Do people realise these are soldiers on duty?! The horses are soldiers on duty! It’s not bloody Disneyland…did even one person say “thank you for your service”. I bet not! How people treat these horses is totally disgraceful, disrespectful, and downright disgusting…. They wouldn’t work and start patting a service dog, but they will crowd around the soldier/kings guard and his/her horse as if they are only there for their enjoyment…
To all soldiers, and their animals everywhere, “thank you for your service” 💙 from 🇦🇺

@@justbystander770 magnificent and well-behaved as they are, each with its own temperament, they are still horses, and are there for whatever the hour brings. That horse, for some reason, was temperamental from the time it was on camera. Maybe that horse’s day had come around to be left alone?😂 In my observation, of horses, guards, police, and tourists, tourists have the highest number of deportment marks! In fact, horses and guards put up with far more than I would in their trying circumstances. Clearly more. In fact, I’ve never seen them at fault, and I have the highest respect and enjoyment in both and watch several times daily from across the pond. I wish my childhood friend were still alive to watch. @@littlebrookreader949 did I made a complaint? I agree with you it’s the disrespect most tourists show and think it’s a circus attraction. It’s not they are on duty so have a job to do. The ignorance of most is disgusting. I love horses owned on myself , a spicy one but I knew him and his behavior. Some don’t like crowds surrounding them and some love it. But it doesn’t mean they can have a bad day. I have great respect of both guards and horses. And I can watch them for hours but sadly you get the annoying tourist with it. I would not mind to place the tourists behind a fence .they still can take pictures if they like. The only thing is they are not on it themselves. Or they can buy a postcard. But my opinion from all I have seen leave those magnificent horses alone and if you want a picture approach them calmly but don’t touch. But that’s my opinion. And I have seen them but it was long ago. We never came on the thoughts to walk over touch them or take a picture with them. We behaved. I have seen on the square the change of guards. Many of these soilders train to ride and control their mounts without the use of reins. The standard of training is very high for both human and horse. You have to remember that these horses are not just trained to stand, but also to charge and it's a tough job to keep them calm with the amount of movement, noise, etc going on around them. I had the privilege of riding with mounted recruits in Berlin, many years ago as a teenager whilst my father was posted there. I wasn't treated any differently and believe me you knew you had worked hard. They then had to go back to stable duties and cleaning the tack, etc, I got to go home and rest. Absolutely have the highest respect for those that met the standard and do this job.

He obviously loves and has great respect for these beautiful creatures. Wonder what he thinks about many of the tourists they have to put up with!

Horse is NOT HAPPY. Some of the reasons range from wanting a treat and not getting it to extreme tummy pain and/or stress. Whatever the cause, when foot pawing happens, STAND BACK AND LEAVE THE HORSE ALONE. Kicking can accompany pawing and if you are kicked by a horse of this size and weight, you will be in hospital in a great deal of pain.

Why some other tourists can't read clearly the signs attached on the wall. Hindi ba nila nakikita na on duty both the horse and the guard.

I find that People are SO DISRESPECTFUL TO THESE HORSES AND GUARDS! Yes I am sure people are excited and want a picture with them but I don't think it's appropriate. When the Horses are Already Agitated and crowds of gawking idiots with their selfie sticks and cameras just staring it makes me upset. I'm sure the energy in the crowds is Palpable at times and these Horses can literally feel it coming at all directions. People touching them. Shameful! All to post on Social media I'm sure. They are the KINGS GUARD and should be treated as such. With the respect.. it amazes me how people are and how people get group thinking on. I would have voiced my big AMERICAN OPINION and told people to move on and back way up. Especially when the video started and the horse was struggling. This is a real military unit with in the British Military. I mean I know a little bit about it. I know it's not men dressing up every they get treated like it. It would be like our MARINES at the White House getting intentionally disrespected by idiots on White House tours. I don't think they come in to Contact.. just trying to find a similar situation. But Citizens in any capacity willfully disrespecting our ACTIVE DUTY Military ( veterans) Just because they want to get pictures and they feel entitled. It bothers me. I come from a long line of men who have served in different branches of the Military USA AND I have two sons in the USA Marines. I volunteer at the veterans administration. Some people might not see them as a "Regular unit" or part of the British Military and they are wrong . They are the ROYAL Guard. I don't think most tourists get it. I think they think it is a show or something for them. 🙄. It bothers me. They need to put boundaries in place, with So many feet back, and definitely no touching of the horses.. our World has gone to crap and unfortunately there are psychos out there that would hurt an innocent horse. I feel sorry for these Guards who have to put up with these CLASSLESS PEOPLE who apparently have no boundaries are respect for the Crown . I do. I envy it and appreciate the History and Traditions.
