    Okay, beginning with a spiral and taping across to make the meandering path, that is interesting.

    Where do you get the tape floor applicator? What brand are you using?

      It's called a tape runner and I used to buy them from ToolLab, but haven't seen them available recently. I saw one on Zipup.com called a Floorboard Tape Dispenser, but haven't purchased one from them yet

    what are you using to lay the tape down with? Is it something I can get at a hardware store?

      It's called a tape runner. This one is handmade by Robert Ferre using a modified tape gun and a painter's pole but you can also buy them online pre-made. My favorite is from ToolLab.
