly be and see him and know that he’s an enemy cuz remember they wear like the same exact camo as the enemy and also engage him and see that your shots hit and then be able to move up and secure the area. They NEED them…trust me. If you don’t have it you are at a huge severe disatvantage. There’s a reason the Russians are getting F’d up and it’s because they have no combat experience and their weapons are less than their opposition. Iron sights are trash in the modern world

    • @snowminkankles1401
      @snowminkankles1401 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@archiij1707 they do make things called kill flashes that will get rid of that lens flare. The point is that when your enemy can see you and engage you effectively rom 500 yards away because they have optics and you can only do it up to 250 yards cuz you have iron sights well then my friend that means that you’re gonna die. That separatist can say whatever he wants but if he said that he’s an idiot and it’s no wonder the Russians are losing

      @@snowminkankles1401 hey man lol im just stating what ive seen, most of the sepratist aren't well equipped and having combat grade optics isnt something common with them, although this war right now seems to be a war of Artillery . it is important to note that this was when russia didnt enter ukraine and it was just donbass vs NATO trained ukraine so his comment of lense flair does make sense. he did good to have survuived that long so hey who knows.

    Rosgvard in occupied territories are used mostly as secret police basically fulfilling same role as NKVD/Geshtapo during WWII towards civilian population. Weather they are using same techniques as NKVD to “motivate” troops remains to be seen but definitely desertion in Russian ranks when they are near. Lightly armed they have little military value as they can be motorised but they do not have armoured vehicles.
