I'm 80 yrs old and have very little energy or stamina so watching you is really fun. I can't believe how strong you must be to work so long and hard and still manage to smile and be funny. This series fixing you grams truck is very special because it honors her. I know she'd be very proud of you. Keep it up...
Hearing an explanation of Nev-R-Dull by Sarah is great. Hearing it at 2x playback speed is hilarity. I'm pretty sure I still have a can of Brass-O in the garage next to an unopened Nev-R-Dull.
"That is so crazy how close I am getting this done" .. standing in front of the depanelized, demotorized chassis due to be repainted. 😂 Love this series. It'll be a gem.
Also, a air mini belt sander works like a charm for getting those spot welds ground down for separation. Way less work than a spot weld drill bit. It will fit into those hard to reach spots and save you a bunch of time. Grab one of those and a panel splitter(kind of like a very stout putty knife).
I love your Channel gives me motivation to work on the beetle my uncle gave me that I will give my daughter, I am 50 next week, I used to help my dad work on cars, I don't know much lol, My sister lives in Tucson been there a few times 😊
Diggin the curls! Your attention to the little details like preserving the stickers is wild. That never would have even dawned on me. This project is a testament to your determination. Your positive attitude and can-do spirit is refreshing.
This series turned me on to your channel and I've really been enjoying it. Your deadpan is such a nice relief from the over-enthusiastic/loud/cheesy personalities in this space. Keep up the great work!
I'm sure that it's been mentioned before, but anytime you drill metal, try using some kind of cutting oil or lubricating oil. It'll prolong the life of your bits.
a couple of things up front, your new hair is Fantastic! that is a great look! I love how you, as a veteran, keep a can of neverdull around, and yeah, it works, just add elbow grease! the main this is I love how excited you are to be working on your Grams truck, you say, it's almost done, but all of us viewers know you got quite a bit more to go before you declare it finished.
15:19 You probably already know this, but the metal tag on the left of the donor core support needs to be replaced with the one that came off at 4:50. It's the body style/options/paint color tag. 😁 My Dad has a '93 Ranger and watching you work on your Gram's truck brings back memories.
For your spot weld drill, there is a product called "Drill Chill". It comes in an aerosol can and comes out like a foam and sticks to the bit. Good stuff, get some. Works well on regular drills also.
These chapters of your life are always so well received. What a perfect mix of anticipation, casual drama, humor (dark or otherwise), interspersed successes. All these accoutrements of Sarah mixed in with a heaping heroic helping of hard work. All this makes a continuing win win relationship. At least that is my wish.
Well, look at you girl! AWESOME!!! You are nailing this project, and as a current (32years) worker on the line of automotive building, OH YA BUD! You drilling out the welds was perfect, we did that on line. Those who read this will understand .Keep up the great Videos. Cheers from Canada.
1:40 when drilling out the spotwelds put a front magnet in a ziplock below your drilling then then your shaving will stick & all you’ll have to do is flip ziplock inside out take magnet out & Walla all your metal shavings will be inside the Ziploc bag easy throw away. And 7:05 dustgusting is the sniglet you could’ve used 😅 🔥
Sarah just a little heads up on something I learned watching another utuber. The spot weld bit saves the panel behind. In your case the core support ends up with a hole and the piece its attached to does not. So on the parts truck you can just drill out the spot welds all the way through with a standard bit, usually 5/16. You end up putting a hole in the back piece also but your not using that so it doesn't matter. Makes it easier when you remove that part. Some panels have a mix of front and back orientation so you have to think about it before you drill it all the way through. Nice job, truck is looking great.
I love the care and effort you put into everything. I totally agree with you on not wanting to wait 10 hours for the penetrating to do its thing. But if you spray everything all at once at the beginning. In the end, some things will have been able to sit for a day or two. I've worked on older vehicles and taking the time to do this at the beginning or the night before you plan on working on it. Spray it. You will be so surprised at how much easier it is and bolts you've saved from breaking. And sometimes even just 15min with penetrating oil can help. I've been binge watching your videos. Loving it
Sarah you don’t have to work so darn hard on every video! We would like to see you out and about doing other activities also like just about anything!!!Thanks! ❤️❤️❤️
When you go away from home/shoppe; (like out to the parts yard) recommended: make a check list of tools you need, and water 💦 enjoying each episode of these Ranger posts
Top tip... Little spray bottle of water soluble machining coolant sprayed on bit as you go, or a small cup of it and dip the bit in to cool a few times per spotweld will prolong the life of its cutting edge as you are effectively machining out the spot welds and you wouldn't run a milling machine cut dry! 😉
I never heard of Neverdull until I was in Air Force basic training (a million years ago) and I've used it so may times since then. This Ranger makes me nostalgia so hard my chest hurts. You're doing great things keep it up.🌴🌴
May I envy your work ethic and aspire to do as much as you do? Your relentless efforts with such a cute and comical persona are unique and unforgettable.
Nice work on the spot welds. I watch a lot of rebuilders on You Tube and they all do spot welds just like you did. This truck is turning out to be a real gem. Looking forward to the next episode. Keep up the great work.
Hello Felllow AZ'er...Sarah, you do such a great job editing. It makes me nervous to even start or begin...Thanks for doing such a great job making the technical fun.
I have a 94 4.0 Automatic so watching you take parts off and install everything on the new frame is an instructional video for me. I love your video's, thanks, can't wait to see the finished product!

