Hi, can you please confirm Bluetooth is still working after fresh install with windows11, I have Bluetooth issue where icon was missing in task bar and device manager. I checked for installing drivers but didn't worked out. Please check and let me know if it is working.

Good to mention this method doesn't allow to upgrade OS but only fresh installation. How about those registry changes after installation? Bypass TPM check and Secure Boot check will remain on a newly installed system?
The changes remain, but they only affect the setup process and don't matter after, as far as I know.

nice video - what is the advantage of going from win10 to win11 if you bypass TPM and still won't get security updates? or do you?
Computers I did this on were still getting updates. No way for me to know if all of them, but at least some for sure.
Statement from Microsoft "Devices that do not meet these system requirements will no longer be guaranteed to receive updates, including but not limited to security updates."
So, it's up to you. If you don't need W11, then stay on W10.
Pretty cool... How you're still able to run Win 11 on such an old machine. Old is a relative term of course, as Technology advances faster than we get OLD lol

Very impressive. That's very smart way. I do have 2 concerns:
First: you bypassed the MS security check, would this make it vulnerable to security breach?
Second: Would there be any problem in downloading all the drivers needed?
It should not be more vulnerable than a comparable W10 system. You can download the drivers without any problems.

Being that it's not officially supported, is there any issues with drivers on your t430 with Windows 11?
Wow! That's so simple. I don't want to do it now but thinking about Win10 support ending in Oct 2025 because I was thinking of buying another $75 T530 to get some things done now, but I was wondering if better to put that $75 that towards some Gen 8 model. But, hey, the Gen 8 should be more that $75 cheaper in two years.... so, I dunno... Will decide later.

No, clue. I did not invent this method. I just applied on different computers that I worked on, to show it basically works on any brand.

TPM and checking was started in the days of 32 bit still. The case with my Win 8.1 (which was supposedly authorized for Win 10 upgrade as well). I'm hoping this works on my Win 8.1 and it's serial for my Lenovo with Windows 11. :)
Can you explain how the windows activation worked? I am confused because it appears you have deleted the windows 10 installation. I have a similar laptop (with hybrid SSD) with a valid windows 10 installation but I do not understand how 11 knew to activate when the windows 10 was deleted. Thank you.
W10 and W11 activation is done online trough Microsoft servers . Your pc gets recognised trough some markers, motherboard info being the most important. If you change motherboard you lose activation and need to call Microsoft to activate online.

It worked. One caution. If reinstall ever needed do it this way by start up to USB, to erasing the drive, fresh install
Because I found out if you use the Windows settings, recovery/reinstall 11 through net option, 11 is installed, but updates fail. Says no updates to Match your edition.

nice but i found a different method i took my ssd from a working windows11 install, and installed that ssd into my yoga710 and worked fine. must be the same os ie> windows10 Home to windows11 home or you will need a key it can be a windows 7 key.

I did exactly as shown in this video ... but after adding on regedit these keys ...still cannot install Windows 11 and it ask for the Windows 11 serial ...after entering the Windows 11 Pro serial ..the same screen refusing to install Windows 11 reappeared "This PC can't run Windows 11" ...and refuse to install Windows 11 ...Hopeless... To Ultimate DIY ...Please reply how to solve my problem

Apreciez faptul ca ai dezbatut si tema "driverelor", dar laptopul tau are si drivere pentru Windows 10. Intrebarea mea ar fi "Ce te faci daca laptopul are drivere doar pana la Windows 8.1?" Poti folosi acele drivere ca sa folosesti Windows 11? Daca acele drivere nu sunt bune, iar dupa cum vad Windows Update nu garanteaza ca iti va gasi driverele potrivite pentru sistemul tau, poti folosi un program precum "Driver Easy" ca sa faci rost de drivere? Adica, iti va gasi?
Sa iti dau un exemplu. Eu am un Lenovo G500 cu procesorul Pentium Dual Core de 2.2 GHz, iar oficial site-ul Lenovo ofera drivere doar pana la Windows 8.1. Am si discul la el, care are driverele pentru Windows 8. El a venit cu 4GB RAM si i-am facut upgrade la 8GB Acesta ar suporta Windows 11?

