Portuguese brought them from Africa & kept them as slaves but they adopted our indian culture without getting converted so we must not treat them badly. Even after not getting social justice they didn't complain about it nor they took violence way to achieve their goals they remained as unnoticed & doing their work silently without blaming anyone. Hats off to this wonderful community they deserve our acceptance we are living in 21st century in a country that believes vasudaiva kutumbakam philosophy

Partially true. There are siddhi's who follow Islam, Christianity etc. In Karnataka mainly found in Halayal region but also found in some areas in Gujarat who follow Islam. They claim to be mainly brought from East Africa mainly from Kenya, Tanzania etc. In Kannada cinema few Siddhi's have acted like Siddhi Baira in movie " Bhootayyana maga ayyu"

A chapter about Siddis should be introduced in all school text books, so that every Indian knows about Siddhis. Eventually, no Indian should refer them as 'Africans' when he sees them in real, but instead refer them as 'Siddhis' and confirm if they are Siddhis before declaring them as Africans.
