    what pressure does the system commonly operate at on both sides of the pump?

    • @jamesortolano3983
      @jamesortolano3983 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The presure will vary high/low depending on the refrigerant.
      But typically at the discharge side of compressor is the high pressure high temperature gas . Low pressure low temperature gas is found as it leaves the evaporator coil

      @jamesortolano3983 is the refrigerant at a higher pressure than a traditional AC system? is it a different refrigerant?
      thank you

      @@shiddy. not at all the 4 way valve is just a bi -pass to different coils . The pressure is essentially the same operating pressure as a conventional a/c system . The valve adds no pressure , if anything it may decrease only cause of resistance.
      R-11,R-12, operating pressure is much lower than say R-22 in residential A/c , but R-410A operates higher than R-22 .
      So you need a pressure/temperature chart to be familiar with corresponding refrigerant s

      I have a heat pump system already running - it even heats the house when it's -5F outside before the system switches to a gas furnace - it's a new system just a few months old, but I'm very impressed with it so far this winter in minnesota ... just wondering how some of it works - great video 👍