Salut. Din experienta mea majoritatea driverelor inclusiv de la W7 merg si pe W10 si W11. Daca ai de W8 cu atat mai mult nu ar trebui sa ai nici o problema. Dar, din pacate asta nu e stiinta exacta, deci o sa vezi doar dupa ce incerci. Si in cazul extrem, in care nu exista driver fix pentru laptop-ul tau la vreun anumit device, gasesti de la altele: th-cam.com/video/E3S4zvpaipU/w-d-xo.html

@@UltimateDIY Salutari! Am un update; consider ca e important de stiut. Am instalat Windows 10 pe laptopul meu Lenovo G500. Totul pare sa meargă bine pana la Placa Video Dedicata (AMD Radeon HD8570M). Driverul care vine cu Windows Update pentru placa dedicata nu ii permite sa funcționeze, ea apărând cu Eroare 43 în Device Manager. Am încercat cu Driver-ul de Windows 8.1 și iata rezultatul:
- Eroarea 43 a dispărut? => Da
- Softul AMD Catalist recunoaște placa drept instalată? => Da
- Placa dedicata este recunoscuta de sistem? => Nu
Practic ea figurează ca instalată și chiar și GPU-Z o detectează, dar programele/jocurile care ar trebui efectiv sa se folosească de ea nu știu de existenta ei. Nici cu Switchable graphics nu poți forța sistemul sa lucreze cu placa dedicata. Windows 10 chiar are acele "Setări grafice", care iti permit sa alegi din Windows cu ce placa sa ruleze programele. Acolo am observat ca, indiferent dacă alegi economisire baterie sau performanta înaltă, iti oferă doar placa integrată Intel drept opțiune. Atunci mi-am dat seama ca sistemul habar n-are de existenta plăcii AMD. De asemenea lag-ul îngrozitor de la niște titluri vechi EA de la mijlocul anilor 2000 mi-a tras un semnal de alarma.
Am încercat tot felul de drivere și singurele care nu dau eroare sunt cele de Win 7 sau 8.1, dar rezultatul este cel descris deasupra. Practic, prin upgrade la Windows 10, puterea grafica a laptopului nu mai poate fi exploatata. M-a dus la concluzia ca laptopul e o cauza pierdută în ceea ce privește folosirea lui cu Windows. Windows 7 merge, dar are limitări de funcționalitate, iar Windows 8.1, desi are suport full pentru drivere, înceteaza sa mai fie suportat și chiar programele încetează sa mai funcționeze pe el.
Singura varianta mai rămâne Linux, si nu mi-am dorit sa se ajungă la asta, deoarece compatibilitatea cu titlurile disponibile doar pe Windows este precară sau inexistenta. Practic laptopul devine doar stație de lucru și atât, la gaming ciuciu. Asta e prostia sau lenea celor de la Lenovo, care au lansat laptopul cu doar 2 ani înainte de apariția Windows 10 și nu le-a pasat sa creeze drivere compatibile cu Windows 10, măcar cu Windows 10!
Atat am avut de spus, ca sa știe toți care au acest laptop sa nu-și bată capul cu Windows 10 sau 11, ca nu merita. Linux ar părea singura varianta, și nici măcar ala nu știu dacă merge, ca nu l-am testat. Probabil o voi face în viitor, ca oricum nu am de ales, și voi comunica ce am aflat.
În încheiere aș recomanda evitarea laptop-urilor cu placi dedicate AMD. Softul de la AMD este putin spus "dezamăgitor". Și chiar am acum dubii în privința seriozității brandului Lenovo, pe care încep sa nu îl mai consider demn de a duce mai departe legacy-ul IBM.

I tried installing Windows 11 on Lenovo Thinkpad T540P. Although i installed it but Wifi is not showing up, search bar not working properly. I downloaded windows 11 from some 3rd party link.
But why not use the official Media creation tool from Microsoft website, to create the W11 installation media?

@@UltimateDIY For older unsupported pcs i created bootable usb which is modified for pcs without secure boot and tpm. I followed this video th-cam.com/video/5rDJyMXbPdE/w-d-xo.html. It's more simple that messing arround with registry. And i also think that this laptop needs an SSD ;)
All computers need an SSD in this day, but some owners still think that a mechanical hdd is enough (no, it's not😆).