You've had some great luck with obtaining replacement parts. It's exciting to see how close you are to completing Gram's truck. The spot weld disassembly was amazing.
I have a 1937 and a 39 Zephyr in which the body is spot welded to the chassis. They need to be separated. I’ll then make a chassis from scratch and make the body bolt on. I love watching you do badass things.

I was thinking the same thing.

Fixing up my Ranger. 200,000 miles but now runs like new. Thanks for the break down and inspiration along the way.
It shows that your Gram loved and took great care of her truck....I'll bet she is smiling down on you. What a great way to remember her....I love it.
Wahoo, Curly Sarah has returned!

The work you do is amazing. Thank you for taking the time to document your efforts and sharing them with us. You rock.
Isn’t it great how the simple things can bring such joy. So happy the stickers worked out so well
This series is my favorite... Super satisfying and you can tell it's meaningful to you!

Please wear Saftey Glasses when Drilling. Your eyes look far better without steel in them. I learned this the hars way.
Convulsive eye an face spasms when it starts rusting in your eye… suuuuper painful. Eye pro is key!
That's why you havetwo
True, so true.
Been there. Having the ER doc extract metal shavings from your cornea with a magnet and tweezers sucks real bad…

I'm glad to see Sarah finally getting the support she needs.
👍😆
Just the greatest creator and channel 😊❤️
Never dull to the rescue... thank you Air Force!!!
If you wanted to keep the core support removable you could rivet it in place, rivets are way easier to drill out. My two bits.. love your show.
Love the curls.
Natural wavy hair.
Pretty curls and color Sarah 👩🦰
The happiness you exude when you figure out the stickers and how your end result will be, priceless! Thanks Sarah!!
Glad to see someone get excited about decals
Great video Sarah, that bumper polished up nicely. I love how beautifully curly your hair is, you should wear it like that more often.
Love your hair!
Black on black with a splash of crazy colors fits you perfectly, Sarah.

“Ooh a sticker!” freaking awesome!
It's without a shadow of a doubt going to be the best preserved '93 Ford Ranger out there.
Thanks for another excellent video.
So picky, so meticulous, so talented and your putting an old engine in it!
This is a lot of work...I saw my cousin build his own car back when I was 16 and know what this takes. Congrats

Kicking names and taking ass! Great progress!

If you add some cutting oil when you use the spot weld cutter, it will help the bit last longer
Love watching this progress on the truck. Great work.
3:56 That's your fuel computer calibration code. If you keep the original EFI, you may need that at some point.
Sara you need a Milwaukee right angle tool they make drills and impacts for both M12 and M18 they are great!
